Also there aren't many instances where being short is an advantage but at a shade uner 5'7" I was able to raise the drivers seat up high and get my shoulders a couple inches above the door line and still have a couple of inches of head room. I could see out very well, no problems with mirrors or anything, probably wouldn't buy one if I was really tall, my sales guy had to lower the seat almost all the way and he was cacooned inside head just above the door, not so good for him.
I think you get a lot for your money in a Camaro, the robots clearly make it possible to bring it all in at a price a regular guy can afford and that is the point for me cause I'm gonna buy one this Dec just saving my pennies. Most other sports cars I couldn't afford or even sniff at but I can get alot of car for $22000 in the base Camaro and then customize along the way.
You people don't know a lot about automation . Robots aren't late, sick , tired or pissed off at their bosses. Which means you get a better product. This factory is based on the Porsche factory. Watch the porche ultimate factory video and tell how many differences you see. I have a $80,000 911 and I drove my neighbors $40,000 2010 Camaro SS. This is a quality car with 60 more horse power and he can drive his kids around. My porsche is not $40,00 better than this car.
i love these cars great in a straight line,not much for the twisty stuff though!Living in new zealand (where they dont know how to make a straight road!!!) is the only reason i didnt get one,went with a gtr skyline instead.

Textbook example of what went wrong with GM and Chrysler, absolutely no regard for quality. Compare this video with the ones of Porsche, Lamborghini, and Audi. Then you will now why Europeans and Japanese laugh at American cars. Did anyone also notice how many robots they use, especially for important jobs, it's as if GM doesn't trust it's own workers.
@aligborat There is a reason that this car costs way less than those cars that you outlined. This was designed to be a cheap muscle car. Does it have quality? Yes. Compared to Porsche, Lambo and Audi. Nope. They use robots for speed and precision. It is much cheaper to pay to install a robot, then to pay out a workman's comp claim.

What does building a fast car have to do with building a good quality car? Anyone can build a fast car, it doesn't mean that the car is well made. Plus, I never said that Camaros weren't fast, they are, but they have serious quality control issues. Corvettes and Vipers are better, but are overpriced for the build quality they possess. I know someone who has owned three or four vettes and has told me they always start to fall apart after 50K miles even when stored during the winter.
Built with my tax dollar regardless if I like it or not. I had a 95 Camaro Z28 with the LT1 block and loved it. I had a 2000 Sierra SLT and loved that also. Now I have a 2010 Jeep Wrangler, a Hyundai, a Nissan and a Ford truck. I refuse to buy GMC regardless of where it is made simply because the management is still fat old greedy pigs digging my tax dollars. The Camaro is a beautiful car made in 60 seconds? By the most ugly of companies and that is a good reason to boycott them.

Yes I have had a GMC Sierra SLT trim and it was a freaking mess from the factory on day one. Door handles fell off, weather stripping was never glued in place, the thing was way out of alignment and for $54,000 I exppect better. GM sucks and so do their cars. Well, except the Corvette which still rocks but to hell with Government Motors. Truth hurts!!

@Da1nonlysteven I've been in the truck plant in 2000, it was truly remarkable. It's too bad GM doesn't do public tours, maybe people would see how much work and effort is put into assembling the cars.
