It's unfair to brand all republicans racist. I used to be a republican, and certainly was never a racist. I think that the crowd took over GOP just knows how to use racism to win elections, which is just as bad.

Also, notice the little "balancing act" at the end of the story, the little weasel (IMHO) newcaster just had to make sure that all was "fair & balanced" with his snide comment "so what you're saying is that politics is dirty", in other words, "no big deal, everybody plays dirty, so this a non-story".

Democrats are the ones who seem to have problems with dark skin, not Republicans. I mean, so what if Paulsen's skin is darker, does that make him a bad person? Give me a break.

This is no different than Democrats saying to McCain, "No, Obama's not a Muslin, but so what if he was?" Now I say Democrats, "No Ashwin Paulsen is not that dark, but so what if he was?"

I don't know that his skin was intentionally darkened. They blurred his face, like is often done in negative ads. The claims of the ad should alarm people. The courses they cited are over two years old. Madia wasn't running then, and I think he was still in Iraq, so the connection between those sources and Madia is awfully dubious. Besides, Madia clearly is advocating tax increases only on incomes over $250,000. Agree or don't, but don't lie about what he's advocating.
