the flowmaster super 44 series on a 4.3 does sound good at a lower RPM but at a high rev you can here a slight sound of them 2 cylinders missing lol. i built a nice 4.3 vortec to run have a nice exhaust super 44 but i did not enjoy the high revs but at the stop light sounds like a 305 with straights ... props to chevy with that 4.3 they did a good job N its a hell of a engine ...

man that sounds good...not sure where the "ricer" sound is in this truck. if i wanted something as loud as the super 44 i would get it, im looking at a 60 series though

the engine in my truck is exactly the same a vortec v8 just minus two cylinders. Therefore it sounds exactly the same as the v8 would just missing two cylinders firing. So i think you should turn up the volume on your hearing aid or something cuz i'm just not hearing this rice burner sound you do.

@nofearX18 to get a good sound just buy a flowmaster muffler and k&n air intake. It will sound the same.

You said 200 4 the y-pipe, did you have a muffler shop custom bend it or was it bought? If you bought it where did ya get it? I really want one 4 my extreme.

$200 for the y-pipe

I had to get a new Cat since i ran 3in pipe $75

And the muffler was like $80

All the labor for the custom pipe was about $150

So total of around $500
