@esepelon903 3 ways you can do this. buy a hardware compressor run you mic or mic pre amp into the compressor to your computer. 2(method used here) buy a soundcard that allow you to use effects in real time. 3. put the effect plug in on the track. click on th echo off button so you can use the effect in real time. 2 b honest the 3 never worked well for me. 2 see how i use the 2nd method utube search maltcus emu 0404 card. i demo how i use effects in real time

@LatinKorpz well thats the problem. 3 - 4 effect each channel? yea your computer can't handle that many effects. You could bounce to track which will put the effects on the track and the the plug ins will not be taking up CPU. see big grime cakewalk sonar busses and sends. This will help you out.

The only reason why I don't have it cause I have started other projects and I don't have the money for it. Other then that I would have it. For some people it mat be a over kill. If you don't make beats then the Fantom in the interface would be no good. If you are not using outboard gear the 18 inputs and 24 outputs will be no good to U. So its depends on your needs. I want it bad.

yes the more you sing out of tune or have changes in the voice you will hear the effect more. Some people think you can sign like sh*t and put the t-pain effect on it and its all good. There's a method to using the effect.

if you are not using sonar 5 or up then you won't. If you have sonar 5, 6, 7, or 8 and you don't see v-vocal you either not looking in the right place or you have a crack version gone bad. Like in the video that plug in is not in you plug in list. you have to right click on the clip and find v vocal there.

To give you a quick answer yes but, that doesn't mean one is better then the other. Its depends on your needs. Sonar and Pro tools can do a lot and there's different levels of Pro Tools.
