The control room at EMI studio #2 had a separate BTR2 mono tape recorder that would be used just for the tape-echo effect that the Beatles used for their recordings. John Lennon especially loved it and would always want it in his headphones when he was singing. He referred to it as "Elvis echo"! The BTR2 was usually set running at 30 inches per second, and the space between its sync head and playback head was about 3.25 inches, so the delay time between the repeats is about 108 milliseconds.
Is this a subliminal message??
