Not many versions of this song have touched me like this. And I know, i have been through them all to find the best version to play on my mother's funeral, exactly three years ago today. This is an absolutely beautiful version of an already beautiful song. You haven't tried to outdo the original version but added just enough to make it stand out. The saxophone solo is from another world and literally 'breathes' so much emotion through the little nuances and hiccups here and there. .....
I really do love this song by Sakamoto. And that sax solo near 3:00, that was really something. It truly caught me off guard, and just took me somewhere else. In fact I think i was kidnapped by the music! You guys did an amazing job. Do you take requests? :D
Correct me if I'm wrong. But I believe this is the only rendition of this song done by another person. It is truly a shame that only so few were able to hear this, for it takes esteeming courage and skill to execute such a beautful cover of a masterpiece. And for that, you have my gratitude of being able to listen to this oustanding masterpiece of its own right. Thank you.
