@tate180 It is a 1984 Carvin V220 with Carvin M22 pickiups. The body and neck are solid rock maple and the fret board is ebony. This makes it's natural resonance quite loud. The mid-range is in your face when you plug it in.

@beyondlwm I had this great tab from a Japanese transcription of the song. I changed some of the fingerings to better suit myself but it didn't have any tapping. Is it on the 12th fret of the high E?

Listen to the recording again and note where he puts emphasis in the bends and how he inflects and slides between notes....
