The song was 15 to 20 years old at this point, and not played live that often. It also has quite a lot of words. Doesn't seem to be using the prompts much anyway far as I could see.

This is one of the Bad Seeds best songs, and a stand-out track on Murder Ballads, which is crammed full of some great songs. This version is an absolute belter!

Nick always makes slip-ups live, he's just not great at remembering lines. I went to one of his gigs once where he tried to do God Is In The House, forgot the words one verse in and just filled in the gaps with "the kittens the kittens the... kittens, the kittens..." Hey faszafasza, have you ever sung on a stage, even in front of a medium size club (which is what I'm guessing Le Transbordeur is by the looks of it)? I have (to a crowd of several hundred people), and it's not as easy as you might think. You don't get do-overs, the song just keeps going, and you can't just hum the parts you don't know like people do in the shower. You must project. I don't mean to flame you, just to point that out. Yes, even your own song. It's not as easy as some make it look
