  • Lets hope they don't let that monster out in the summer.

  • Put a tennis ball in the pond, and it won't ice over again. :)

  • @kettler1996 You'd need something a bit bigger than your average tennis ball

  • Those fish cant breathe with out a air hole... even if this video is from 2009 . oh well i have a pond full of fish and every time it ice's over i go and crack the ice for them

  • zasnęłam z nudów (I've slept because this movie is so boooring)

  • Aw!! Cute~!!!!!

  • That cat is going to get it no matter how cold its little paws get. Thank you for posting this video.

  • hahahaha. Dumbass cat. A dog would know that it's called ICE

  • Cat's are so dumb, dogs even dumber.

  • stupid invisible force field

  • As cute as this video is, it doesnt really make a lot of sense..Koi fish like those need warm water to survive, and how do you feed them if there is ice over it? Also I havent seen a lot of people who have koi fish out in the open like that, and have a cat. Is this the cats first time out there?

  • this cat = too cute!xx

  • I love how the cat jumps back in the bush so the fish cant see it@!

  • like a baws!!!

  • There's something a little fishy about this video...

  • judging by the tile i thought the cat was high

  • Cat: Damn this impenetrable force field!

  • Buddha!

  • No they won't, my dad has one of those fish ponds, and they are fine through the winter.

  • just wondering.. how are those fish going to breathe?

  • your fish are going to be frozen like fish fingers xD

  • my cat can do this any day of the week

  • I am digging this zen set up you have.

  • @wiseclock08 You can see one swimming away from the cat at the beginning of the video.

  • on frozen pond lol

  • Are you sure the Fish aren;t frozen?

  • @wiseclock08 When the water temperature of a pond drops to a very low point (eg freezing) fish in a sense go into hibernation. Their metabolism slows right down, and they just drift around in the pond.

I have a large koi pond, and for three to four months of the year, they hardly move, and eat almost nothing.

  • yeah ice is fucking trippy

  • Funny part is that the FISH seem to understand the concept of ice, & know the cat isn't a threat.

  • I was expecting the cat to break through the ice.

  • cat: where did u go fishy??? oh well. im bored.... OHH OTHER FISHIES! im watching u fishies!

  • i was expecting a cat on crystal meth

  • @pandahbearyah27 lol XD I love cats but that would be kind of funny

  • thumbs up if you saw the channel name ._.

  • Fish: hey guys look at this idiot!!

  • have a whole living room floor done like this the cat would freak

  • my cat would love this

  • SOMEONE GIVE THE POOR CAT A FISH!

  • Come on Misty, use Starmie

  • LOL 1:37

  • Hey guys,I am Jesus!I can walk on water!Oh look fish!Just...hang....wait a minute....CURSE MY POWERS!

  • This is just the cat's way of worshipping the budda.

  • i believe that golden budda did it

  • Cat: I BET I CAN CATCH THESE FISH!

    Fish: CHALLENGE ACCEPTED

  • @superandiknowit Should be the other way around . Fish: I bet you can't catch us Cat: Challenge accepted :)

  • how's the fish still alive?

  • @6FaceDrak There will be tiny (as in miniscule) gaps in the ice where oxygen will be able to get in to water (in bubles) and allowing the fish to survive. ^^

  • @6FaceDrak only the top is frozen and goldfish are very resilient we accidentaly drainedor fish thig and didnt realise til 3 days later and the goldish were stil alive

  • @6FaceDrak Since water and ice are poor conductors of heat[23] (good insulators) it is unlikely that sufficiently deep lakes will freeze completely, unless stirred by strong currents that mix cooler and warmer water and accelerate the cooling. In warming weather, chunks of ice float, rather than sink to the bottom where they might melt extremely slowly. These phenomena thus may help to preserve aquatic life.

  • @6FaceDrak only the surface is frozen. lower, where there are water currents, the water cant freeze.

  • @6FaceDrak its ice retard

  • @frandrecher987 Oxygen? Winter kill does occur in lakes. The fish die due to lack of oxygen. Thats probably what 6FaceDrak is talking about..

  • @6FaceDrak Dumb question, get out.

  • @NinjaJad fuck you troll. YOU get out. your jealous i got so many thumbs up lol

  • Comment removed

  • @6FaceDrak at winter, the water at the bottom of the lake is at 4 degrees Celsius, even if there is ice on the surface, because the water is most dense at 4°C

  • @6FaceDrak Physics... how does it work? (Your basic high school science class should explain this concept...)

  • @6FaceDrak

The layer of ice is only thin along the surface. It will only ever completely freeze over if temperatures hit really low degrees.

Also, the plant life in the pond creates oxygen for the fish to survive on.

If there was no plant life, the fish would die after several days.

  • @6FaceDrak its ice

  • @6FaceDrak Ice at the top water at the bottom

  • @6FaceDrak A very tiny bit of logic would answer that

  • I interpreted the title as giving a cat methylamphetamines...

  • man, the fish can stand the cold? wouldnt they freeze to death?

  • @Gaaraissomineforever fish can be frozen solid for winter and thaw out in summer and be fine and hungry as fuck.

  • What is this magical shield???

    !

  • Jesus cat is confused *

  • "AM I SOME KIND OF GOD? I CAN'T FISH ANY MORE SO...........WHY DO I HAVE SUCH GREAT POWERS!!!!!

  • I was expecting an ice skating show.

  • @Theonegamefreak Right? I want a triple axle now!

  • @BogusMojo As for this show: 2/10

  • @Theonegamefreak What are you the French Judge?

  • I thought it meant a cat on drugs..

  • I like the fact that when the ice melts the cat won't know and jump in.

  • LOOK MA I CAN WALK ON WATER! :D

  • Buddha is merciful!

  • cats lik ; why cant i get them , their just there ,,, lmao ,, thanx for sharin :)

  • "give meh the fisheh!"

  • 0:22 Look natural.

  • mine mine mine min!!!!! y cant i get the fishies?!?!?!?!

  • IT has been 7 days and i am running low on food, no matter what I will find ElectroZ0's comment, that Supermassively replyed to 10 months ago....I will contiune....

  • this confirms my theory that cats are slightly nutty.

  • 1:05 Quick lick break, then back to work.

  • dam u fishies have forcefiel u win this round!

  • I was born and raised in Florida and have only seen snow on vacations maybe 4 or 5 times, but I've never seen a pond only frozen on top. What happens to the fish if the water totally freezes? Do they die or just unfreeze? Why does only the top of the water freeze but it's ok for a cat to stand on without breaking? Do these fish not need to breathe air? Ask me any question you want about hurricanes though... ;)

  • you are SOAKED!!!!!

  • you should cover the pond with cling film then when the cat tries to walk on it SPLASH

  • You're so hot, you melt the plastic in my underwear.

  • hes like i got you then hes like shit i dont got you

  • The Cat is Like "OMG FISHEEEZ!!!"

  • look behind u misty the fishies are behind u! lol!!! how adorable haha!!!

  • The fish have a new clever defense!

  • WHAT IS THIS SORCERY???

  • lol

  • 1:18 air hockey

  • We used to have a gold fish pond which would freeze over. It is important to keep holes open for the fish to breath. Which I am sure you know. anyways since it froze over during christmas I had the idea to place a plastic an bauble in the water. sure did the trick.

  • @Ischi71 The air isn't for them to breath, it is for the oxygen. Fish take in oxygen through the water whereas mammals take it in through the air. If you put air bubbles in the water it keeps the oxygen count up so that the fish can breath. When fish come to the surface they are simply looking for food, not breathing. If you are young then this is an honest mistake but if you are older then this is the mark of an education system in trouble.

  • @girlygirl4149 Instead of lungs fish have gills and they breathe by opening their mouths and drawing in the water and forcing it through their gills. A fish's gill has extremely thin membranes, which allows the oxygen from the water to pass through into the blood vessels of the gill. Then, the much-needed oxygen is carried to other parts of the fish's body.

Of course they need oxygen and to simplify it I called it breathing. so unless there are holes in the ice they won't be able to get air.

  • the whole video i'm waiting for the ice to break

  • cats are SOO SEXY!!! LOL

  • diffin cat lol

  • Now in theatres! Cats on ice!!!

  • The fish are fine, if the pond is deep enough there is still unfrozen water at the bottom. There is also algae growing in which the fish can get its nutrition. They are also getting oxygen because any water plant surviving in the water will produce the oxygen. And once the ice starts melting, it will also help produce more oxygen for the fish. They may have a heater at the base to ensure the pond wont completely freeze over. where we are at, it can get -30 degrees in winter.

  • Ninja cat with magical skating powers.

  • Ha ha! The fish are all like, "Na, na, na na, na!"

  • lol !

  • Why didn't you break the icy and feed the fishes??!!! They are trapped under icy with no foods!!! You are moron!

  • @JADEAV obviusly fishes are not trapped cause there is water under the ice with propably enough oxygen and the fact that there is a green bottom means that they have enough food.

  • @JADEAV Fish in the ocean dont get "fish food"they eat algae. You know that green bottom. What r u six?If ur gonna be a douche on the internet make sure ur spellings correct!

  • @KrystalCableTV Oh nonsense!....I wasn't talking to you!....

  • can these fish survive?

  • haha stupid cat he thinks is a person and is a cat

  • Umm.....are those orange things fish?and if they r frozen in the watre, wont they die D: (i have bo prob,im not gunna be like ANIMAL ABUSE) cause i dont know shit about fish XD

  • LOL!! you know the fish are totally teasing the cat xD

  • @MultiMisty111 mine used to be:(

  • the 3 fish to the side... are they frozen? o.o... can fish die from that?

  • @15NekoEmo nope well they can.. I don't get it ether fish needs oxygen.... but I also heard if you freeze them they live? wtf? but then again they are cold bloded creatures... WHATS THE TRUTH PPL!?!?!

  • I MUST HUNT I MUST HU... na, now i need to wash myself.. I MUST HUNT I MUST HUNT!

  • Smart kitteh

  • Those fish must have been freezing. :L

  • Everyone - there's a reason why water's solid state floats on top of its liquid state (only molecule to behave this way). Ice is less dense then water, which means it floats on top of the water - effectively insulating the rest of the pond/lake/etc..

  • @banifacio yeah you learn that in 3rd grade...

  • @jdfashiongirl101 Read the comments. You'd be surprised at how many people didn't know that.

  • My teachers(a married couple) would freeze their fish every summer and the fish will be just fine when school started...I think its creepy lol

  • cat:ha bitch gotcha now

fish:ha my forcefield will protect us

  • ABSOLUTELY PRICELESS! =)

  • I hope that ice was thick. That would not be cool if it fell inside...

  • chuck a stone in when the cats on the ice!!! lmfao

  • @MrLlewz no melt it and bring the cat back 5 minutes later.......

  • co za asy...

  • Frozen fish to be, damn that's cold

  • Fish: GYEAAAAAAAAAH!!! *swims away*

Cat: *waits three seconds for their memories to clear*

Fish: Gosh, my heart is racing rather fast for some reaso-WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!! *swims away*

  • That made me laugh. Would have been even funnier if the cat had broken through the ice. It didn't look very thick to me.

  • 00:05 DIE BITCH!!!!!!!!!

  • I don't know how cold it gets where you are at but here someone I know puts his fish in a large fish tank in the house for the winter. Their life span diminishes drastically being allowed to freeze like that, the ponds simply aren't like lakes...big and deep. Of course here it gets to be 20 below zero so...but that is an option is bringing them inside.

  • Those fish must be laughing their asses off.

  • pod ta woda są ryby które nie maja dostępu do tlenu... już pewnie po nich ;(

  • what an horror for the fishes... to see your worst big predator trying to catch you for dinner just over you... they must be praying for ice can just hold it

  • ......its no even funny.....

    but its a... cute.

  • pretty smart cat to hide in bush then come out

  • @maxrocks234 not smart... instinct.

  • @maxrocks234 it must have a stealth mode, my dog has one :)

  • @maxrocks234 Strange, whenever I do that, I get called a rapist.

  • are the fish trapped under ice?

  • @ElectroZ0 Do you expect them to come live on dry land for the winter?

  • @ElectroZ0 Yesh if you have fish outside you need a place for them in the winter or cover the water so the water dosent freeze, in this case theres a clear cover over the fishes then the person put water over it so you can still see them

  • @ryanlink4

Not true, fish are just fine in the winter, and you do not cover them. They just slow down in the winter with their activity decreased. They sell pond heaters to keep a small hole open at the top for oxygen if you have a small pond - That is what appears to be in the middle of this pond. I have owned a small pond with frogs and fish for many years.

  • @ElectroZ0 no they just come up for air when they need to

  • @ElectroZ0 Probley yes but it okay for fish once there sitn any turtel that need air... It won't harm the ond fish

  • @ElectroZ0 Ehm, it's the fish? They are supposed to stay underwater? They don't take afternoon newspaper bench siestas, you know...

  • @ElectroZ0 yes, but the fish can stay like that for the entire winter.

  • @ElectroZ0 No you see them scatter at first. But being cold bloodied they won't move that much when it this cold

  • @ElectroZ0 Yes, they are trapped under the ice. Also, they would be trapped even without the ice ;)

  • @ElectroZ0 Yes! We must get them out before they drown!!!

  • @ElectroZ0

You had better be trolling because no one is that stupid.

  • @ElectroZ0 yes they are, and the cat is tryin to help them get untrapped.

  • @ElectroZ0

Ice floats over water, the fish are perfectly safe. However, if during winter the ice were to snap then the fish might freeze.

  • @ElectroZ0 yee those fishes are Kois resistant to ice :)

  • @ElectroZ0 Nah, they have a small escape door to the left if you look closeley

  • LOL so cute:P

  • lol

  • cool cat =D lol at 0:55 he has no idea what's happening XD

  • haha
