This is one of my favorite pieces of RGB music along with the danger theme and Ain't Afriad. I remember this piece never failed to bring me to the edge of my seat watching this show on ABC.
To mister0zero: You are correct! The animation for this (and practically all shows by DiC in the 80's) was farmed out to TMS (Tokyo Movie Shinsha). Inspector Gadget, The Littles, Ulysses 31, Heathcliff,Beverly Hills Teens, etc...
They also did great things w/o DiC. Mighty Orbots (check out the intro!!), Bionic Six (same here!), Tiny Toons, Animaniacs, Taz-mania, TMNT, Batman TAS, Little Nemo, and Cybersix and many more! A Very talented bunch!
Definitely my favorite track from the show (besides Egon's Dragon). Excellent work. But zack, if it bothers you that much just re-do it one last time. Screw hindsight! Don't be content with with regret.
There are actually two different versions of this song in the series -- one has an ending where it fades out (this is the one you've posted), and the second version of this song ends right after 1:16 on a single note.
You're an inspiration to cartoon music enthusiasts everywhere. I've thought of doing something like this but never seriously considered attempting it.
Hah! Speaking of Dennis the Menace music.. just watched a few episodes of that before I came across these. The music is definitely close..
The animation has the same feel as RGB did, too. I kept thinking maybe the animation studio overseas might be the same(I think a lot of it was done in Asia/Japan)? Could anyone confirm this?
It's the episode when Ray returns to ireland to reclaim his inheritance as the Duke of Dunkell. In this particular scene he has to ride his ten-speed through a horde of undead ancestors to remove the castle cornerstone and break the curse.
yeah! I listened to an episode of Dennis the Menace on here because a long while back someone said the shows had the same music. While I was kinda upset to discover it wasn't, there are definetly similarities and you can tell the same guy did it! Good stuff.
Well, actually, there is at least one instance of overlap. There's one Ghostbusters episode where, in one scene, they play a brief instrumental from "Dennis". Strange, but it's unmistakable.
I know both are by Levy, and both were made at DIC, but since ultimately the copyright holders for the two programs were different (Columbia Pictures vs. General Mills/The Program Exchange), I'm not sure how that came about (or why it was done in the first place).
It's funny. I dislike most of Shuki Levy's music, but I LOVE what he wrote for this show. (And also, for some reason, "Dennis the Menace". If life is anything, it's random. :)
It's funny the ending jumps from Ghost Fight at the OK Corral to Ghost Busted to I think Lights Camera Haunting, maybe Train To Oblivion to Revenge of Murray the Mantis to finish off with Bustman's Holiday.
There's some Bustman's Holiday in the middle along with a good bit of Bird of Kildarby.

Best memory featuring this music: The Ghostbusters vs. the Poltergeist Ghash
("Slimer, Come Home").

I always liked this song. It always felt like a good "boss" theme. It even has it's own built in "stage clear" theme at the end.

The BEST animation in television EVER was done by TMS. It's a shame most of this studio aged out. No one today can touch vintage TMS.

Know what episode by chance? By the way I'm kicking myself because I find great clips of this song in Scaring of the Green and Headless Motorcyclist.
