  • i think we just got rick rolled :D

  • jasus lads wouldn,t you love to play dem aussies in hurling .i d love to play them

  • A game for pussies

  • cant wait for this years series love watchin these games

  • theres not going to one this year

  • really owuldnt supprize me, first we belt them and beat them, second change the rules belt them beat them,, then they skip a year, then change EVERYTHING so they win but we still find ways to hit them hard, then they crack the shits the fkn looses

  • why is everyone commenting against each other. A clash of cultures, it is very sad!!! Why can't we just enjoy our respective codes and also enjoy these International games in peace...?

  • the gaelic games arent just a well known sport that stretch as far as america and they even have a club in china for fuck sake, it always symbolizes how the irish got back our culture, it was apart of our history espically during the time of the british Black and Tans(wankers) and Auxilleries(if you see any in hell tell them ireland is free) , its more apart of our culture

  • thing fuckin is, irish GAA players work 9 to 5, auzzy rules are paid like english premiership players, they take fuckin steroids for fuck sake, irish gaelic and hurling goes back thousands of years and was founded by the Gaelic league to promote irish culture and to combat the fukin brits, auzzy rules was a game stolen from the natives much like theyre land

  • Take fucking steroids what the fuck are you on about mate? Aussie players dont take steroids, they do something called working out.

Gaelic players are just skinny pencil necks.

"auzzy rules was a game stolen from the natives much like theyre land "

Fucking genius, white people made afl/aussie football not the indigenous aboriginals.

  • I agree with what your saying mate but Aussie rules was founded by the Irish community in Australia

  • @crinnigan07 No it wasn't.

  • wat stolen from the natives lol ahah dont comment on somthin u dont no u dumb cunt,,,, ahah i steal carnt belive u said natives would have our " natives " done fuk all

  • Who gives a shit... none of your childish bickering changes the fact they are both great sports. I'm an aussie who loves seeing the AFL players get the chance to play the Irish. So long as there arent any disgusting fights like the ones a few years ago - the international game should survive

  • lets hope that the afl can organise a hybrid game where the all australian team play the All Blacks at the MCG. Would be an awesome sight to see speed versus brutality. i would just love it!!!!

  • true true.....or the austarlian golf team v the all black cricket team.....accuracy v wit in a game to the death....would certainly be a fascinating encounter indeed...!! magical

  • Except for the scoring 6 points for a goal and 1 for an alternate score and the way the ball is passed by hand. Other than that there is nothing else, the size and shape of both ball and pitch are different, field positions and number of players in a team are different, AFL is most definately not a pure decendant of GAA.

  • actually its pronounced Australia you inbred backward fuck,You think we stole your game dumbass,Maybe but i do know 1 thing and that is that your women perfer ozzy cock.

  • ilovegrahamgeraghty are you gay because madehurst is obviously a boy a gay people pretend to call real men women for their own personal enjoyment

  • australians just have natural talent doesnt matter what sport were playing we will still win

  • similar population?

one American city has more people living in it than all of Australia!

  • Hehe, you realy mad yourself look stupid there =)

  • I'd like to point out medhurst that while the aussies are conditioned to play their sport from a young age the Irish are amatuer athletes that have to balance their sport with a job and their family life, they don't have all day to spend in the gym like the aussies.

  • ya cause the have a persoinal life unlike the players in da afl

  • does that medhurst guy/girl seriously think that afl is better than gaelic? he/she should go get his/her head checked!and irish people are not fuckin weak!

  • ya they should

  • u irish fuks are weak as piss and ur shit at every sport u play..nd afl is way better than GAY-LICK football

  • gay fl is a better name for yer poxy game!

  • to bad alf originated form gaelic football

and for ur infomation its pronounced Gaelic Football. They must only call it that in austrillia were they like cocks in ther mouths

  • ireland has the highest per capita gay population in the world (google it) So quit all the tough talk and accept your place as the queer country. Seconldy Melbourne FC is the oldest registered football club of any code in the world the game was created to keep cricketers fit during the winter and took influences from the aboriginal game of marngrook particularly those of the mark and tackle. so no kerryfan AFL was not spawned from GAA

  • um just to tell u united states has the highest per capita gay population in the world, and just to tell u there is alot of differant thereys on how aussie rules was invented and one is dat it it was a mix of gaelic football and rugby wen the irish and english moved to australia

    and dats what i heard

  • kerry learn to spell you retard. Melbourne FC is the oldest registered football club of any code in the world. Older than gaelic football. While it is disputed how much of a european influence was cast upon the game, It is just as silly for you to say that aussie rules is a single product of gaelic as it is for me to say that european games had no influence after all the founders were born in australia but, educated in england.

  • I copied and pasted an extract from a source discussing the origins of the game. 'The club did look at the Rugby School Rules but also those of Eton (Eton field game), Winchester (Winchester College football) and Harrow (Harrow football). What is clear is Wills intentions, when during this meeting he made the now famous declaration "No, we shall have a game of our own".[23

  • Some historians, particularly Martin Flanagan[24] postulate that Wills could have been inspired by marngrook, ball games played by the Aboriginal people in western Victoria.[25] Wills was raised in Victoria's western districts and is said to have been fluent in the local dialect and frequently played with local Aboriginal children on his father's property, Lexington, in outside of the town of Moyston.[26

Mate, I was just shit stirring about the gay thing.

  • ya i no about dat gay ting

but what i hear is dat afl was a desent of gaa and thats what i think and what date was this so called melbourne fc was created? cause i highly dout it that its older dan gaelic football

  • Melbourne FC and australian rules football was codified in 1856. It is widely accepted that this is the oldest REGISTERED football club in the world. Meaning that while forms of gaelic may have been played earlier just as soccer and rugby would have been australian rules was the first code in the world to have registered an official club with official rules set down. Tom willis the games creator grew up playing marngrook with the aboriginal people and there are definate similarities in the game

  • well if it was codified in 1856 it couldnt be there long but with gaelic football dates back to mid evil times so that prove gaelic is older than Melbourne fc

  • Sorry that was a typo on my part it was codified in 1858. Although it doesnt seem to matter according to your replys your obviously a really bright spark (<insert sarcastic tone). Do you even read my reply's through? FACT australian rules is the oldest codified football code in the world. As i said before, soccer, rugby and most likely gaelic were played in various forms before the origin of AFL, however NONE of these sports had formal clubs or rules set down before AFL...

  • u again grim0033.... haha! look at u callin kerryfan14 stupid hahahaha! kerryfan14 most likely doez not use tha internet te help him "win" arguementz and pretend that he iz smart! why dont ye try and have an arguement without the help of google or any other site- you'l get nowhere! ps- ye go on a bit dont ye.. i mean- look at tha commentz down this page now! there waz (before this one) 5/6 commentz from u in a row without anyone even givin a fcuk!! wise up!

  • says the bloke who cant even spell. Educated people use something called referencing. I suppose you pull your facts outta your arse.

  • Says the person who can't tell a male from a female ;) you contradicted yourself there- "cant even spell" and then you had the nerve to write "outta".. haha catch yourself on! i can spell but i don't see what the point is on this talking to people like you :) wise up! ps- if your educated you wouldn't need a "reference" from Google in nearly every comment! < that is called "pretending to be smart"

  • Making AFL the oldest formalised football code in the world. Are you taking the piss or are you really really stupid? I hope for your sake its the former rather than the latter.

  • grim0033 SPOT ON MATE!

btw all you irish! who cares if the information is from google its the truth.

AFL has been OFFICIAL for longer so get fucked we win!

  • bullshit, it was created in 1800s as a reaction to the spread of soccer! hurling is ancient. how can aussie rules be older when it incorperates so many elements from gaelic?

  • exactly thats why im sayin

but he says it was codified b4 gaelic mayb it was cause the gaa didnt exist until 1887 but gaelic footbal and hurling have been around since mid evil times

  • if you actually read what people write next time you might not have to waste your time typing responses. I said while forms of gaelic may have been played earlier, the AFL is the oldest registered football code in the world. Meaning that AFL was the first game to have a codified set of rules and regulations with an administering body. You irish seem to think afl is a bad GAA rip off, news flash the two major influences were rugby and marngrook.

  • Oh and about gaa going back to medievil times so gaa may have been played over a thousand years ago fantastic. The Aboriginal game Marngrook goes back about 30 000 years. This game was the major influence on AFL if you look at marngrook closely you will see there is a lot more resemblance to AFL than GAA has. How far these games go back is really irrelevant, because AFL is the oldest registered football code in the world. Im assuming it is that comment that gets your knickers in a twist.

  • well if it was created about 30,000 yrs ago thats see thats year 28,000 bc but if hurling is the oldest game in the world and it was only created in 1212bc so i dont think so and austrilia wasnt discoverd by other people (besides the indigenous people) was 1606 so how does that make sence

  • Because marngrook is an aboriginal game the aboriginals have been in australia for over 40 thousand years, thats how it makes sense. Australia wasnt colonised until 1788, while the dutch and indeed cook visited australia earlier no one stayed longer than overnight!

  • whats that i smell???..................BULLSHIT, you fucking retart, gaa is 100 times better then any aussie sport, the AFL is very scrappy, and unorganised

  • While the abos used a possum there was no scoring but there were the marks and tackles that can be seen in aussie rules. Wills was born in australia and educated in england, Having played rugby there, its obvious where the shape of the ball comes from. there is a famous statement made by wills when creating the game that he wanted a new game different from the current sports. It has never been proven that gaelic influenced AFL in anyway, yet, many irish insist that AFL is purely derived from GAA

  • Of course its not absurd to see the similarities in the game, however, to state simply out of patriotism or mere observation of the similarities in the games that AFL must be a GAA rip of is just ignorant. AFL likely has influences from gaelic given yes, but these have never been proven. The justifiable influences are Marngrook and Rugby. The shape and size of the field is from cricket, as the game was created as an off season cricket game. Really there isnt much similarity between AFL and GAA

  • if it has nothing to do with our game why do u aussies come to our country and take our players??

  • you cant answer that yourself? The boys come here because they can make a good living playing sport rather than in a nine to five job. If your going to get into me about irish players vs australians your barking up the wrong tree. While AFL and GAA have some similarities its just ignorant to sugest that AFL is modeled purely on GAA the influences were rugby and marngrook. Maybe you want to re read what i have written mate.

  • What do you mean their boxers arnt aussie?? Mundine is an aboriginal... are you saying that he isnt Australian??

  • the international rules is so much better when its in AUS, the croud gets so much more in to it

  • wait till da world cup den u will be finished nd ireland will kick aussies ass!!!!!!!!

  • wait til the rugby world cup! ireland will hammer you! should be funny to watch! oh yeah and remember in 2006 when ireland played australia and ter was a fight on the pitch! we killed you!!! ahahahha! so stop tryn to look all manly by sayn this is a mans sport when realy u just suck at the game so you go to breaking peoples necks! ahahahha world cup here we come!

  • That was the shittest post on utube

  • such a shame, inter rules was a pretty good game to watch, well the gaa and afl called it off i think.

  • all kangaroos should be banned from ireland

  • wel said we dont want those drug taking scumbags in Ireland

  • You wont coz i doubt ben cousins would be allowed to go.

  • We came, we played, we won. In our game its called intimidation. I bet you have it. I have no ill respect for the irish players, they tried to not take any shit, and i bet next year they will try not to take any shit again and beat us, that makes the game great. What is pathetic is your winging coach trying to call the game off. Is this a mans sport or a girls sport. Kennely is a awesome player.

  • oh look ..another Irish Hypocrite ...you lot are sooooo funny, yet so sore , in the losing department - now you really are sounding like the Pom's !

  • man this guys payout was a real burner (N)

  • australians are a pile of thugs!!! cant even play football ther pur shite the only fing ther good at is boxing! But thel nevr get the privlidge of playin in croke park again cos they aint worth it!!

  • Cant even play football??? you must be joking right. In the AFL thesedays if ou even lay a finger on your opposition you get crucified for it. And australia has won it for like the past 2 years.

    FUCK YOU

  • Irish are shit, Aus are no.1, we kicked your weak behinds.

  • Boo hoo talk about whinging Ireland 21 wussies 6 - oh its so windy! my tan, my tan

  • Australia should be ashamed for sending thugs to Ireland to play "football", Ireland should be ashamed for letting them into our sacred Croke Park.

  • our skilled players arent worth wasting on your shitty country you drunk faggot

  • Haha how funny, whinging about the australians fighting yet being proud that we got wot we derserved in the form on punches/headbuts etc etc... Oh no how dare we push some irish players :( Fking hypocrites get a life

  • i like they way this aussie shows the irish getting pushed around,he obviously wasnt there as me and 80000 others saw the aussies getting exactly what they deserved in the form of headbuts ,punches etc.if you gona come out fighting your gona get some back and this time around as far as fights go the aussies came off worse period.

  • Oh shut up, man. You moan and moan and moan, and it's people with attitudes like yours that are putting the future of international rules in question. Don't deny that you want to see it settled. Or do you want to see the Cormac McAnallen remain in Australia?

Yeah, it was a bit OTT, but just shut up about it. They get the message now - we Irish are bitter.

  • here if u wana see somethin like that again which 31 intercounty managers were against.go to maddison square gardens for as title fight total fuckin disgrace
