Also, what kind of clash of ideas will it be? (in Death note, L vs. Light also meant "Thou shalt not kill" vs. "All criminals have to die") Perhaps this time something like: "For Japan's survival, we have to do it at all costs" vs "Thou shalt not overpopulate" (BTW, rape is also a specified cause, so it might feature prominently)

BTW: Unless one writes down only one name, that person will become a complete slut, but not get knocked up or be capable of knocking someone else up

And the same way by which one can specify the cause of death, one could also specify the cause of "getting knocked up" (broken condom, forgot to take pills, didn't pull out etc.). There are, however, some things that i haven't cleared yet:

Name of the new note: perhaps "spice note"? (Nah, kinda' lame)

Will it only be this note or also a resurrection note (so that we can see Light or L in the end)?

Will there be any of the original Death note characters?

The overall plotline would be similar to the original death note with a lone character considering it as his "duty" to get people to "do it." Now, what would his/her motivations be? Well, considering the currently aging population of Japan and negative population growth rate, it should be easy to guess (In fact, there was a small chapter after Light's death, where another guy got the death note and started killing the elderly and suffering peole, i.e. Mass euthanasia)

The "create new life" kind of note works in a similar manner to the original death note except that one must know the names (to make matters easier faces may not be required) of two people (obviously, one male and one female) and if one writes down their names, they will have sex and she will get pregnant. Obviously, it wouldn't be as quick as the death note, since most people can't actually "do it" within five seconds of having their names written down, but they get the "impetus" to it

I'm not someone who usually comments a lot, but after Light uttered the "Life Note" idea, I just got a massive inspiration and I just had to share my ideas about it. Personally, I think if Ohba would actually want to write down something like that, he should pick out which kind of "Life note" it would be:

A "Resurrection" kind of note (most commonly mentioned among the comments here) or, perhaps

a "Create new life" kind of note

A kid finds Ryuk's Death Note and starts using it as a diary. He writes 3 kids who were bullying him at school that day, with their face in his mind, and the died. The more people he wrote in there that bullied him, the more people died. Then, eventually, Ryuk came to see how far he had gotten, and told him that there was a way to bring them back. He told him about the death eraser and how if he erased it from the Death Note with that particular eraser...

Then the kid decided he was going to, much like Light, become the god of the world he would create with the Death Note. The chapter on the back, the last thing Ryuk said was pretty much his catch phrase. "Humans are so... interesting. So, I'm not lying. I read it, and so have some others. And I'm pretty sure there's reviews of it online :3
