  • @cknerr Hello, how much would it cost to have you make a stock for my Thompson center encore? I have a really nice wood blank that I want to be made into a stock for my fathers birthday which is in July.

  • @7zobzombie

uhoh, at the moment I am swamped! It would be close to a year before I could even think about it. Price is in $2k+ range for just labor. I do it all by hand, no CNC or duplicator. Usually there is a fitting involved too (included in price). Time - 4 to 6 months depending on finish and how much checkering etc. will be done. If I can make more videos, you should try it.

  • @7zobzombie try it yourself indeed, i made my own walnut gunstock, it came out great

  • @cknerr not to be a know it all, but the first square in the second video you shown is a framing square not a rafter square. the rafter square is much smaller and it trianular shaped with angle lines and degree markings on it. thanks

  • thank you i recently start school to be a gun smith this was very helpful

  • Excellent ! !

I learnt a lot from just this first vid , am going to watch the rest now too ..

Only thing is the clicks and tapping going on behind the camera is a bit distracting from what you are saying , but hey - - Great vid.. .!

  • Excellent! I am looking forward to your other videos.
