The reason her vocals was less than perfect is kinda dumb.

She was REALY nervious and backstage there was chocolate and sweets. So I think 10 minutes before going on stage she ate a few toffe sweets with chocolate centres, not knows that chocolate would have caused her vocal chords to become all sticky and thus vibrate less. making her voice sound strained..

but by the end her vocal was fine, just the start. If she would have won the reprise would have been PERFECT!!

Back then Eurovision didn't have the sophisticated music like it has now. It was all schlager, Alsou was the odd one out, the only modern song that year. She was the song that stood out of the normal. Had she taken part in say 2004 to current, she would've won. But back then, Eurovision was still stuck in the old era.
