  • First song in a long time to legitimately give me goose bumps.

  • Glory to the Red Army and Soviet Union!!! And those ones who think that USA and UK did something great in WW2 they must be joking... 90% of entire German army was on eastern front and by the time of Normandy landings USSR was already in Poland knocking on Germany's doors... USSR could have won it itself with no problem. USA used that war to make money and UK almost declared bankruptcy. And as for "gifts" for Soviet Union: Sherman tanks were mostly melted and steel was used to make T34s.

  • Lire, un CE SUJET, l'excellente livre du Professeur Daniel Yergin: La paix saccagée!

  • What was the song they played in the battle of Stalingrad? I heard they only found 1 plate and player, and played i t all the time

  • where did the soviet food and ammo came from and also there where some american tanks that got send to the soviets.

  • @cbsgus321 Actualy the soviets bought ammo and everything with gold. So its just normal trading. Nothing is free in this god damn world :P

  • Comment removed

  • @Gordonfreekill 90% of Luftwaffe destroyed over the London? Great joke. And do you know when the V1 was used. Not earlier than in 1944, at that time soviets already stood in Poland, so thats completely irrelevant. Anything else?

  • @Kalinin1917 3 months later, I read my own words and think "Was der fick?" Very sorry for whatever that was. Though I do still think the Soviet товариш would have had a much harder time defeating mein Deutsh Kameraden, if it were not for my Canadian comrades (Britian, America, and pretty much everyone else included). Though yes, the Soviet Union could have won on its own. Yes its soldiers are brave and strong. But think about it. Soviet losses>German losses, per battle anyway. Entshudegung.

  • @Kalinin1917 Oh and yes, I am of German decent, NO I am not a supporter of Hitler, Yes I do indeed live in Canada, I am in fact a Canadian soldier, I am also Communist, and please please, though I do wish to speak to you (you seem like a very patriotic and knowledgeable person!) on the subject of ^^^ that, I do not want to hear MY motherland or fatherland, bashed. Danke schon und eine gutes tag haben :)

  • @Gordonfreekill The Luftwaffen was never strong enough to pose an existential threat to any of the major powers. Where the Germans was strong was on the ground, and on the ground, they were convincingly defeated by the Russians.

  • getting in mood for red orchestra 2:F

  • Thats all Bullshit you saying the Wehrmacht had ten times better technology then the Red Army or the US military.Without american and british Ammo and Food supplies the CCCP wouldnt last long and without the Allies invading France the germans would had anough reinforcments to fight the russian.I didnt said the germans would conquer russia the sist would pushed them back to their homeland

  • actually it is not soviet song/ this is russian song

  • I can't found Vladimir Poetin in this movie..he was there also:

    to be practicing judo

  • Stalingrad - Death of Nazi fascism

And the final resting place for heroes of Stalingrad and legendary sniper Vasily Grigorevich Zaytsev (March 23, 1915 – December 15, 1991) RIP

  • September 17, 1939 - unification of Russian Land. Glory to Stalin!

  • 17 września 1939 roku - agresja sowiecka na Polskę

17 сентября 1939 - советской агрессии на Польшу

September 17, 1939 - Soviet aggression on Poland

  • without America CCCP would be destroyed by the Germans without CCCP America wouldnt won against Japan or the 3rd Reich

  • @cbsgus321 Not true.

  • @Kalinin1917 That's true. At period of WW2 USA was a humble country. Without strong military and navy. That is why USA government directs (well known Hollywood) movies about Vietnam (where USA also had no victory) only ))) No point to direct movies about participation of USA in WW2 because there is no participation. Roosevelt and Churchill were afraid of might of Red Army that is why they decided to start 2nd front, they were afraid of Stalin and of Communism to even greater extant.

  • @Kalinin1917 In Europe yes. but In Japan its a different story. yeah USSR was involved but it was a late response the war is almost over in Japan. Germany was the center especially RUSSIA, BRITAIN and the AMERICAS. But America did a great move to send help to Europe first.

  • @DnRaidenIV before WW2 started, Japan invaded USSR. they were kicked out and a peace treaty was signed.

around the end of the Third Reich a treaty was signed between UK, US and USSR wich stated a date on wich the USSR should declare war on Japan once again.

and then US dropped atomic bombs on Japan before the USSR declared war on Japan again(i assume to make sure the USSR wouldn't make the US look bad by pwning Japan..)

  • @Rhonion The US used atomic bombs which is completely cowardly, just out of frustration at the realization Japan wasn't willing to submit to total surrender. More than 20 million Russians died in WWII on the eastern front alone... how many Americans were killed in Washington or New York?

  • @cbsgus321 USSR can beat germany alone if there is no interruption

  • @cbsgus321 Note: Im not russian, or american, but I have a advice for you, read history, russia, impossible to rule or conquer, if you try, you re just another dumbass to fall into what I call, "the russian trap".

  • @SniperSX

Sun tzu, art of war: you do NOT march on Moscow, you do not fight land battles with China.

  • @SniperSX The Mongols invaded Russia successfully. Russia still has a lot of problems due to bad political habits they picked up from the Mongols.

That said, the Finns were the most successful: instead of invading, they introduced vodka, which is a Finnish word, not a Russian one. Did more damage to Russia with that than the Nazis ever did.

  • @SpectatorAlius yes, but the mongols had an advantage, they are used to the extreme cold, witch most countries are not (mine included), about the vodka, well, that almost worked. (Almost). Note: I'm not saying that russians are indestructuble, i'm only saying that it is a pain in the ass to conquer russia and, most of the time, wars are dumb, someday with a stupid war we end up fuck... up the world for good...

  • @SpectatorAlius Wasnt the first vodka introduced in 860 by the arabian doctor Pares for medical uses? I dont think its finnish. :D

  • @1N73RC3P7OR Islam forbids drugs of all kinds... even Caffeine. In fact, Russia originally converted to Orthodoxy in part because Islam would forbid Vodka and Russia and its vodka are inseparable.

  • @MrDanChandler wodca in 8th century?? you are idiot

  • @trupoed11 Before calling others "idiot," spell correctly.

  • @cbsgus321

Because of that tribal attitude that and the next war will be fought...

  • @cbsgus321 Who the fuck told you that kind of bullshit?

  • @cbsgus321 Are you nuts? Red Army just defeat 80% of Nazi Wermacht. When USA bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan's imperator was wondering to surrender.

  • @cor1910cor1910 don't forget that the Red Army had invaded the Japanese Controlled areas of China as well.

  • @cbsgus321 US, UK, French, Canadian, Polish troops fought between 5% and 10% of the German forces. We fought against 95% to 90% of the German forces. These numbers come courtesy of German records captured by the British at the end of the War. Anyone who believes that you Americans saved us are truly stupid. Your forces invaded France AFTER we had pushed the Germans out of the Soviet Union and back from where they came from. If you had invaded France in 1942 then you could say that you saved us.

  • @cbsgus321 stalingrad happened before d-day. without america in ww2= soviet europe and if japan attaked the ussr, asia would be under communism too

  • we know because conflict has already proven so with manchuko and mongolia

  • @cbsgus321

1st thing, do not say thinks you can not verify > see academic history course.

  • @cbsgus321 That's not true. The Americans intervened too late in the war to make a difference to the German/Russian War. Over 85% of German Divisions during the war were destroyed by the Russians. Even when the Americans and British landed in the Western Front, the Germans sent all their best troops to the East to fight against the USSR, but they still lost. In short, even without the USA, the USSR would have won the war.

  • @cbsgus321 Russia ended the war, even the British and French did more in WWII than the Americans.

  • I like the vid but it would have been better to over past stalins ugly moustached face with Zukove's

  • Although I am from America, I believe that Russia was the true victor over the Nazis is WWII. Without them, I probably wouldn't be here today enjoying this beautiful song or even posting this comment. Спасибо, мои российские братья. долгосрочной службы Россия!

  • in Soviet Russia buildings throw you out, you don't throw yourself out the building!

  • From 6'50 is Soviet Anthem. But this anthem is from 1944. When the battle of Stalingrad in 1943, this anthem was not adopped. The Internationale in Russian was anthem of Soviet Union at that time. Isnt it?

  • Thank you, from the United States to our Russian friends, for your sacrifice! My country may have forgotten you, but I never will!

  • @Level1Orc thank you amerikan for not hating russians like me we are not evil as you think if we are we could have invaded you right after ww2 and declare ww3 but we did not because we respected you amerikan friends a comment from Russia

Thank you and greetings to the heroic Soviet people. Ralf

  • what's the name of the movie??? i wanna watch it!

  • I like the music and the movie. :)

  • Such good scenes for such an old film - Very good thanks for the post.

  • i have seen this movie just last week... It was impressive, but can one believe it was really like this? I think russian have always made their history look better, no matter how great it really was...

  • more soliders were lost by the soviets in the battle of stalingrad than by all the allies combined over the entire course of the war. god bless the soviet union thank you for your sacrifice so i can live free from nazi oppression.

  • Кто может подсказать, что это за фильм?

  • @mizukami999 "Stalingrad battle" (1949) by V. Petrov.

  • @Kalinin1917 Thank you!

  • ☭☭☭☭☭

  • Sounds like the tune to 'Waltzing Matilda' in parts.

  • Что это за фильм? Подскажите, пожалуйста.

  • stay of with your dirty hands of Russia!

    that would i say

    thumb up when u too

  • thanks Soviet Union and thanks comrade Stalin, for freeing us all from nazi-fascism! Soviet Union, its people, and Stalin will always remain in our hearts. We will always remember, and that example, as a lighthouse of hope, will sooner or later turn out useful AGAIN. Ciao from Rome, Alberto

  • 5:07.. He say's what they say in Stalker :3...

  • "I doubt that you would find anyone who havent heard about Stalingrad battle."

Justin Beiber hasn't heard of Germany.

  • Thanks for uploading. I've got a bunch of these things on my drive now, set to play in Victoria 2 when the time is right.

God, it takes forever building train tracks through Russia...

  • Когда глупый всегда глупо

  • большое видео я помню один из моих праотца, кто воевал под Сталинградом, там давно живут в наших мужественных советских солдат, которые воевали там я приветствую вас К. К. Рокоссовский Константин!!!!!!!!!!

  • What movie is this? The single long shot of combat inside Pavlov's house through holes blown in the walls is a really cool idea. Nowadays action sequences are done with constant cuts, and jerky camera, here the camera is really smooth but the scene itself is doing the cutting.

  • Excellent segment from this movie I have never watched before.

There is another excellent Soviet film about the fall of berlin called "The Fall of Berlin" produced by MOSFILM with music score written by Shostakovich which first recording was made by Adriano at 1996.

    regards

  • the nine people who disliked this are facist bastards

  • Looks like great movie! But there is one mistake. The soldiers sing Hymn of the Soviet Union that was put to use in 1944.

  • @REDSTORM1917 Great job! Exactly, but it sounds great nontheless :-)

  • Comment removed

  • @Kalinin1917 Thank you! Yes it sounds great. Best anthem in the world!

  • @REDSTORM1917

Right! The State Anthem of the Soviet Union (Russian Гимн Советского Союза) was on 1 January 1944 introduced by Josef Stalin, successor of the hitherto used as the anthem International. The text was written by Sergei Mikhalkov and El-Registan Gabo, music by Alexander Alexandrov.

    .

  • @REDSTORM1917 its 1943

  • @Archraveful Yeah. But the Hymn they are singing in the video was realy put to use in 1944.

  • Guess this is from the movie "Battle of stalingrad" ?

I really like that movie also like "освобождение".

  • @GDRArmist Exactly. Both Stalingrad battle and The Liberation are great.

  • @Kalinin1917

Didnt know why... but i like this old movies. and russian books to

In the moment i read Nikolai Kirillowitsch Popjel

"In schwerer Zeit" and "Panzer greifen an"

in english maybe "in hard times", Tanks attack"

  • Is this Oceania, or the Soviet Union?

  • Russians kill 9 out of every 10 Germans. Other Allies split 1 between themselves haha

  • WOW I'm absolutely mazmarized by this masterpiece. As I have read below me I hope to get a copy for myself. Glory to Soviet soldiers who said NO to tyranny and destroyed the enemy in its lair. I proudly salute these brave men!

  • usa only lost 300.000 man nothing compared agianst 15million soviet soldiers and 7-9 million civilian deads

  • I love my Mother Russia, land of my ancestors, land of the Great Soviet Patriots. Hail Socialism!

  • excellent!! but to all comrades 30 miners were murdered in west virginia a week ago by the fasist owner Blankenship--plenty of videos to comment on Comrade Stalin would demand no less!!

  • Thanks. My late mother used to correspond to a woman from (Stalingrad) Volgagrad who was a little girl at the time. She had things from the city in her China cabinet. Not everyone forgets these brave men, but too many do....

  • Dear Kalinin, In case you do not have the full length Petrov (1949) epic, it is available as a "Region 0" (world-wide play) through "International Historical Films" for 35 USD. It is very cheap at this price for such a work of art. This is much less than some comments below might indicate. My copy is in Texas, but will check it's Europe play-ability when back in the UK.

    Bruce

  • @DunelmPalynolog My dear friend, I have a whole film.

  • Fascism has resurged. But it does not hail from Berlin, but rather, from Washington. Yes, the new Nazis are the AmeriKKKan Empire and may Mother Russia stand at the forefront should the Fascists arrogantly stand against the free peoples of the world.

  • Actually, while I'm at it, what is the name of the film this is taken from as well?

  • @the2ndgenesis The film is called Stalingrad battle (1949) - directed by V. Petrov. And the name of this song is exactly "The song about Stalingrad".

  • What is the actual name of the song in Russian?

    Thanks for the help!

  • Fantastic Video-

    A truly epic battle.

  • This was a very very VERY good video.

I reconised the house of Pavlov so good from the game Call of Duty. That was so wierd. Comrade, you are a very good video maker. URA!!!!!!!

  • Thank you, Im glad you like it.

  • Fact:Russians were the ones that defeated GERMANS in WW2 not the BRITISH or AMERICANS, the Russian sacrificed are sadly forgotten, people usually think that USA did all the work but it was the RUSSIANS we defeated Hitler in Europe.

  • @Daveidxd i disagree, although russians did lose a lot of soldiers defending their sides, the allies together invaded towards german from france, you guys were pretty much owned by the axis and cannot move forward.

  • @Tdwjoker5 LoL mate, you cant be serious, and if you are, then you know absolutely nothing about WW2. When "you guys" invaded France, in 1944, Soviets by themselfs liberated all teritories of the USSR occupied by Germany. I would also suggest that you should find a note of W. Churchill to Stalin, about situation in Ardens (in winter 1944), when he asked for a soviet intervention (offensive), otherwise the anglo-american armies would have faced a terrible crisis.

  • @Kalinin1917 w/e, but thx for the russian lifes that died so we americans didnt have to suffer much casualties haha

  • @Tdwjoker5 Your casualties were high enough despite the fact that you faced only remnants of german division which were destroyed on the eastern front. You americans knew really nothing about the warfare. So the joke is on you, kid.

  • @Kalinin1917 When comparing Red Army to the German, the germans are better, that's why u have over 8million military's death. Your "so many" deaths helps reduce our casualties, but we don't need to thank you for it except we can laugh about it.

  • @Tdwjoker5 Laughing at the deaths? You are an idiot.

  • @Tdwjoker5 The world would be a far better place without total wankers like you !!

  • @Kalinin1917 American casualties were high in World War II due to the war in the pacific. Not only were Americans facing the "remnants of German divisions," but the Americans were also fighting a war with the Empire of Japan who would fight to the very last man.

  • @NinjaDoctor9 Yes, Im aware of that fact. But my opinion about the role of the soivets is different. The allied help was/is really appreciated, but as I have said many times over, it covered just 10% of the soviet need (G. Roberts - Stalin's war,2009). The second front was fine, sure, it was a great morale boost, but despite this fact, Hitler still shifted his division to the east, no matter where they were place originaly. Even when your armies were crossing the Rhine, he pulled some divison

  • @Kalinin1917 I definitely won't disagree with that. Hitler wanted to protect Berlin more than anything which he knew the Soviet Union was heading for. Now don't get me wrong, I greatly respect the Red Army and the sacrifices they made to defeat Nazi Germany.

However, I just find it kind of annoying how many people think of the US army during WWII as worthless. The US were fighting all over the place: the Pacific, North Africa (Operation Torch), Italy, and Europe.

  • @NinjaDoctor9 In that case, we understand each-other. Im the last persone, who would say that the allied forces did nothing, or nearly nothing to defeat nazi germany. But we both are fighting with two extremist points of view - 1. that American (allied) involvment in WW2 was worthless and 2. (this one is more common) that the Americans won WW2 by themselfs, knowing absolutely nothing about the eastern front. I hope that we are clear now :-)

  • @Kalinin1917 We are very clear, good sir! America definitely did not win WWII by themselves. It was a team effort! All of the Allies pitched in, including some of the lesser known armies like Canada and Australia for instance.

Great video by the way, the Battle of Stalingrad was definitely the most important battle on the Eastern Front and was one of the big turning points of the war! I can't stop laughing when they capture von Paulus though haha, he just looks so diabolical haha.

  • @NinjaDoctor9 Great, thats what I was trying to point out in my videos, the cooperation of allied nations, despite the difference in the type of government. I have also said many times, that it was really shameful that the war-time cooperation didnt last longer, through the peace time.

And thank you for your words.

  • @NinjaDoctor9 Yeah, credit for the Canadians too, they Liberated Holland!

  • @NinjaDoctor9 from there and moved them to the east.

  • @Kalinin1917 I'm not saying Americans weren't killed in the war against Germany, the invasion of Normandy is an example of a crucial battle where many Americans lost their lives. It's just long before and after V-E Day, the United States was still fighting Japan where multiple costly battles took place including Iwo Jima and Okinawa.

  • @NinjaDoctor9 The only time the Americans had any sort of challenge against the Germans was in the Battle of the Bulge, but the Wehrmacht were at their most desperate

  • @edinscot56789 I agree. That Ardennes forest was truly a difficult place to be fighting, especially against a desperate Germany. I'd have to add though that the beach head invasion of Normandy was also a difficult challenge for the Americans against the Germans. Once they got inland though, I think it became much easier. I won't delve too deep into it though since my area of expertise is more in the North Africa campaign haha.

  • @Kalinin1917 Think of what would have happened to Russia had Germany not had to worry about a "Second Front".

  • @wwbuff14183945 Germany didnt warry about second front until 1944. And look what did Soviets managed to do from 1941-1944.

  • @Daveidxd Russians did have a pivotal role to play during World War II, but I believe that if Russians were left on their own without the aid of the US or Great Britain, they would have been overwhelmed. The Western front that the Americans/Britain created greatly helped the Soviet Union because then Hitler had to worry about a second front rather than just concentrating in the East.

  • @Daveidxd, We Were To Busy Slaughtering The Japanese.

  • @lowlane56 If it's true you're from Sicily, and you mean "we" as in Italians- I don't think so. If you mean "we" as in the US, remember that Britain (they were fighting the Germans AND Japanese), Australia, New Zealand, and China (nationalists and Communists) were as well, to name a few.

  • @Daveidxd the russian sacrifice was forgotten mostly because right after peace had been achieved in Europe russia decided to piss people off again by expanding the USSR. Some would say they deserved something for there losses, others would say "we finally had peace in europe look what youve done!"

  • @lewismurray1

Its interesting how when British Empire expanded itself across the 2/3 of the planet, no moan was heard. When US Empire tied in debt-slavery whole Western Europe with Marshall's plan, no voice was heard to criticize it. But when Soviets (not Russians, kid) liberated countries, not even subjugating them, but allowing them to freely exist and choose their own destines, only tying them with Free economical aid, they are suddenly ones "pissing people off"...

  • @lewismurray1

Use that cabbage that you call brain and think. If they really subjugated and expanded as an empire, you wouldn't even have fascist Hungarian uprising in 1956, nor many before in DDR...etc

But thankfully Soviet Union was nothing close to the totalitarianism that West was... And trough its action trough NATO, they really managed to brake loose democratic society. Now look at those countries, colony after colony!

How is that pissing people off?..

Go home kid, this too much for you.

  • @Daveidxd Sorry but where do you get Americans think they won the war alone? Russian veterans get Victory day every year - their own holiday,American WWII veterans get nothing, modern Generation does not care about our vets and do not remember them,I see WWII vets every day here and not 1 person says thank you to them, never

  • @Daveidxd

The first Americans landed in Normandy, as a victory for the Russians became clear. Russia bore the brunt of the war against Hitler! When the Americans shouted for help in the Ardennes, Russia opened the Vistula-Oder operation ahead of schedule to relieve the Americans. In everlasting memory of the brave soldiers of the Soviet army.

  • @Daveidxd Russians, ukrainians, byelorrussians, kasakhs, armenians, georgians, etc. The Red Army and the USSR wasn't composed only of russians. But the point still stands. Soviets were the ones to destroy nazism.

  • @Daveidxd This is not truth, we held the line one year, and We were Alone our sacrifice like the American sacrifice were too important to got freedom to all Western Europe. Did you never read the Stalin's discourse

"Comrades the USSR is interested that the War begins between Germany and the British-French capitalist bloc" in this discourse he proposes a long war between those people, same he knowing that he'd avoid many deaths. Only to increase his influence and it improves his army.

  • @Daveidxd well not completly the russians indeed saved europe from nazism and holded off the western cappie thieves away, but brittain helded bravely against the nazi blasphemers with little equiptment. sometimes from america. but america did nothing there were corrupt probebly.

  • just one word: PERFECT!!!

you did it great, this video make me cry at the end.

Thanks Russia, for all those mens who gave their lives for the freedom.

    congrats 4 Latin America

  • Good work, really nice video!

  • Lovely video mate. Wet,my eyes are and i feel proud. Thank you.

  • Thank you, your words mean a lot to me.

  • and hitler sent millions of his people to capture this city. its a place of a great battle between ideoligies, and if communism did not work it would have been crushed then.

terrible losses on both sides, the situation was desperate because of need. or would you just surrender to the nazi pigs who shot your father because he could have been a jew or jipsy?

  • well guess what if the russians loose at Stalingrad germans would get the oil in the Kaukazus and then soviets loose almost 70 % of their fuel .. that means no production . = Defeat and germans win the war .. Would that be better?

  • their main resource was HUMANS, so he was like fuck it just try to kill them

  • Its not that communism is bad its how the leaders use there powers my friend.

I the end we all will be part of it.

  • Nicely done. Sadly, not only will you find people who haven't "heard" of Stalingrad, you will find people who haven't heard of Stalin. Thank you for the reminders.

  • damn this was good. nice work

  • thank you.

  • What is the name of the movie?? is posible find online?¿¿??

  • LONG LIFE CCCP !

  • Good video. But there is an error at 3:56. It's not Pavlov's house. These are mill ruins(Gergardt's Mill). Restored Pavlov's house opposite to it.

  • @Korsakov. It's the old Soviet anthem that they have simply reinstated. Don't know if they have done anything with the lyrics....

  • They did. They obviously took out all references to a "union of republics," Lenin, all socialist jargon. It sounds pretty much the same to me, but I don't speak Russian.

  • I checked it again, and I am wrong. The last time before this I heard the old Soviet one was in the 60s.

  • Isn't that the anthem of the Russian Federation, the new one, at the end?

Anyway, good song. I need to watch the movie if I can find it anywhere.

  • Its not possible, that part is original from the film. Apart from the subtitles I havent done anything with it.

  • Nothing is impossible. The tunes are very similar to the Russian Anthem. I've compared the end song to the Russian Anthem and found a good match. I've even sang it this tune.

I'm not saying you did anything to the film. I, however believe this end song was a marching song that later inspired the Russian Anthem.

  • Yakov Pavlov from 13th Guard Division Aleksandra Rodimceva-Eternal Glory

  • Yakov Pavlov, not only a hero of the soviet union but a hero to the world..what he done very inspiring stuff :)

  • Being a German, I can honestly and grateful say: Thank you, USSR, thank you, Comrade Stalin, for liberating not only my county but the whole world from fascism!
