I've been dabbling in the wonders of belly dance for three years now, and sadly I haven't been able to find a teacher. I'm nowhere near having your grace and beauty and I'm quite larger than you. But I don't mind that. Belly dance has taught me that I don't need to be super thin to look gorgeous. Thanks so much for post! You're fantastic!

I had to learn figure 8's by standing against a wall to keep my shoulders and upper body from moving, and it was a revelation to me! althought i felt i should apologize to the wall for molesting it! lmao. did you make your outfit, I love it!
Hi, Nika. This is just magnificent vid. Inspired me a lot. Your dance is really beautiful, it seems you found yourself in this dance. It is just pleasure to watch the bellydancer, that found herself in dance and music. And if somebody told you that you are fat, them must be a jerk, because I and my teacher (and more and more others) thinks that bellydancer should have some belly, not only bones to shake. You are as beautiful as your dance. Keep dancing, please. More dancers as you are needed.
You are NOT fat, honey. You look absolutely beautiful and you're a great dancer. Just ignore those asses trying to put you down. By the way, what is the artist and song name to the music you are playing in this video? I am learning how to bellydance and would love to dance to this.

I try to post everything I know about who I am dancing too at the end of my vids. Keep tuned... my musicians and I will be putting out some songs and hopefully a cd in the next month... it will be ameature(sp) but good!!!!!!!!!! Hugz, Nika
Thanks Evy! Just the snake arm movements alone high toned up my arms. Ariellah's yoga/belly dance video is really good too! I learned some different movements from her DVD

Gorgeous dancing....& in response to your "fat belly dancer" comment it never occured to me that you were "fat" until you mentioned it, then I noticed your are a tiny bit plump maybe but very beautiful & inspiring. Wish I lived closer to you I'd be taking classes. I live in Canada!!!!
