ive never tried sheep cheese, but i'd love to as i'm a cheese fan :) i'm so happy to see that her sheep have their natural tails still in tact as well <3 thank you for sharing this video!
I loved this video! I want to make cheese too, although I think I'm more interested in goat cheese. Lady, I really like your outlook. And I loved, "C'mon sheep, c'mon sheep!" at the beginning. Ha, they looked so happy when they were eating. I wonder if they would eat their own cheese?
The best value for milk is to sell it as milk. Only if the milk can't be sold it should be used to produce other products.Besides there were too many women standing among the sheep. People should not be standing among the sheep. They should be free to walk in to the milking area at the milking time. After they have been milked the doors should be opened for them to move out. After a fresh batch has moved in the doors should be closed and the machines should be applied to the Teats.
Very lazy sheep owners. The sheep need to be sheered. That is they had a lot of wool on them. The wool would keep the sheep very hot and reduce their milk yield. The animals need to stay ccol to be able to produce milk. Besides the sheep will produce hair if they are covered with wool.
I have owned a sheep shearing business and sheared untold thousands. These sheep have been sheared, and if you didn't notice they have also been tagged. I don't think you know much about sheep.
Sheep bred for high milk yields can be milked even if you allow them to nurse their lambs.
Mine (Awassi) are 12 hours (day) with their lambs and 12 yours (late evening, night and morning) without them. We milk them, but I don't care about possible maximum yields (since I primariliy have them for wool and meat and only drink the milk because I like it and my familiy too).
yes, jumping can be scary, but many of us have faced those cliffs!! and because Kathy jumped, the rest of us can share in tasting some wonderful cheese.
Jumping off a cliff, loriziell, generally means taking a risk. Some people consider taking risks a good challenge, others don't like to at all! And, of course, there are those in the middle too. Hope this helps you understand =)
Yeah we milk our goats twice a day too. It's really remarlablle to produce your own food products at home. We depend on our girls as much as they depend on us.
It would be cool to see a video on the actual process of making your cheese. I was thinking it was oil you were rubbing on the cheese but I don't know and it would be interesting to learn about.
Elle was adding cocoa and olive oil to the 'round', after it has aged a bit. The time I spent with them was not a day for making cheese. I did another story on goat's milk cheese where you can see more of the cheese making process, but it's not a 'how to'. Artisan Cheese on the Farm: youtube[dot]com/watch?v=8tClKqs4Mfg
so why do other animals adopt and adapt to new mothers milk which can provide any ANIMAL, including us, the supplements and requirements of nutrition we need? We were not able to man-make things as YOU might be used to- I assure you it's a million times more unlikely to gain any type of health benefit from not consuming milk in ones lifetime- and unless you suggest breastfeeding a child is perverted labor also in which case you're just contradicting AND harming yourself
Are you comparing an animal chosing to be a surrogate mother to humans enslaving animals, forcing them into pregnancy, taking away and killing their children, and stealing the breastmilk for themselves???
And how can you compare a mother feeding her child to someone forcing another into pregnancy & killing her baby in order to exploit her for her milk?
I wasnt RAPED.
I wasnt IMPRISONED.
I did not have my child RIPPED FROM ME so that someone else could STEAL the milk.
oh yeah because clearly this private farm is killing the babies and stealing the mothers. SURE.

plus animals dont get raped by each other
are you mad?!
and believe me, what ever bad people do to animals it can and HAS happened to people. Try making a change for your own messed up kind before assuming what other kinds of animals WANT XD
Even if they don't kill the babies, they still exploit and enslave and steal from sentient beings. Non-humans are not made for humans anymore than blacks are made for whites or women are made for men. Sentient beings are NOT COMMODITIES. They are not property to use for your own personal benefit.
Don't tell me not to comment when you are defending the slavery and exploitation of innocent beings who I happen to care about.
Mothers are not milk machines for the pleasures of others!
Cow's do not CHOOSE to have a human ram his hand up her vagina and stuff bull sperm into it. Cow's do not CHOOSE to love and bond with their babies for 24 hours then have them ripped away so they can cry for weeks in the spot the child was last seen. Cow's do not CHOOSE for their babies to live in dark boxes than murdered for veal. Cow's do not CHOOSE to produce breastmilk for an adult of a different species to take it from them.
Please for their sake, wean yourself onto solid food.
:) people do use each other to breastfeed their own children if they can't so how is it ANY different than people using animals who can supply us milk all of the time for the same important reason? People are the only animals which NEED calcium and all of the goodness from milk throughout life-- WOMEN more than men- and a deficiency of this can cause serious problems for development and aging. Early humans drank milk, its in human nature. Anyway...
People rape and enslave eachother to sell off their kids in order to steal the milk? Seriously? Can you tell me where the heck something like this is allowed to happen?
WHAT?? ALL animals need calcium! We all have bones!
Calcium is found in many foods: spring greens, kale, broccoli, parsley, soymilk, white flour products, tofu, oranges, tahini, figs, black molasses, collards, mustard greens, black beans, Swiss chard, and fortified juices.
Please do some research! You can get calcium in FOOD, not just breastmilk!
The best thing about plant-based calcium is it's easily absorbed. Animal products contain animal protein, which encourages calcium to be passed through the urine (look it up).
Animal milk is now considered one of the most ineffective ways of obtaining calcium.
Places that consume the most animal milk have the highest rates of osteoporosis (look it up).

So when a human puts his arm up an animals vagina to place sperm in it (artificial insemination) the animals ask for it first??
So why does the dairy industry use restraining apparatus (the industry sometimes refers to them as "rape racks") to inseminate them?
