  • Thanks for saying what I have been saying for a while, that BO neded to "out-hawk" his opponents, now that he's president let's see if he'll followup on his threat if he not too much of a pussy.

  • Obama is a naive twit, he uses very poor judgment, would be willing to meet with Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez and Amadinijad (Iran Pres) also goes to a church for 20 years that has a pastor (Rev. Wright) who goes to enemy country Libya with Louis Farrakhan. Obama is a total moron and dangerous for America.

  • @Srhandel He got OBL. How you feel?

  • Calling it "targeting" doesn't mean there won't be Pakistan casualties. The most important point though, is made by Biden at the end of this video. Now that he's told Pakistan that he will take military actions in their country, if they give him actionable intelligence, and they don't act according to his wishes, why would they give him that intelligence? He's crippled his ability to get things done in that region with one stupid remark.

  • I've read about the Waziristan war. Al-Qaeda gangsters are terrorizing the tribesman. The Taliban is making a comeback. The US has been good about staying on the Afghan side of the border. BUT if we get intelligence that one of the most wanted men in the world is hiding out in some cave/camp, wouldn't we want to do SOMETHING?

  • this is a case of selective hearing. obama is not talking about walking our troops into Islamabad. Rather he has advocated targeting guerrillas hiding in the vast expanse of Northern Pakistan/Waziristan/Talibanistan whatever you want to call it.

  • U.S. soldiers have joined Pakistani troops on raids in the tribal border regions, and the FBI is contributing information and agents to the pursuit of al-Qaeda holdouts.

  • He has decided to monitor hate sermons from mosques; require that all madrassas be registered and foreign students expelled; clamp down on inflammatory material; and prohibit militant groups from collecting funds. Pakistan also responded to the bombing by detaining more than 200 suspected Islamist militants.

  • After the July 2005 London bombings, in which the bombers were of Pakistani decent—and at least one of the suspects visited a Pakistani madrassa—Musharaff outlined a new approach for cracking down on extremism.

  • • Musharraf says Pakistani troops had their best chance of capturing bin Laden from May-July 2004, after the army launched an offensive along the border with Afghanistan. But he says the trail has now gone cold.

  • According to the State Department's 2004 Country Report, "Pakistan continues to pursue al-Qaeda and its allies aggressively through counterterrorist police measures and large-scale military operations." Osama bin Laden is widely believed to be hiding in the remote tribal region along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border with his deputy, Ayman al-Zawahiri.

  • Pakistan has also worked with the FBI to capture suspected al-Qaeda and Taliban fugitives who fled into northern Pakistan—including al-Qaeda operations chief Abu Zubaydah and the alleged September 11 mastermind Khalid Shaikh Muhammad—and in some cases has committed its own troops to hunt down al-Qaeda holdouts.

  • By becoming a major U.S. partner and staging area for the war in Afghanistan. The United States considers Pakistan one of its most important allies in the "war on terror." Pakistan granted overflight rights to coalition aircraft, let U.S. forces use two Pakistani airfields, and shared intelligence about suspected terrorists.

  • America is demanding that he crack down on Islamist militants; Pakistan's religious extremists and some intelligence officials are furious at him for abandoning Afghanistan's Taliban rulers and softening his line on Kashmir

  • • Pakistan has since become a key U.S. partner in its campaign against al-Qaeda, even as the perpetually turbulent, nuclear-armed Muslim country has teetered on the brink of war with India over the disputed province of Kashmir. Experts say Musharraf, who came to power in a 1999 coup, is under enormous strain:

  • Pakistan, which had backed al-Qaeda's Taliban hosts before September 11, abruptly reversed course and threw its lot in with the U.S.-led antiterrorist coalition. Under heavy U.S. pressure, Musharraf condemned the attacks and pledged Pakistan's "unstinted cooperation" two days later.

  • Reallity Check: Pakastan is a puppet state that has harbored more terrorists than any othere state, over 85% of the high value targets.

Iran has less than one sixth of the attackers in Iraq, most are from Saudi Arabia and the rest are Iraqis.

Barack is right, Hillary is wrong, end of story.

  • only the brainwashed americans will be happy with such a person who is going to a war with another country. keep in mind that pakistan is US ally and a nuclear power.

  • pakistan has always been a friend to USA and the majority in pakistan supported the pakistan government for military action in tribal areas to kick out talibans. now how can USA attack Pakistan? USA is already hated by most of people in the world and attacking an ally will make it worst. this idea is just so stupid and childish but some brainwashed americans would be happy to hear that USA is going for another war soon.

  • That sounds like a reasonable argument; possibly what he said about Pakistan was just poorly worded puffery. It's really difficult to know what Obama's real stances are though, because he talks in generalizations and uses phrases that everybody likes to hear, but mean very little. I think it's fairly clear what motivated Barack to take this stance though.

  • Obama is no different than any other politician. They all tell us what we want to hear. Very few have the guts to tell us what they really believe, Obama included.

  • The next President of the United States will be Barack Obama. And it's high time we get a person with the moral courage and the leadership to not stand by and let things go to pot.

  • Sorry, but Hillary is killing Barack in the polls, and in the early states. He won't even make it out of the primaries.

  • barack obama never said that he would attack an ally. the right wingers distorted obamas strategy.

  • "obamas strategy" or "Obama's strategy"? Obama has no strategy; didn't you see Biden's assesment of Obama's statement at the end?

Plus, since Obama intends to invade our ally without permission, and kill people there (which would surely include citizens), how is that not attacking an ally?

  • I am pretty sure that Obama will not invade an ally without permission from Congress to do so. He is a lawyer who knows his constitutional law. He learned it at Harvard and he taught it at University of Chicago. Let's not get ahead of ourselves, Obama meant that he would go after Bin Laden in a way that will be more direct than has currently been the case.

  • If that is what he meant, then why didn't he say it?

No excuses should be allowed for any idiotic comments by any politician.

  • Thought seriously?!? It doesn't hold a lot of water when people with horrible grammar go online and tell everybody else that they're stupid. Try making a real argument, or better yet, try explaining how Obama, as president, would get any intelligence out of Pakistan now that he has stated that if Pakistan doesn't do what he wants, he's going to invade their country.

  • I hope Obama gets elected... USA, America, is getting very scary... the way the country is thinking.

  • Okay, so I think it is clear that Obama supporters think it is scary that Americans are thinking.

  • it's more the other way around, if you thought seriously, you would be scared as well

  • How do you think the people of Pakistan felt when they watched Obama on Al Jazeera talking about attacking thier country? What political elements in Packistan's society do you think gained influence and power based on the fear that it generated?

  • Obama would make such a horrible president. Please pick someone else people...

  • obama is inexperienced. Forgive, he won't attack an ally.

  • In fact, tell Obama to look up Waziristan War, he could learn something. Also, ask him how he is going to get information from Pakistanies now that he has basically said we will go in there whether they like it or not if they tell us Bin Laden is there.

  • Pakistan is on our side in the war on terror. They've fought terrorists and they have to deal with terror problems of their own. They also let us use their air bases to fight against terror in that region. If we go into Pakistan and start shooting people, then it's going to erupt into a war with local tribes (as happened before when Pakistan tried to root out Taliban remnants near their border), so we would indeed be attacking an ally and killing their citizens. Look up Waziristan War.

  • Pakistan is a moderate, democratic country, and is as peaceful as Sweden. Nobody worries about Sweden, do they? Just because the Taliban was created and supported by Pakistan, well, that's just bad luck. And just because al-Qaeda was able to have covert support by Pakistan's ISI before 9/11, well, oh well. And just because Bin Laden has obtained peaceful refuge in Pakistan for 6 years, hey American Idol is on TV so stop wasting my time.

  • (saracasm)That's not what Ronald Reagan did. He didn't sit down and talk to our enemies to see if they can find common ground.

Obama's statement dealt only with bin Laden. Obama would strike at Pakistan if Osama was there, but everyone is turning it into, "Oh, you would attack an ally of ours?" No, he did not say that all. He said he would strike at a target that killed nearly 3,000 Americans! No one else has answered this hypothetical question.

  • Since when is Al-Quaeda Americas Ally?

  • There's a certain arrogance where Obama thinks that somehow he'll be able to sway these malevolent, megalomaniacal, anti-American and anti-liberty crackpot dictators to adopt pro-American policies merely by the sheer power of his _personality_, by meeting with them. On the contrary, those kind of people use meetings like that to wheel and deal and deceive for their own ends.

  • BJ, you totally nailed Obama on this one. His posturing is so transparent it's scary. This guy will risk an islamic coup in nuclear Pakistan just to try to look tough. B. Hussein Obama stepped in it, and then stuck his foot in his mouth.

  • i smell bigotry

  • I think you mean stupidity. But that's kind of harsh, after all Obama is still young and inexperienced.

  • Obama is really good at not getting specific about anything, but how is he going to get Osama, if Osama if found in Pakistan without sending in troops or planes?

  • If Osama is found in Pakistan, are you saying we should let him stay there? Leave him alone?

  • The title of this video is "Why is Obama Talking About Attacking an Ally?"

Why am I pointing this out though it's obvious?

Because Obama never said a THING about INVADING or attacking PAKISTAN.

    Dumbass.

  • Obama seems to have his priorities reversed. We would all love to have peace, but pretending that our enemies are good, decent people won't bring it. We all want to get Osama, but creating an enemy out of an allied nation just for the chance to get him doesn't make sense.

  • Haha, obama what a naive candidate, he's more naive than Ron Paul. Keep up the good videos bjalder!

  • To make ally president don't require to meet all the dictators, it's president policy about diplomacy and Hillary is right about it, president don't have to meet all the leaders of the world in her/his first year of presidency.

  • Because our Ally is harboring or ENEMY! That is why!!!!! There is no reason NOT to meet with those people. You meet with everyone, you fight to make peace! How well has our not meeting policy worked for us? 9/11, that's how well it's worked.
