  • Guy is totally shitcanned.

  • This 'Country Morning Music' is explosively awesome.. How is it Guy never actually recorded it? Or did he? Set me straight.. Either way, tho, a heroic piece of film..

  • Thanks for identifying Jim McGuire. I have the video, but wondered who that was. Is it the same Jim McGuire who did the Nashville Portraits?

  • blue eyed sally !!

  • Noobs@ MsBuddles lol your not from Texas are you?

This documentary is the shit. Especially this whole jam session. "1967 field fuckin' hippie high"- Guy Clark in "Be Here to Love Me"

  • Does anyone know who all the muscians are besides Guy Clark and Steve Earle?

  • @MsBuddles far left, Steve...to his right, Richard Dobson...to his right, Rodney Crowell...to his right early in the video, Suzanna Clark and later Steve Young (with black hat and mustache)...then Guy...and on the far right I believe that's Jim McGuire.

  • @Winkleman13 Thanks alot for letting me know!! :-)

  • @Winkleman13 Didn't Richard Dobson rape and kill a few people?

  • Does anyone know who is sitting on the right and left of Guy Clark?

  • Thanks for posting. I saw this movie once it is great. They wall look so young, and now they are legends.!

  • @MsBuddles you're welcome, thanks for watching

  • Just bought the dvd off Amazon. Fantastic documentary, worth every penny!!!

  • For whatever reason. Youtube isn;t letting me post the url's to the vids... go figure, they're here on Youtube. If you do a search for country morning music, they come up, one is Keith Sykes and the other is anonymous.

  • Unfortunately, no... Google doesn't have them. I can only guess it's due to the song being really obscure. However, there are a few vids here by other artists where the lyrics are bit less obscure:

  • "Country Morning Music", a Guy Clark song.

  • @zenwhips do you have the lyrics?

  • @zenwhips That's a Keith Sykes song. Guy actually talks about making a cover that never happened (to my knowledge). Clark complains about Keith (Sykes) not even caring about that song. It was released again recently on Sykes' album "Don't Count Us Out". The original was on on of Sykes' Vanguard albums from the early 70s.

  • What's the second song?

  • Guy Clark is the King!!!! No contest.

  • You gotta love the sussane's painting of the shirt behind guy. she paints amazing

  • "Including keith, he dont even fucking care. He cant even play it" lol love guy clark

  • Steve Earle's talent reaches out even then...

  • Забавно )))

  • Is that a young Steve Earle on the left?

  • Yeah, a thin Steve Earle

  • A full head of haired Steve Earle.

  • @gordlightfootfan A very young Steve Earle Yes...

  • yes he is.

  • next: richard dobson, Rodney Crowell, Susanna Clark, Guy Clark

  • Does anybody know the steel guitar player?

  • Gerry Douglas?

  • :D :D :D :D

(that's all i've got to say. love them to death.)

  • Kelso??

  • Love it when the guy says "Let's do a duet!" I need to get this doc.

  • I've spent many years on Nashville and this doc really hits the nail on the head. I love seeing all the guys young and ready to tear the world apart. I wish I could have been sitting there with them. Buy the doc!!

  • Too much fun!. Thanks for the post.

  • Guy looks drunk off his ass in that second song.

  • What in the world gave you that impression? ;-)

  • that's true, i think that might have been the general MO in those days.....

  • this is class. iv got this dvd and can watch it time n time again. the extras dvd is just as good too. so many good songs and artists....though i cant get my head round that rhinestone type dude that plays in the jail.... he seems more like a comedy act to me

    ta for posting!

  • that rhinestone guy is David Allen Coe. pretty famous country musician.

  • RC always looked like a woman to me..
