  • Thank you so much for uploading! Having the commercials along with the episode make it even better! :)

  • Love that view of the set @ 17:30.... very breathtaking.

Nice to see this ep in pristine quality from an OB.

  • Thank you kindly.

  • I wish one day the May 31, 1984 episode would resurface. According to GSN, the episode was skipped over due to tape glitches, and (probably) ditto the October 4, 1985 episode.

  • An original CBS broadcast of PYL.....Sweet!!!

  • Indeed. :-)

  • Just two weeks before Mike Larson! I recognize those patterns anywhere.

  • @Meebman1419 How so? I feel the ones from late 1985-1986 were the best episodes and most exciting episodes.

  • I know that Tattletales ended its 2nd run on June 1, 1984 but was Tattletales aired in a new first-run episode that day on May 25 or not(aka a rerun week that week). This episode is also the birth of our own Greg Diener as well.

  • Dec 7 is also the 24th anniversary of both Remote Control's MTV premiere and Credit Card's debut on TPIR, the 21st anniversary of the last first run episode of TTD90, and the 42nd anniversary of the birth of Zach Horan

  • Thanks to YNXNewMedia for the tweet that led me here! Such quality! Plus, what are the chances of having the same voice over for Miracle Whip AND Royal Oak next to each other?

  • Hey that sounds like Ernie Anderson doing the voiceover in the KCTV Eyewitness News bumper. Rather unusual to hear him do a voiceover for a non-ABC station.

  • @VHSIsNotDead No, that's not Ernie Anderson. It's actually the voice of Hugh Bowen, a staff announcer who worked for WDAF and KCTV in Kansas City.

  • @kc86er Oh okay, my bad. Sounded a lot like him though.

  • I also can't deny Peter's mention of Richmond, VA (WTVR-TV 6).

  • This is one of the most cleanest PYL episodes that isn't a 3rd or 4th Gen copy. Did you get a Beta tape or something?

  • The guy I got it from collects Beta tapes, so I would say yes.

  • @gamelover1949 That dude was lucky!

  • It sure does seem that way.

  • Yeah, this is very sweet! I'm going back in time to WFMY-TV in Winston-Salem, NC, and my brother was 12 days old at the time. :-)

  • Thanks Philip. :-)

  • @gamelover1949

    Know what's weird?

Both my grandmother and Peter were born on December 7th. My grandmother died from lung cancer (Feb 9, 2006) not long before Peter and his wife were killed in that plane crash in Cali (March 13 of the same year). Isn't that a flipping co-incidence?

  • It sure is.

  • is that the OB?

  • Yes.

  • Oh, yes... R.I.P. Peter Tomarken... Miss you, buddy...

  • Seconded, Josh. Thanks. :-)

  • Sweet!!! An original broadcast, too! Very nice, my friend! :-)
