  • God how this song hurts'' back to the bush... how music can change things..and rip your heart out

  • if Lucio Battisti was born in the USA, i ws like the beatles.

  • Great chorus. Just wonderful. I love old music compared to today's music.

  • Thank goodness for Youtube. This is the only place I know of that I could find this song other than a radio station.

  • R.I.P. Rob Grill

  • Always a favorite with me...thanks for the post

  • @pappy15445- you're very welcome!

  • Bella Linda reminds me of a girl I grew up with named Belinda. She was voted most beautiful and boy, was she. And she was sweet and smart, too. Her dad made a lot of money in the South Texas oilfield and Belinda always wore the nicest clothes. On a serioud note: RIP Rob Grill of the Grassroots who died last week. I loved this band so much as a teen growing up in South Texas. Yes, we had rock music in South Texas, not just country music.

  • I always liked this song, one of their best

  • sad day. great song

  • ....wow....wow.....what an awesome love song!!!!....have you ever tried to cry tender tears with your eyes closed???...hard to do:=)

  • THE PAIN YOUR EYES REVEAL TABITHA MAY 15TH POOR JUNE 1ST GIRL...

  • THE PAIN YOUR REVEAL TO TABITHA POOR LITTLE JUNE 1ST GIRL.....

  • The Grass Roots, I always liked these guys, just too cool dudes who had good mgm't and a record label that backed them to the hilt! Just a very successful A.M. radio hitmaking band, regardless of personnel, and the hits just came on coming! rwells47 thanks for the upload and Rob Grill and whoever the other Grass Roots are, by all means Keep On Rockin'!

  • @redsfanstu - you are welcome! Ron

  • @redsfanstu - thanks for thiis forgotten treasure.....I luv this song :=):=)

  • @txncgirl1 I can not take credit for the upload, that distinction belongs to one rwells47, but, like you, I love this song to death!

  • Thanks for this wonderful posting of the most overlooked song the Grass Roots ever recorded. My wife and I saw them in 1987 at an oldies show and he was great. I was a dj on the weekends while going to college at Michigan State and played this song quite often. At least 2-3 times a night somebody would call and asked who sang it.

  • @newhotman1001-you are very welcome! Ron

  • keep up the good work mate

  • Thanks for loading, Ron. I remember this one by the Grass Roots.

  • Always a Favorite Group of mine, never a so-so song in the batch. Thanks.

  • One of my all time great memory songs....was 17 at the time it came out. This song had another newness,...as so many new sounds were coming out during this period.

  • Wow, you are sure bringing back the memories for me today. Your channel is loaded with memories in music, both good and bad, but nice to revisit just the same.

  • You are welcom Lyndon! Ron

  • I agree with Richard..one of the classics

  • Thank you!

A favourite song of mine when I was 15.

    Peter

  • You are welcome Peter! Ron

  • Rob Grill mastered such a voice that created such hits like this that echo through my mind like the first time i ever heard him sing. Blasting out such music over the airways was such a treat back in the day along with some other incredible groups. Right up there with Tommy James and some others!!

  • You are so right Richard! Music in our minds can put us back to when we heard a song the first time. If a song is great, we can continue to appreciate it for many years! Ron

  • @brownhorse98 I agree Richard..great song

  • Great use of classical music instruments in a pop song.

  • One of my favorites. I had a good friend named Linda, back in '69. This was her favorite song for quite a while!

Great picture of Creed Bratton. I still get a kick out of seeing the way he used to look!! XD
