I used to catch lizards ALL the time in my backyard...It's been a year since I caught them..and now I can't. Thank you for this vid! I caught 10 lizards and 1 had a baby!
@a55kika18 I dont know of any lizards that are potentially harmful. Some salamanders can be poisonous, and I'm sure there are a few toxic lizards somewhere, but not in the U.S., if that is home for you.
@marijanie333 I live in Pakistan and the people here believe that ALL kinds of lizards are poisonous.I didn't want to kill that lizard but my mum kinda forced me.
not very helpful..... well idk but i always catch them with my hands... from small iguanas to big blue ones to huge iguanas, small anoles, everything i could get my hands on. i cought 116 over my vacation at aruba
just to let you know, when you put it on its back, your really suffocating it, the reason it doesnt move is because you knock it out or something like that
i want a pet lizard and we have lots of leopard geckos that come out at night and crawl on our brick walls outside i keep trying to catch one but the little sucks like a speeding bullet and ideas how to catch one?
@MrGooseMuffin yea i just mistook them they look at lot like leopard geckos there house geckos its what i found out i think manhatten or massachuttes i think?
I put one lasso on ttail on one on its belly and one on it neck and it works perfectly but I used that fishing rope type of thing and it started to bleed and so now its in my room i'm taking care of it well not anymore cause it died like one year after I caught it so I buried it in my backard and my dug it up and ate it i'm still catching more lizards and not using fishing rope. oh I also named it jerry I think it was a girl i never checked. WISH ME LUCK!!
sometimes it is easier to use grass or something like that if it is long enough. they dont think of it as dangerous, and less likely to run away from it.
man..the idea is good...and it works for some lizards ...but believe me..not for all...some lizards are so fast and if you are near them like 5-7 feet distance..they run away...so hard to catch them....

i catch lizards at lake eppalock where i am and i use my HANDS stupid noobs rather than choke it and i never failed once so stop being a pussy and grab it.
No offense, but that seems a wussy way to catch 'em.. You should get ur hand and put it on their tail really fast then grab their little tiny body n' there... getting a slipnot and a twig.. horrible wussy way it is just stupid.
The slip knot is THE best way for catching these little guys. They eat them in many parts of the world and this is the method of choice. Quick and easy and the lizard never sees it coming.
So let me compare your comment in another situation would you rather use your bare hands to kill a lion or use a trap to kill the lion Think about our brains are what made us the dominate species on earth we should use it whisely
it does work...i do it like that too...you just got to sneak as close as u can to the lizard ...u can get a stick/twig make a little cut in the middle and put the slipknot on it....it's really easy..i've caught lots of lizards that way
i got 3 of them, baby one died some how my friend was kinda swinging it and got sqished and other one jumped out of the bucket it had it stuff dirt and all that stuff and ones in the bucket sleeping
Great catching action, 5 stars, hot lizard on lizard action! However, never allow a drunk person to handle your video camera as it will always be out of focus and have sound issues.

drollerd96 1 year ago
@drollerd96 It's called herping. Look it up. And btw, lizards drop their tails all the time. It's a defense mechanism to get away from predators.

if you shoot them right at the end of their tail with an airsoft gun they will be stunned but anywhere else and they die

i made one with piano string, then i attempted to catch a lizard with it, it sliced the head right off =<, my future pet died in an instant
boblee666 1 year ago
this is stupid it doesnt even show how to catch it or how to make the string
twebb20 1 year ago
If you can run them out into the open that would be good. Lizards get tired fast. They run in spirts but get real tired fast.

how in the world did that stupid lizard fall 4 that were i live they will run around that string lol
