  • Amazing piece of music!

  • so wonderful :-)

    thanks for posting

I love you Bonaaaaaaaaaaa

    merci

  • melodic relaxing vocals and sound

  • Monsieur BONA I ADORE YOU. ADMIRATION FOR YOUR TALENT, LOVE FOR YOU PERSONALITY, and RESPECT FOR WHO YOU ARE AND WHAT YOU DO. I am also from DIBOMBARI ! i hope i get to meet you someday !

  • I have been looking for this song everywhere! I do not speak the language, so I didn't know the lyrics or title or anything, I just heard it somewhere. Now that I found it, I'm so happy. I think this song is so peaceful. I don't even need a translation for lyrics or anything. I still feel it.

  • "My mother always told me that if you talk to people you can find a solution to any problem. Each time people fight it's because they did not talk. Eyala is a plea for communication. Men aren't always great commnunicators: that's why there are wars, guns rather than words."

  • @bejamillion2 Good job at translating ....alas I sense a comdenation in that narrative. War can be for a host of reasons beside communcation ...try greed, power, repression, enslavement etc which all butiful communicating would not solve. proose maybe

  • @bejamillion2 i love what you say .

    x.

  • The 5 people who dislike this song are stupid morons!!!

  • quelle misik douceee

  • If you did'nt exixt technology would have created you thanks eyala, thanks richard bona merci

  • Richard is the greatest living musician, in my opinion. He is the successor to Joe Zawinul. His talent, soul, feel. virtuosity, and all other things good and artistic are beyond compare.

  • @pekasauruserex soooooooooooooooooooooo true

  • Magnifique! Ça touche deep down....

  • Someone always abuses the people who dislike amazing videos but I just can't help myself... seriously who the hell thumbed this down haha?!?! It's absurd!!

  • That song means harmony and evenness. I can't describe what deep feelings are moved by this song. I feel happiness and sadness at the same time. The song is amazing...

  • yeah thats true

  • Does anyone know what he is saying ....

  • yes,pay me

  • IM SO IN LOVE...wow..

  • so so so so so so brilliant

  • Its so relaxing.

  • i dont understand a word and it's still beautiful : ) i love this mans music.

  • My mother always told me that if you talk to people you can find a solution to any problem. Each time people fight it's because they did not talk. Eyala is a plea for communication. Men aren't always great commnunicators: that's why spiceburgers taste so good.

  • Ure right man, but i dont get the point with the spiceburgers...

  • Un vrai camerounais. We got the best musicians on the continent.

  • wonderful

  • maravilloso tema

  • that's all what music is about. This song is so penetrating and rlaxing at the same time. just awesome

  • It's the most beautiful song I've ever heard.

  • does anybody know witch he played this song with ? thanks

  • He plays a 5-stringed bass.

  • sorry i was tired and didnt ask my question propaly. I was wondering witch -musicians- he was playing with, i really like the pianio part

  • The pianist on that cut was Jean-Michel Pilc. the piano is haunting!

The other pianist playing on this cd was Edsel Gomez -- but this cut lists Pilc.

  • amazing voice I wish i could know what he is saying

  • It's from his 1999 album 'Scenes From My Life' and from the CD cover the meaning goes thus;

"My mother always told me that if you talk to people you can find a solution to any problem. Each time people fight it's because they did not talk. Eyala is a plea for communication. Men aren't always great commnunicators: that's why there are wars, guns rather than words."

  • This beautiful song has been a favourite of mine for years, now you've given it meaning too, thanks

  • thank u so much, I have used and spread this to man people now :)

  • @Isambay you're right men

  • @Isambay - THANK YOU!

  • of course it is not, i'm a spanish native speaker and this has nothing to do with my language.

    the song is beautiful.

    cheers.

    Formidable

  • Bona touched my heart. For that I thank him.

  • it aint spanish but a camerounian language(my mother tongue) douala

  • yes it is! i am fom the french spoken part

  • French transliteration typically portrays the "ooh" sound with "ou", and that's probably why gerstansel wrote "Camerounian".

  • that song is great

  • I don't understand much Spanish but his bass playing and the music brings tears to my eyes... it is beautiful (sorry but I lost my father not long ago),

  • he is just lovely... listen to him all the time... purely sweet and mind pleasing

  • absolutly breathtaking...God is Good!!! :)...and he is showing up in Bona"s music. :)

  • richard bona is God !

  • i love when the piano lead comes in and transforms the song

  • én is ott voltam tegnap a MüPa-ban. Borsózott a hátam, mikor énekelni kezdett, akármit csinált minden mozdulat, hang, gesztus csak hozzátett a zenéhez. elképesztően muzikális és vérprofi showman is. BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

  • Hi guys, can someone tell me how we can make nice jazz music out of our "mother songs"; i mean those songs that our grand parents used to sing while working, putting babies to sleep, sharing good and sad events, etc... i would like one of our talented musicians to make me happy by doing that. I am sure Richard Bona can do that; he just needs to travel all over the country (Cameroon), and spend more time in the western part...; why not ? thanks. Alex

  • Good thought my friend. We have nice ones as well in the coastal plains.

  • Although music is not included in Cameroonian curriculum, local languages also are not taught in schools and owning a guitar is still a luxury ,one of the most gifted musician of our time is from Cameroon.

  • S-U-B-L-I-M-E ~~~~~~!!!!!!

  • let me quote the comments from a german press " The extraodinary gifted cameroonian Richard Bona"That says it all or?

  • Only a few people remind me that i am a cameroonian, and even fewer make me feel proud about that. Richard Bona is one of them. check out Henri Dikongue & Manu Dibango too. hear the rest of Cameroons Jazz

  • you are definitively right. those are really the epitome of cameroonian music not like those back in the country who use vulgar languages and images to make their songs appealing. (hint: one of them claims to be the people's woman lol)

  • I don`t know the words of this song but I can feel it. Yes! It`s the essence of pure art and poetry... Love it!.

  • "My mother always told me that if you talk to people you can find a solution to any problem. Each time people fight it's because they did not talk. Eyala is a plea for communication. Men aren't always great commnunicators: that's why there are wars, guns rather than words."
