  • ASQUEROSO!!! Je Ne Parle Pas Français. Tu est bête. Mon Dieu!!!

  • Love this song ! GA are up for a laugh - it's what makes them so great. And for those of you that are confused by the lyrics...it's meant to be ironic!!

  • Fantastic irony!

  • trop bien cette version j'adore aussi ^^

En plus ,elles ont quand même un accent compréhensible ^^ .

Je viens de connaitre ce groupe et j'adore !!!!

  • j'aime

  • TRES BIEN..

  • wow belle job je suis surpris. Je viens just de decouvrir ce video. Pas mal du tout!

    Nice job!

I live In canada, Ontario, and my first language is French. I bet that you already guessed that my second one is English.:-)

  • I love it how Funky is the same in French and English XD My french teacher played this in the lesson XD

  • pas mal de tout ! I'm quite surprised to be honest! Good on them! Their accents aren't too bad considering they don't actually speak French, they just learn the lyrics for the song!

Quite ironic at the same time! I guess saying Je ne peux pas parler anglais alors je laisse la musique funky faire le balade (or whatever walking is - i forget!) wouldn't QUITE fit in would it...?!

  • actually, nicola did languages at college and french was her best language,so yeah she does speak french, probably better than you tbh

  • this is ironic...

  • It's not ironic. It's more like an oxymoron.

  • but they are speaking it . LOL just kidding

  • Je ne parle pas francais, means i don't speak french. Je ne peux pas parler francais, means I can't speak french.

  • I love the chorus (and all of it XD) in French! This must've been so hard for them to sing! I've been looking for this everywhere, thankyou! x

    Cheryl! <3 Idol forever x

  • where did you get this copy of Them actually singing it in french?

  • it's one of the B-sides of the single

  • Cheryl's HOT in lingerie (or whatever undergarments theyre wearing)!!!

  • Je parle un peu français

  • ehh la prononciation c'est de la merde. x.x

  • lol yes, but if they spoke perfect french - then saying "je ne parle pas francais" would make absolutely no sense

  • no comments...wait i leave a coments...this make no sens ( thanks steve kardinal hehe )

  • wait

    i take that back lmfao

i just listened to it again

    it is correct

  • by the way

    its not compronnes

    its comprend

    yes

    i am from Ottawa Canada

    AND we know french

  • aww love sorry but canadian french is quite shit. i would know cos im from france :/

  • You'll find it is actually "comprenne", the video is correct. If you're Canadian and as good at French as you make out. You will find that it is infact the subjunctive tense they are using.

  • It is infact correct, you'll find they're using the subjuctive form of comprendre. "que tu comprennes".

You blatently don't "comprendre la langue!"

  • haha je ne parle pas francais aber in französisch singen xD

  • I love this...

  • je me chiav a mammt

  • Me fa piacere :D Staje for

  • LoVe ThiiS SOnG I CAn LIsTen It 20 Times A DAy xD

  • honestly , saying 'garçon', it's not a good choice of translation, sounds like they're pedophiles ...

  • They're right, they don't speak french, I'm French, they should aticulate more, we don't understand half of it, or they shouls have done like Enrique Iglesias and followed some pronunciation courses B4 !!! that's not really professionnal, did they release the song in France ?

  • Bah Je Sais Pas Pour LEs AUtres Mais Je COmpreNds ParfAiteMent Ce QUelle Dise Et Je VIens DU QuéBec DOnc JvOit PAs LE Mal!!

  • I don't think they did...it wasn't even a single in the UK either ... :P

  • Ok, then, fine, I don't think they're gonna release that in France, and even if they did, I think it would be in English, cos, in France we won't tolerate such stupid lyrics as that , I remember even the boyband BLUE, had a French version of 'curtains fall' which was much more elaborate with a true message ... that's a shame, cos I kinda like the English version ...

  • Agreed. I hope this song doesn't get any further than England. It's humiliating.

  • Humiliating, that was the word I was looking for !!! :)))

  • It really ticks me off when people over-correct others. Yes, you can translate the title of the song to "I can't speak French" if you want to. Just because it literally means "I don't speak French" doesn't mean that you /have/ to translate it that way. It sounds better translated as "I can't" anyway.

  • French? Spanish better!!

    GO SPAIN!!

    Fernando Torres better than Benzema!!

  • Spain is good, that Torres left for England !!! man , and Benzema is coming !!! (thank God, we don't want of that arrogant prick in France anymore)

  • ooF !

    Je t'aime!

  • It is not a Great song but it is funny since it is a B-side of the Can't Speak French single. Also, Cheryl's accent is TERRIBLE!! GOSH!

  • speaking about french accent. try to get one, lady . i'm french and i just can't understand a single word you're saying. for instance i do understand the english lyrics better. thx for the subtitles...

  • same for me !!!

they should have stick to the english version ... je ne parle pas francais, alors ne chante pas en francais !!!

  • I love this version how ironic that they can speak french lol

  • Je parle Francais!

  • Its: I don't speak french, not can't.

  • I speak french lol

  • I find the irony amusing, personally. I like the English and French versions. :)

  • oui les filles ça se voir.

  • Thanks for the subtitles.

  • posted comment on other version-tho will add here too..

    ^10

Deux Cinq Etoiles!! Excellement video; tres bien fait filles !!

Je ne parle pas Francais non plus.. LoL '-)

  • je ne parle pas francais aussi hahaha

  • Amazinnggg !!!!!

  • oh the irony

  • i agree

  • this is well weerd!! I like the English version much better!!! They are saying i can't speakl french in FRENCH!!!!!

  • Well, in this version they say, "I CAN speak French, but..." I still agree though. The English one is better.

  • No they say je parle pas français which means I can't speak French. I'm French so I understand what they say.

  • They say Je parle pas francais. In spoken french you generally drop the ne. In the case of 'Je n'aime pas tu copine' by avril lavigne it's either regional (she would know Canadian French) or for better flow than 'J'aime pas tu copine'.

  • it should be "ta copine"

  • ce j'adore

  • I like this song :)

  • I laugh when the chorus is all in french apart from funky music in the middle

  • musiqe funkie! :)

  • Euh... Mais.. Elles parlent francais? XD

  • kimberley looks AMAZING here!!!!!

  • ooo the irony.

  • fun song

  • Another thing WHY CAN'T GIRLS DRESS LIKE THIS TODAY!!!? WTF HAPPENED??!

  • Gettin me in the mood for ETW :D

  • makes you have a real appreciation pour les belle fracaises. Vivre Quebec!

  • oh i get it now, the french title of the song is actually 'je parle francais' as in I speak French, not can't speak French.

  • Nope, it's still 'je ne parle pas francais' but French people usually drop the first 'ne' :)

  • booooo. my french professor isn't so great then! haha

  • haha how come?

    :)

  • no it aint the actual song is called i can't speak french there is an english one xx

  • it kinda makes no senes there singin cant speak french in french but ovarl good tune

  • Nadine's my favourite, but her accent is terrible in this. You can barely understand what she says, but kudos for trying. Cheryl and Kimberley are impressive though.

  • musta been easy for nicola she already knew french where she learned in her language school :P

  • very good but a heads up the french for music is not music its way longer but i cant i think of it now

  • yep its musique but the "funky music" bit was left in english lol

  • love girls aloud, but for the record elles parlent le francais comme une vache espagnole haha

  • gutted for the girls, having to learn and sing one of their songs in french, it must have been so hard, but they did it prettty good, although i dont talk french either so...

  • I knew they did this in French,...but i have never heard it before until now that is! ;)

It's really good actually,..i like it allot! ;)

  • Kimberlys parts are the best :)

  • Ok I am French and I can say that their accents are really sexy !!! lol...

    (Their accents are ?

    or their accent is ?)

Like I said I'm French I'm not that good in English.. maybe I should have let the funky music do the talkling... ^^)

  • lol! yeah, you're right. it's they are because it's plural. if it's singular, meaning just 1 then it is "is"

  • heeeheee!

i love it they sound so funny but good at the same time ;)

ooh this helped my get a good grade in french last term ;) :D x

  • i like it more

  • i dont understand a word of this lol... okay maybe a "word" lmao. this makes me laugh every time i listen to it pmsl x

  • I listened to this so many times in French. Every time i hear the English version i can't help but sing the French version instead i can't sing it anymore in English

    .

  • they really can't speak french XD it's funny.

  • the redhead is simply gorgeous

  • this is great becuase i know pretty much all the words in english anyway and i have a french speaking exam tomorrow!! this should help :)

  • yeah it is girls aloud singing but the lyrics were streamed over the mormal video, they did well didnt they?? i could never do a french accent in school!

  • i wanted 2 listen 2 the english verison but accidently pusted this one :S lucky i no the words

  • next week in french were learning this song

  • lucky.

  • LOL! they can't speak french but they can sing french! XD

  • They've created a time paradox!!! :O

  • They all look hot! and in French makes it hotter!

  • Cheryls even more sexy in this version, i didn't think that was possible :)

  • j'adore la version francaise, ce petit accent anglais est vraiment trop sexyyy !! tout comme elles :-P je kiff comment les anglophone disent "j'adore" .. lol

  • i prefer this version the lyrics are cool. it's pretty ironic though. is this girls aloud? sounds like them. their accents aren't bad at all!

  • it is them.

  • Good Video

  • The funiest thing is the way they showing the french people!

Are we still considerated as lovers and "courtisans"? ;)

Ce qui est le plus drole c'est de voir comment les français sont perçus!

Somme nous toujours considérés comme des amants et des courtisans? ;)

  • say what? I just lost you after courtisans.

  • is this girls aloud singing it or someone else as i no girls aloud did sing it in french

  • 5/5

  • lol technically theyre SINGING french rather than speaking french ;)

  • this song is ironic

  • no..it says je ne parle francais..which means i cant speak french..

  • theyre singing "je parle PAS francais"

its the "pas" bit that makes it can't

  • But they say:

    Je parle français.

    Don't they??

So it would be, translating, I speak french.

  • they can really speak french very well.why they say they cant speak french.

  • Nadine coyle sounds sexy!!!! :P

  • what a paradox : ]

  • AMAZING LOVE IT AND LOVE CHERYL <3

  • vive le francais!!!!!! (i'm a french!^^)

  • i actually really like it...yea, its class!

    and...sexy?

  • Yup, I would say this was made for English people rather than French people. The lyrics are different and to French people this must sound awful.

  • i also love " le foonky" :)

why r they singing in french i cant speak french though?? =D

  • irony, it's a beautiful thing.

  • It's bad, but it's funny - it reinforces what they're trying to sing about...

  • ce n'est pas "c'est puissant" c'est " ce frisson"...

    XOXO

  • i love the way they say funky!

  • this is so cool, do they actually sing this?

  • yup!

  • I'm french and i can't understand a single word of this song.

  • lol that's why i added the subtitles!

  • They have changed the lyrics abit

But I love the song in French

    :D

  • ...I'm not sure if everyone agrees...but the fact it's sang in French makes it sound SO sexy!

  • that was really cool to see. watching this makes me want to see more stuff on youtube in different languages and just acquaint myself with the way they sound, since I don't get much of an intimate collection of language living in the US. So, this really enriched my day. Thank you for reminding me there are other countries :o)

  • You might want to check out my favorites.

  • that's quite a collection :o)

    thank you

  • i like how "funky music" still sounds like it's english amongst the french words.

  • lol :L dat was real gud :)

  • they talked about this on an interview. it is them singing and they had like a person there telling them how to do it. and everything had to be really precise.

  • seems they can speak french after all!

  • ohh , then good job

  • I dont think they are singing the song.. look at their mouth , it is obvious they are singing something else. i think they putted together some video with with this french song. But certainly these girls are not the singers.

  • It is them singing but the video was made for the original (English) version of the song.

I just added the French version audio to the original video.

  • what are you on about this is their song

this vide is for the english version of the song

and then they recorded it again in french

so this video is this singing in french but you see their lips moving to the engish

they are called girls aloud if you dont know and are and english pop group

one of the biggest selling girl bands ever

    so dont judge mate

  • this was my first time watching their video. I didn't judge them on their singing skills or dancing or anything. I just said it seems that they are not singing this song, but then Katie told me that this is the video for the english version, then i got it why it seemed like they werent singing thesong. SO I WAS NOT JUDGEMENTAL. I do agree they sing preety well the english version i liked it. and They are all pretty.

  • the person who posted it put it with the video...it comes as a song with the single

  • lol look all the geeks faces wen they enter the room

  • Oh mon Dieu! J'ai vraiment aimé verison français..xD! I'm usually picky when singers/groups re-do a song in another lanuguages, but this was actually good :)

  • im not french but that does sound really good :) It must of been really hard for them to record xx

  • Yes Im french and i hear their accent . =P

  • To anyone who can tell- When they sing this, is their accent really thick? I mean, the French would be able to tell that they aren't french, right?

  • Yes, I'm pretty sure some who speaks French as a first language (like me) is able to see French is not their first language.

They do have a accent for sure (not a bad thing, but it's the truth).

  • Yeah they have a pretty strong accent if you ask me. it's cute but i can't understand a single word!

  • is it actually them singing

  • yep definately!

ive seen interviews where they talked about doing it in French, plus anybody who is a big fan can recognise their voices - they sing the same individual lines as the equivalent lines in the original version.

  • This version is so much better sang in French I love it! Their accent is on point and impressive for Brit gals, my French is nowhere near as good lol!

  • just a question im not too good with french: are they now singing i can speak french?

    xo

  • nah lol its still i cant speak french lol

  • well really if their singign i cant speak french the french should be " je ne peux pas parle francais" but we'll let it go..

  • Lol true.

  • no actually "je ne parle pas français" is a better translation than "je ne peux pas...". you don't always have to translate "can" by "pouvoir".

  • but in the lyrics on1:17 it says je parle and in the title it says je na parle and im just guessing the na menas cant :S

again im just guessing my french is bad

  • *ne not na

  • Technically it should be "je ne parle pas francais" yup, but its the "pas" bit that makes it can't more than the "ne" and apparently in everyday speech, French people often miss out the "ne" bit, which is used mainly in written French.

  • thank you.

i really qiah is learnt french lol :)

    xo

  • that is absolutely right^^. we never say 'ne', we just write it.

  • oh really? It's just because you make oral mistakes ^^

  • I read in an interview that Cheryl hates her part signing and always skips it because she hates it s much!

  • tres tres fantastique ! ils parlent très bien français, ma langue, ils devraient faire plus comme ça! Je les aime beaucoup, mais ils son encore meilleur en français! l'amour vous les filles, bien fait.

  • Wow, this is acually pretty good. They have an excellent French accent! (I'm not being sarcastic, lol.)

  • Jadore (L)

  • Cette chanson est vraiment trop cool =P

Enfin voilà quoi juste un ptit commentaire pour dire que J' adore !!!!!

    Love it <3

  • mdr c'est trop merde.

this isn't that great, but the song does get in your head!

elles vraiment ne parlent pas français, hein?

however, this version is better than the english, i must say.

la chanson au anglais est plus étrange !

  • I am French and I love Girls Aloud, so it's pretty cute to hear them singing in French.

    Merci les filles!

  • hoooot

  • I love this. It always makes me laugh.

And I love Girls Aloud. They were so brave doing this.

I heard they had a french woman in the studio with them, teaching them all the words and she shouted at them if they couldn't do it right!

Does anyone know if the lyrics in this have the same meaning as the english ones? I don't think they do because I've been learning french for a couple of years so I partly understand what that says, and it means something else entirely.

  • i want this on myspace!
