They are so valuable because Barne's knew when he created the collection that they were amongst these artitst's greatest works. He deliberately kept them seperate from the powers that existed in the "Art World" because he didn't want them to become comercialized and trivialized! The same people that criticized Barnes and his collection during his life have now stolen his paintings and have decided to display them at Disney World! Score one for capitalism and score zero for artistic integrity!
