Victor, probably you already heard in Nederlands about Oscar Aleman, in turn a contemporary argentine friend and Gipsy jazz guitar player of Django Reinhardt. He has a site oscar-aleman (do tcom) .ar. Here at utube can be found some vids about him.
Well i dont know much bout tango, but i always tought it meant a woman who cheates on her man. Im from Argentina, also it means a trap to catch animals as well.... But as tango always talks bout women and cheating, i tought it was the first meaning.... as this song has no lyircs, who knows?
To say that "tango always talks about women and cheating" is a stretch, and being from Argentina you should know that there are many other topics covered by the lyrics of tango.
In this case the word you're trying to associate in "tramposa" as in a woman who cheats on her man.
La trampera, in the case of this milonga refers to the trap used by hunters.
@charinco001@charinco001 If you want to say ' A liar girl' then the word in Spanish is ' la tramposa' which has same root. "La Trampera " means the trap Guess it's a derived from slang ( lunfardo in ARG ) as the place (i.e. apartment) where a couple can be together hidden from people.
