Good information, except that this video does not look at all at whether increasing or even steady demand, can be met this year and in coming years.

Yes, fair enough. I did not mean it as a criticism of the video, but as an added area of information that would deliver the final piece to tell us where the world stands. Understood, it would be a whole other effort at data gathering and projection.

My observation tells me we are fucked four ways until tuesday and my intuition tells me we are on a golden path that the planet has in store for us. SUV's and greed will soon be irrelevent.
The planet will take care of itself.

I hear you. Maybe we can moderate some of it. I don't know. Many of us hope it will be a dramatically changed world - maybe 100 years from now - but who wants to live through the screaming, crying, suffering.

It's a natural process that our world is embarking on. She's done it on countless occasions. Just sit back and enjoy the ride. As Confucius said, "May you live in interesting times."
Embrace death. It's all we have at the end of the day.
Try to leave less plastic laying around in the meantime. It's ugly and hurting many creatures less adapted to controlling their destiny.
