Charlotte (the same character in my film Until The Very Last Moment) is a secret smoker and always prefers to smoke alone when she's stressed. It's kind of a humorous point that she remains smoking despite this guys presence. I know the imagery of smoking by young people and what it represents in cinema and I think this video and the short play around with that iconography a bit.
