The hero betrays his squad and kills them. He saves a civilian from getting shot. He gets arrested and thrown into prison.. He is sent to Mars. As he is about to be executed... Hell breaks loose. The UAC squad is killed. The hero picks up an Berreta M92.. and make the story based off of the original DOOM.

Doom the movie sucked. It was nothing like the game. It was more like Resident Evil cuz of all the zombies and mutated monsters from C24. Doom the game was monsters from hell invading mars.
I hated that genoma bullshit and stuff. The Imps where awesome tho. But I missed the demon invasion and all that sataniic awesomeness that made Doom and incredible game.
A reboot is in the works. Although I remain sceptical, with the right producer, director, script, and cast, a reboot definitely has potential, but it will be very tough to make an awesome Doom movie.
@john2earth Not to hard all you got to do is take out the Resident evil experimentations (C24 really? ) Add more demonic presence, change name of the hero to ( Flynn ) Add a cyberdemon/Sipdermastermind, More FPS like scenes. Really the best of the games to make a movie off of is DOOM 3 imo.

I liked the movie, but I do see your point. There were no gates to hell, so instead they mentioned the archiological digs which refers to the ones in Doom 3. Double Barrel shotguns weren't introduced until Doom 2. I'm pretty sure that the imp w chainsaw was a hellknight. As for the zombies, the only zombies in the first 2 games were Zombieman, Shotgun Guy, and that one Chaingun dude from Doom2. So yea, there are a lot of things missing from the games, and hopefully we'll see a reboot of the film

I think that a sequel would be a great idea, there would be much ground for a fierce battle on earth (hell on earth) as John Grim comes back and finds out that the zombie that escaped spread the contamination on earth. John is the only "superhuman" that's immune to the contamination and has the ability to regenerate fast, he is the only one who can blast the demons throughout the world! Yeah! It could be the Doom that all the fan are waiting to long to see!

On deimos (one of mar's moons) had a lab where the tested teleportation and a portal opened up in hell, something went through, started an invasion. Then you fight your way to phobos (which in doom 3 RoE was the scariest level BY FAR) which you find out is nothing but a chunk of rock floating over hell.

The zombies needed guns, that would have made the movie less realistic, and I know zombie aren't real, but like the movie land of the dead the zombies started to learn and giving them guns would have made it a little more believable, but I know what you mean..make it more of the game than an entirely different movie
The whole movie should've been done in first-person. What would be cool is to have an action/horror/sci-fi movie shot in first-person. Somthing like Cloverfield.

I think that a sequel would be a great idea, there would be much ground for a fierce battle on earth (hell on earth) as John Grim comes back and finds out that the zombie that escaped spread the contamination on earth. John is the only "superhuman" that's immune to the contamination and has the ability to regenerate fast, he is the only one who can blast the demons throughout the world! Yeah! It could be the Doom that all the fan are waiting to long to see!

I know! Too bad the movie didn't follow the plot of the game (what can we expect, it's Hollywood they fuck everything up). What ever happened to all the satanic imagery, the demons and the undead soldiers, the hellish themes, and that classic Doom armour? There's a Halo movie coming out 2012, we can be sure they'll mess that one up too.

On deimos (one of mar's moons) had a lab where the tested teleportation and a portal opened up in hell, something went through, started an invasion. Then you fight your way to phobos (which in doom 3 RoE was the scariest level BY FAR) which you find out is nothing but a chunk of rock floating over hell.

they should of kept the demon idea, and in the end it should of been a first person animation of the scene from the title screen: the doomguy, on top of a pile of dead bodies fending off demons with dual smg's. also the zombies should of had guns in the movie. :D i hope they use these ideas in the next doom movie that they are making, also they should just be 3D versions of how the classic doom monsters looked. ^ ^ and btw that music kicked ass, where can i download the track from the beginning?

The zombies needed guns, that would have made the movie less realistic, and I know zombie aren't real, but like the movie land of the dead the zombies started to learn and giving them guns would have made it a little more believable, but I know what you mean..make it more of the game than an entirely different movie

lol for some reason the beginning looks like hes been given drugs and goes on a drug trip which the music clarified in a way :D i liked that and yes the movie couldve been a LOT better if they had just been able to spend more time on it. Great way to spice the movie up with the actual DOOM music. TEN MINUTES OF PURE WIN!

Okay the stupid part of this movie is that nothing looks demonic like the older dooms, the monsters all look just look like some crazy mutant alien, that also goes for doom 3. Go to doom 64, doom , doom2, etc. look at the non human enemies and compare them to the movie or doom3.
