they are very expensive

not only are they expensive, but they take a lot of care. ferrets sleep for a looong time each day, but they also need a few hours a day of "playtime" because they're very energetic. you should have a pet meeting before buying one, as well, to make sure your other pets are ok with the new addition to the family!

Now he is sharing a great ferret life with Yume (a female ferret) and his new owners. Miss "him", though.

You should really be careful of getting only two ferrets, either 1 or 3 never two, if one passes away the other will sure to follow in about 6 weeks prier, no matter how much attention you give it.....

Not really. I think Fero was relatively easy to take care when a baby.

However, I think ferrets can be very demanding animals and the owner has to be prepared to "own" (or be owned by) a ferret :-)

i doubt they are harder to take care of then a lab but they can tend to get themselves in dangerous situations alot so it would be wise to keep an eye on them

Nope, he never did and hope he won't do it! anyhow, ferrets are kind of awkward in what concerns toillet. For instance, he sometimes poops right besides the litter box but not on it...
