how do you pain man i am really good at pencil drawing but really bad at painting sometime i can't get colour or texture right.

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! SOOO GOOD!!! Master artist! So much easier in Photoshop but its nice to see it done with paint.

The 2x2 under the ruler is there so paint doesn't get under the ruler and look bad. try ruling a line with a paint brush, not easy, that's a very useful trick.

Dura-lar is also a good choice in vinyl (doesn't crack)

Gouache or acrylic can achieve the same look, acrylic is a more durable paint though, really all depends on the artist's preference.

@cynzenga i think because its gouache that would allow you to lay lights over darks
