what happens to all the presents the pope receives from public and state visits and so forth and also what happened too the many presents John Paul 2nd's gifts he received over 20 odd years as pope when he died do they go into the Vatican museum or do certain gifts he received to to his motherland in Poland? plus hadn't the former holy father received numerous wild animals in the past too which were sponsored to be looked after for him for their life timesand what animal were they?
@anthtan the Pope is meeting the Bersaglieri here. They are a corps in the Italian army and are close to the hearts of many Italians. They are famous for their double quick march while sounding trumpets (which you hear in the background) and for their feathered hats. Actually, it's a great symbol of reconciliation between Italy and the Vatican considering that the Bersaglieri were the troops that entered Rome in 1870, thus ending the Papal States and the temporal power of the Pope.
u can tell they are gay. whats up with the funny looking hats ?

@equitemcroce Thank you! Even though, I posed the question 5 months ago, getting the answer now is much appreciated.

@equitemcroce Thank you, I was about to leave an insensitive comment mentioning the Brotherhood of Silly Hats in an attempt to find an answer.
