  • THANKKYOOUUU bout time someone explained the whole toyota scion gt 86 frs thing i was a lil confused, dont get why they wont produce the GT 86 in the US though

  • @ajfreshkid No problem! Yeah I agree. I think Toyota needs a sports car here in the US since the celica and supra are no longer made. I think they messed up by not offering it here.

  • @AutoandTechNews I think the idea behind the marketing of the Toyota 86 in the US under the Scion badge was because the car's class fits under the younger sporty demographic which Scion caters to. The Celica was a more of a touring/sport car rather than a "sports" car and the Supra was a japanese musclecar. The FR-S fits in the Scion badge but i would prefer it was a Toyota Badge nonetheless.

  • @shootzeglass Oh I agree completely. I know why they did it, I just don't agree with it. There are a lot of people that won't consider it because it wears the "Scion" badge. If it was a Toyota though, it would be a different story.

  • @AutoandTechNews I'm just happy they did not remove the 86 badge on the front fenders. I was sold when I saw they kept it. Can't wait for the release. Whiteout FTW!

  • @shootzeglass The FRS has the 86 badge?

  • videos without video are pointless

  • @nodisintigrations When info and photos of this car were released, there weren't videos out. How can I post videos of a car that don't exist? I generally try to bring breaking Automotive and Technology news to YouTube through my videos, and the breaking news is almost always in the form of newly released photos, information, etc. This is the best way I've found to bring that news to YouTube. Do you have any other ideas?

  • Leave it to Toyota. "we cant have any cool cars in the US anymore with our brand on them"

Toyota dosnt have shit for "sports" cars in the US anymore. Even the last Celica's and MR-2/S's were pretty wimpy compared to their predecessors. I honestly thought this car would be their "rebirth" of the Celica, back to its RWD roots. Its seems like a mix between the Corolla AE86, Celica, and Supra (in a sense). Scions are little girl cars, I dont wish to own one. Guess Ill have to give Subaru my money.

  • @Tro1086 Yeah unfortunately Toyota isn't selling it in the US. It's quite unfortunate considering in my opinion it's the best looking of the three. Like you said, the Subaru gets my vote over here.

  • nice car gay color!

  • @mantarayasurf Lol not a big fan of white?

  • @AutoandTechNews no a pearl white on a sport car! love the car but not in a grandpa color!

  • @mantarayasurf Ohhh I gotcha. Idk personally I like the pearl. Guess its just personal preference. You're right though, love the car itself!

  • Hey goes anyone know if the Subaru BRZ is going to be available in the U.S.

  • @iElektriikFlow Yes it will be. Only the GT86 will not be available in the US.

  • @AutoandTechNews Thanks for the info bro...

  • @iElektriikFlow No problem!

  • @AutoandTechNews dude you were totally right about there being no Toyota version in the us. This sucks cuz the scion version looks so much more generic in comparison.

  • @scrubtech87 Yeah but I'm sure it will have a huge accessory market. The Subaru BRZ version has already released an accessory catalog which includes several body parts.

  • I have reading about the gt 86 but I haven't read that it wasn't coming to the u.s. when was this confirmed?

  • @scrubtech87 Since the Toyota GT 86, Subaru BRZ, and Scion FR-S were announced, it's been made public that the Toyota would not be coming to the US.

  • I love your video as you adress issues dealing with the scion lackluster styling. I love this toyota, though I wish they could get rid of the 'Altezza' style rear lights. One major drawback for me is the ridiculous high price of the car, which is estimated to be around 35,000 fully loaded-the price of a 2012 bmw 328i(which is a great alternative to this car)

  • @richie2nice its estimated to be around 35k fully loaded? that does seem pretty high. you can get a well equipped new mustang 5.0 for that.

  • We are not getting the Toyota ? But we r getting the generic version? WTF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thts bullshit I don't want to drive a piece of shit scion I want the real shit fuck this

  • @rsalem1993 They are all basically the same vehicle with just some slight differences between brands.

  • @rsalem1993 :D

  • I have a blue brz ordered. Just as long as i can get the body kit and the quad exaust im good

  • @stickdude217 Nice! I'm sure body kits and a ton of different exhaust options will be available for you.

  • if scion dont have that sporty look like the toyota version im buying the brz

  • @0cBROOKLYNc0 Yeah we'll have to see what's available for the scion.

  • have you noticed that it looks identical to the subaru BRZ, im a big fan of the toyota all the same, good video lad,

  • @cjcarr84 Yeah the GT 86, BRZ, and FR-Z are basically the same vehicle from Toyota, Subaru, and Scion.

  • @AutoandTechNews fr-s lol

  • @SoloPr0ductions FR-S, you're right. I have all of these letters in my head, sometimes it's easy to mix them up lol.

  • @AutoandTechNews lol no problem, it happens :D

  • you didn't say anything about those slotted brakes!

  • @nitroboyn2o Where I got my info didn't mention the brakes, but you're right its obvious with the pics that it has upgraded brakes. Going to add an annotation right now. Thanks!
