this one is naked snake, who after this it will become known as Big Boss, this game is a prequel to all the other mgs games, in the other ones the protagonist was solid snake who is a clone of naked snake

subsistence has a 3rd person camera in the actual "snake eater" game. Besides that it has extra Snake v. Monkey levels, Duel mode (which are boss battles), and metal gear online. I probably missed something.... oh, a theater mode

Towards the end of MGS4 Big Boss admits that he's always been dead in the inside since the day he killed The Boss himself out in the field of flowers where their match took place before the Migs on their planned route were due to bomb the hell out of the vicinity. She was the source of all he ever believed in as a soldier and as a mother figure that raised him.

Well, psychologically, Snake may have been more adept for the missions But note what Big Boss accomplished, and also all the things he survived BEFORE he killed The Boss.

I'll shorten this down for everyone:

Big Boss can ROLL DOWN STAIRS.

Solid Snake FALLS FLAT ON HIS FACE.

And who down-voted me, cause you know I'm right. Granted, we never get to really Snake in his prime.

Metal Gears 1 and 2, for clarification, are what could be considered Snake's "prime", especially Metal Gear 2 since he was a veteran of FOXHOUND by this point. However, being on an early NES development plan didn't warrant much showing-off for Snake's abilities.

By MGS, he is stated to be pretty old and retired. By MGS2, Liquid comments on his aging and "getting too old for the job", while MGS4...well, that goes without saying.

big boss real name is jack. john is a joke he made to paramedic, telling her that his name is john doe (a term used to refer a male corpse whose identity is unknown). in return, paramedic says her name is jane doe =]
