Not that I condone what Romney did, but 30 years ago my dad had me and 2 girlfriends climb in the truck of our car and he sped all over town making sharp turns and we were bouncing back and forth and had the time of our lives. It's just one of several "what was he thinking" moments in my childhood, but I wouldn't change it for anything. My father would be arrested for child abuse if that happened today. I think our society if getting wiser and wiser to "safety" the more this society advances.

So you're saying a dog in a kennel is abusive? I beg to differ, I don't like romney, but I really don't see how this is abusive at all. I see dogs in the back of trucks frequently, thats more unsafe than this. The only dangerous thing is if the kennel falls off, which is very unlikely.

The dog climbed up by itself. 4. If they got into an accident and the dog was in the car, it would have died anyway. As big of an idiot that Romney is, I don't believe he would intentionally harm the dog. Again, you haven't proved how this is abusive and theres nothing wrong with it.

@MOXNEWSd0tCOM He said he wasn't aware of it at the time. I disagree with that law, and I personally wouldn't put my dog in a kennel on top of my car because I want my dog to be more comfortable. Not that putting a dog in a kennel is incredibly uncomfortable, I'd just feel better knowing my dog has more room. Some people don't care, and they put dogs in kennels, which is fine. Placing the kennel on the car securely isn't more dangerous than placing the kennel in the car.

@Needassistance That is a little mean, but I'm sure the dog was fine. My grandpa talked about growing up on a farm with dogs, they'd sleep outside in cold weather in the winter all the time and eat chicken bones frequently. Dogs are great survivors and I think the dog was perfectly fine in the kennel, his actions weren't abusive except for not letting the dog go to the bathroom frequently.
