  • nice video i cant wait untill i get my mino at christmas

  • how come u didnt use the youtube option. isnt that easier?

  • When I tried it didn't make my video HD, it seems the Youtube option compresses it.. BUT I just got an update to the Flip software (it's free) so it might work that way now.

  • yeah. i have a sanyo xacti.. and it claims to be HD but its not thatt great.. seems the flips are better.. so im lookin into on..

i think it may have to do with the editer im using too.. iv been uploading them through an adobe program that has a youtube preset.. any comments? seems like this is working well for you

  • dam.. thats nice

  • when i upload it doesn't say hd

  • I'm coppin this bad boy tommorow.

  • should i buy a flip mino hd or just use my sony ericsson w760a phone to record my videos any suggestions and i need them within the week in order to return the flip mino hd

  • whoa sorry I missed this comment from way back, not sure what happend but I wasn't seeing notifications from YouTube. Anyway it's way too late now so I hope you kept your Mino HD and are enjoying it!

  • ya i kept it and actually have already made some vids on my channel now. check em out if you want

  • If you recored footage then upload straight to youtube, will it automatically make your video HD optional without editing it.

  • Yep, that's what I did.

  • nice cam

  • Nice vid. it's true

but did you notice a loss of quality after using Flip software to make a movie ?

I find it's better when you just trim it, and upload it right away.

  • If you have the Vista Movie Maker, you can make a movie the go to Publish : To My Computer then go to more options and click the one that says 720p (HD)

  • thats intense... do you know if it works with a Mac?

  • Yep, works on Mac or PC. The included software (which is carried IN the Mino itself) also works on both.

  • shweet!... i want one.

  • Thanks for the hint on uploading. Tried your technique and it's much better than using the Flip software.

  • can a windows vista laptop handle HD? Im just wondering if because its HD does that mean that my windows movie maker cant edit it? OR does it come out like any other video life?

  • Stunning quality. I'm hoping to get a MinoHD for christmas.

  • is it just my computer or is this video shaky in HD? it seems to me like it is lagging in the picture

  • The video is shaky... I was shaking while filming it LOL. It was rather cold (and breezy near the water before I walked back to this spot). Not sure about the shakiness being worse in HD version vs non HD though.

  • hey flip, do you have a video that shows the zoom feature?

  • I have the Mino Ultra and the mino HD

I like the ULTRA because it uses two AA batteries. But the HD is smaller and not a problem to carry. I bought the SUNPAK attachment light. If something new or Flip comes out with a new product I'll probably buy it.

Check out my site on UTUBE sorry for the ad.

Peckerwoodtwist. "THE SWING" was done with the HD at home and a desk lamp. Also the new software is a snap to use. Hope this helps. Don't forget you can get discounts.

  • Hey Flip.. I am thinkin of gettin a MinoHD, but in your opinion, is it really worth it to get the HD? I will use it alot, but mostly for fun stuff with my friends. Should i get a Mino Ultra? A regular? Tell me what u think plz.

  • Well let's put it this way: I had a Flip Mino for less than a month and decided to sell it & use the money to buy the HD.

But that's me. I like being able to grab nice stills from the video. I also like having as many pixels as possible within budget for my digital content because I come from a background in print design which needs high resolution.

I said "within budget" which is why I think this camera is a great deal. It's HD without the cost of the bigger bulkier cameras.

  • Got it.. i'm gonna keep saving money up 4 this =D

  • great camera to keep with you at all times to get that once in a lifetime shot...

  • Wow, great tip, thanks Pwntage!

  • add &fmt=22 at the end of the URL and it goes into true 720p and looks much better.

  • Man thats some nice graphics with just a tini camera

  • amen! i love it love it love it! i want one soooo bad. lol
