He wrote it about the land he owned - part of the valley of the River Dudwell near Burwash in East Sussex.

Somebody somewhere must have some film of Peter Bellamy or of the Young tradition! They were never exactly mainstream, but this contribution shows at least that I was not the only person to buy their albums! Thanks for this - Sedayne reminds me of someone I saw at the ICA in 1971, can't remember his name ...
