  • ERES BUENO!!

  • Great cover :)

You should try to get the hihat pedal working while you're on the ride. Always looks more impressive :)

  • @Madz3694 thanks, and yes I do that now pretty much all the time. I think I also have done it somewhere in this video, but I just forget sometimes or dont wanna risk to get distracted and screw up the course of the song

  • @schlafanzyk you did it during the guitar solo. it looked pretty cool

  • whha I play the drums for a while now.. but no matter how hard I try I can´t go so fast... I always go just a little slower...

  • yourr goodd :)

  • youre are like an amazing robot drummer lol

  • look at those WHITE arms!!!!! XD

  • @zenday157 my arms are fairly tan actually, dunno why they look so pale in this video. probably because it was recorded before the the summer. you should see my brother though.. if he takes his shirt off, he literally lights up the room!

  • @schlafanzyk actually that can be true that your arms really are pale. because you notice in the video that when you move your arms in and out of the sunlight, your left arm goes from tan to like WHITE lmao

  • @schlafanzyk You just sound gayer if you get defensive about it.

  • @PunkApostle and i should care about that because....? dont worry my homophobic friend, im pretty sure i can take sounding a little gay sometimes, wait that also sounded gay. anyway, I love sucking cock. what? noooooooo! great, now look what youve done. just one minute ago i was thinking about pussy, but you had to bring it up again...

  • @schlafanzyk Cool story bro.

  • @schlafanzyk dude you must've worn long sleeved shirts for long time..

  • @EvilN00ber oh yes, all the way through puberty.. but i never left my room anyway, was too busy becoming a pro gamer haha, good times. fortunately that also got me back into music and thus playing drums again, learning guitar and piano, writing songs and all that good stuff, which i cant imagine living without these days.

  • @schlafanzyk man you talk a lot, nowadays friendly people like you are becoming RARE.. haha ok. Hey is it hard to learn the drum notes if I haven't got ANY basics at all in music?

  • @EvilN00ber i cant play my drums at the moment, so i this is the best i can do right now. but dont be fooled, i can be a real dick too, but usually not on my own videos. sometimes its necessary though.

i dont recommend notes at all unless you have specific trouble understanding something or need them to remember complicated sequences. just watch, listen and try to imitate. thats how we learn to talk, walk, eat and pretty much do anything as a baby and that worked out pretty well didnt it?

  • @schlafanzyk yeah it did!! ahha, yeah some people really deserve a punch in the face, lol. oh, so if i follow what you told: watch, listen and try to imitate, not even googled tabs are needed??

  • @EvilN00ber you can start with tabs if you feel like it helps you get going, but my experience was that i was too busy thinking about remembering/learning the tabs most of the time instead of actually learning to play. you dont learn to drive with a sheet of instructions next to you either. so i just listened to the songs over and over again until i knew the drums without thinking about them and then its just a matter of training your brain to control your hands and feet accordingly

  • @schlafanzyk haha yeah that driving example makes a lot of sense. thank you very much for the advices :) Tell you what, I'm not sure if any other people have this weird habit like mine, since very young till now, I bite different teeth with other teeth to make different sound (mouth closed) when I'm thinking of a song in my brain, lol, I know, very weird, haha, but just asking for your opinion if THAT is going to at least help a bit when I start to learn the drums? bahaha

  • @EvilN00ber thats funny, i do the exact same thing and i fucked some of my teeth up because i did it so much when i wasnt playing any instrument. its like some kind of stress relief or something, i have a hard time controlling it but i noticed it getting less when i picked up drumming again. not sure if it helped at all, but definitely interesting to see im not the only person who does that.

  • @schlafanzyk high five!! ahah, are you like free to answer questions everytime? if so can i ask if a very simple drum set (maybe a 3-5 piece kit) would be better for a beginner to buy? How did you start off, with all the fancy stuff like double bass pedals haha?

  • @EvilN00ber i usually get bored of answering those questions, because everyone is different and my answers seem very meaningless and general in retrospect. i feel like part of drumming is your own excitement for just trying it without learning everything about it first. get on the bike and prepare to fall of a couple of times but if you care about it, you keep going. my experience was that i especially needed more than 1 crash cymbal to really enjoy playing. never had double pedals though.

  • @schlafanzyk oops sry then, ahha. ok then i'll start with a simple set 1st :) if only my parents allow me to.. hey ur an adult, do you agree with my parents who always yell 'you don't even have time to revise for the coming few most important exams in your life, and if you fail these you won't get a job in the future' so d'you think it's still not too late if i start to learn maybe after few years? but i get very jealous everytime i see 6 yr old kids doing drum covers amazingly.. lol

  • @EvilN00ber its never too late but if youre really into it, nothing will stop you and you will know it. either say fuck it i know what i want and i know i have the talent or listen to your parents if youre not sure yet and make sure you can do something else with your life. you can always pick it up later if you still feel like it but you also wont get anywhere if you keep saying that forever, no matter if its drumming or school/work. your choice, follow your interests and your guts on that.

  • @schlafanzyk haha thanks so much, i guess i'll look for a 2nd hand kit from a friend and after that will try not to do it so much, with control, just like how i do tennis only once a week haha, then if i get a proper nice job in the future then i'll spend more time on it :) thanks for your help. Oh you do dislike tuning? It depends on the amount you play it yeah?

  • @EvilN00ber Tuning can be very frustrating at first, but once you know how to do it, it becomes even more satisfying to get the sound you were looking for. But if you play to music anyway, it doesn't really matter that much as long as you have a good rebound and it doesnt sound completely fucked. Alright, good luck.

  • @schlafanzyk thanks :) i actually learnt quite much from you ahha. And back to the main topic: it's a really awesome cover, love it. bye

  • Chandler is playing drums?? XD

    good cover dude

  • @GoniSierra the guy in friends? haha, never heard that before but if you say so, thanks, i guess.

  • Wow Congraturations :))

  • so good!!! how long hav u been learnin da drums?

  • dude ! what a hell at 1:38 to the 2:07 . aaaaaaaaa love it ! :D

  • well, descent cover

but you play punk music, so why don't you play like a punk drummer. where's the passion and where's the joy?

    but keep up good cover

  • hahaha yah as I said i don't do drummings but hell yeah i would too ;D Well yeah I'm crazy man xD i would learn how to drum that song. i love Deathcore. Seems like youre a Punk fun.

  • the song is easy though. I don't do Drums but try to play Black Dahlia Murder - A Vulgar Picture. you will be the angry german kid after you try it.

  • GOGOGOGOGOOOOOOOO XD VERY NICE..!

  • Your cymbals sound really good. Especially your ride. What kind?

  • awsome

  • awesome dude!

  • wow how long play you drums?

  • boah alter gehst du ab

hab das lied selbst noch ned gespielt aber is ja übel :)

  • awesome!!, I'm learning to do this song by you

  • this has been the best drum cover i ever heard on youtube so far so great job

  • this ounting thing ist good to know. because its a good idea.

but u never did used any other mic than this of the camera it self?

Which songs are uploaded and knew, please inform me.

    And hav you had lessons?

    Kind Regards kai

  • @Kladi168 - Yes, only the camera mic. The new videos are not finished yet. Click on my channel and read the "About Me" section for everything else.

  • Ahh, another thing I'd like to know, for ow long do you play drums and did you got lessons?

  • I don't want to critise, so its just a little tip, i guess, you have al whiping left arm.

But i like youre comment written below mine.

And a qeustion I have too. How didi u recorded it?

    Rock ON

  • @Kladi168 - I'm not sure if I get what you're saying, but my left side has in fact always been weak and I also have a bit of a circulation disfunction in my entire left shoulder/arm, which sometimes also limits my training progress.

I recorded with a standard digital camera and then equalized the audio with Apple Logic Express to make it sound a little less bad. My new videos will have MUCH better audio and video quality.

  • @schlafanzyk

it seems that you get it.

upps sorry, i didn't know that. it was just a thing that catched my eye. but you did quite a lot of videos. and so you worked a lot. normaly you should have but you say you listen to them and find out your self what the drum part is about, so, no you did even more than i'd expected.

  • @schlafanzyk

Do you write the parts down, or how do you do this?

do we go on talkin english, while/even if we both are german?

Why wil the next vidz will be better? New method of recording, new eipment?

  • @Kladi168 - I prefer english in public comments, so others can follow as well.

I memorize the songs automatically while listening, so I don't really need to do anything but try to get my hands and feet to play what I'm thinking of / listening to.

I recently got a better camera, new drums and new cymbals. The video footage will be HD (720p) and is filmed from an overhead view angle (mounted on a ceiling lamp). This also results in a much cleaner sound.

  • @schlafanzyk

This is actually in response to Kladi168's comment, sorry if anyone else gets this in their e-mail bin:

You prefer speaking English so others can follow along:)? That's very considerate of you:)

  • duude how can you play sooo fast.??

  • duude how can you play sooo fast.??

  • nice...

  • Wooooooow:D

  • Sick... that is SICK

  • Kool drums dude

  • hi your really good but could i ask you where you got the sheet music because i cant find it anywhere ????

  • @wkwankers i guess you can find tabs on the internet somewhere, but i usually just figure out what to play by ear, because once you learn to do that, you will never need any kind of sheets again unless the drums are extremely complicated and hard to remember.

  • @schlafanzyk That's The Way Its Supossed to bee ;)

  • the snare sounds really good

  • 好厲害0.0

  • 好厲害0.0

  • 好厲害0.0

  • Wow, awsome. I just have two questions.

What brand are you using for your cymbals and do you play by ear?

  • @Risansado most of my cymbals are zildjian. ride and hihats in this video are from the masterwork troy set, that I still had at the time. but I play zildjian a-custom hihats now and also a better masterwork custom ride.

and yes I play by ear/memory only.

  • @jrfrock yeah i know but i didnt record with the intention of putting it on youtube. i just like to record myself to be able to check out how i played afterwards. this is how i look when im concentrated and i didnt care about anything else going on. but i think people primarily watch this to learn how to play the song and not for entertainment. also remember this was two years ago.. so my playing has changed quite a bit

  • Good job. But you look kind of bored. so it is boring to watch.

  • Ilove you and ilove you drum

  • you say you were sloppy??give us a break dude....you are doing great!! it's awsome! 5 stars!! :D :D :D you rock!!!

  • 5*XD

  • perfekt!!!

  • perfetto (y)

  • I have been drumming for a year and i suck haha, your are the best.

  • try to watch better for your bass hits. It's O.k. but to reach top level every Bassdrumhit should sound the same

  • may be I was a little off beat sometimes, but I like the dynamics of drumming a lot and I really dont want every hit to sound the same. I am not playing to become a studio drummer or whatever your think top level is. I do this because I enjoy it and part of that is not having to play like a robot.

  • sorry I said it wrong. I ment that some bass hits especially if you're playing groups of two the second one is out of time.

And I understand that you're only playing this to have fun with the music. And I just said it as a well meaned review

  • okay, thanks. you may wanna put a few more words in a serious review then, so it actually reads like one and you seem less of a smart ass that way ;)

  • awesome

  • greeaaat

  • very good

  • Perfect sound!

  • You should tighten your snare up a bit but the rest of your kit sounds good

  • excellent!

  • nice :D, you rock dude!!!!

  • perfect =D I love !

  • nice work buddy

  • EPIC JOB MAN!!!

  • great cover man

  • omg is that a paiste signature ride ?

  • whats the headphone for...anyone know

  • 10\10! awesome cover man! keep it up! i'm trying to learn this and i needed to watch a cover to see wat he was hiiting so i can play this song. thnx, and awesome cover!

  • great cover but u look angry or in aginey when u play

  • @SuperAmazingsinger Sheer concentration man, :)

  • holy shit nice !!

  • dude nice cover =D

    everbody got there problems

everbody says the same thing to you

its just a matter of how you solve them

or knowing how to change the things you've been trough lalalala ^^

    love your cover <3

  • 5/5 !!!!great !!! you are very talentet

  • love the cymbals great explosion but ring sounds :)

  • awesom^^

  • 5/5! ;)

  • 9.5/10 ;P <33'

  • dude 6/5

  • Damn.

    Amazing.

    Very Good Job.

  • complimenti veramente bravo

  • are your two crash cymbols a 16 inch and an 18 inch?

  • in this video both crashes i use are 18 inch zildjian. the brighter one on the left is a thin avedis and the darker one is a rock ZBT. to my right is another 16inch crash.

  • nice havent heard this song in awhile

  • Sweet!! Showed Jonah, he loves it! Rock On from Jonah and Co. 5 Stars!

    Cheers, Jonah's Dad.

  • You rock man! GREAT JOB! 5/5

  • Hate you! u have a nice skill

nice video still like this ;)

  • dude u are amazing!!! :)

  • I'm new to drumming, and have just one question. Why do you have various cymbals? I thought the only ones needed were they crash and high hat.

  • everyone can decide for themselves whats needed. hihat and crash are the essentials that pretty much every drummer has but you can add as much cymbals as you want.

if you want a broad variety of possible sounds than you should at least have hihat, ride, two crashes and a china/splash/another crash.

  • So what is the benefit from more cymbals?

  • as I said, you have a bigger range of sounds available if you want them. you dont need them to be or become a good drummer.

  • So overall it will sound close to this if I only use a high hat and crash.

  • i wouldnt say close but similar .. and its tricky. you would have to imitate the sound of a ride cymbal by playing the hihat opened with tip-only or playing the crash with tip-only and move some of the crashing to hihat.

but especially when youre a beginner, you like to hit lots of different things, at least i did. so go ahead and get a decent crashride if you want. i started playing sum41 with this setup, just one less crash, and it was fun ever since i did .

  • So basically it offers an easier way of playing punk rock songs such as this one being the different cymbals offer a sound variety itself. Does this basically mean in order to offer a range each cymbal needs to be set up differently?

  • it is their shape, size, thickness, material and production (hammering technique) that makes the difference in sound.

but basically yes, you do want to set them up slightly different because of the way they are usually played and to minimize wearout. crash cymbals have a bad price/durability-ratio, so you can find a lot of info about setting them up and playing them properly online (google).

  • Well as I study on I see there is a difference between a crash and a ride. Can you explain what it is and why it is commonly mistaken for being either one?

  • are u using an heavy ride? what kind of ride is?

  • the ride was from the masterwork troy series set like my hihat and the crash to my right. I guess it was heavy, because it made barely any crashing noise and felt very heavy. now I sold the set and got a masterwork custom ride and a zildjan a-custom hihat and another avedis crash.

cost me more than 700€ .. crazy

only thing remaining from this whole drum setup is the left zildjian avedis thin crash and my supra phonic snare. i have to get a new video up with my new stuff ..

  • wat kind of hit-hat are he using?

  • in this video i still have the 14" masterwork troy hihats but i upgraded to 14" zildjian a-custom a while ago.

  • Hey du spielst echt gut echt klasse sound

  • Pretty Good !

  • Yeahhh its great !

  • youre really good,, keep it up

  • 2:35 all the way to the end= SO EPIC!

  • luv this cover ... dont have any fancy drums , the main thing is playing in this video ..

  • not bad ;-) . . but his set is really not very special xD . . .

  • sweet drumming man. I love sum 41. Keep it up

  • u rly like sum 41

  • R U playing in a band?? please give other people the chance hear you drumming..!!! best drum cover i've ever seen *_*

  • AMAZING!!

  • hey dude, could u give me some tuning tips? if not thats okay. Thanx dude

  • u rock

  • excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • keep doing sum 41 covers. but you should give blink 182 a try.
