  • Brilliant brought back so many memories saw them at the Heart of the midlands in Nottingham 1979 (now Rock City)

  • Which day of the week is Thue ?

  • I worked on the house that Jim Dooley had built at Clifton near Manchester. I drove the loading shovel.

  • Wow!

Bet you wished it was Ka\thy's place?

  • hi there lovely videos were are the dooleys now? you never see them today, pam

  • Retired dear!

    Glad you enjoyed the vids.

if i can find more pictures - I am planning more Dooleys stuff on here!

  • now this takes me back i was about 15/16 at the time very underated group the dooleys!!

  • thanks tubedougz! this is on my favoritres now. when the dooleys hit the big time punk had just come out most of my mates were into punk but i liked some of the dooleys songs as well but darnt tell them can you imagine the ridicule. but what the heck!!!!

  • You're most welcome!

I know all about ridicule. Not only do I like the Dooleys but I liked Dollar, The Nolans, Bucks Fizz and The Bee Gees!!

Just like Punk, these are songs of and groups of our time. That can't be bad. I wonder what today's kids will be looking back on? I cannot see anything or anybody that's truly iconic - apart from PlayStations perhaps!

Do I sound like an old fart?

  • old fart? me and you both mate i to like doller i remember buying shooting star great track. my favorite nolans track is chemistry and love the bee gees! like you say they are the tracks of our years. and unlike some of todays music will always be played on the airwaves!!! thanks mate keep up the good taste!!!!!

  • What a refreshing comment!

My fave Nolans track was Attention To Me - closely followed by Chemistry actually!

Ooohhhh! I used to get a hard-on whenever they were on Top Of The Pops! Them and Legs & Co. No doubt about my sexuality then?

    LOL!

  • thanks mate . as ive said my fav nolans track is chemistry 2nd fav track attention to me mmmm coleen nolan now were talkin!! and legs and co. what can i say.. you would sit there on thursday night waiting for totp wandering what they would be wereing or not wereing as the case may be!!ah those were the days!! lol!

  • the first song is "honey i'm lost"

  • Nice touch & if you ask me it's "AWESOME."

  • Wow! Thank you. But the Dooleys were (are) pretty good. Better music, better times and those halcyon days. Ahhhhhhhhhh!

  • Our country didnt rely much of whoever it is that on the charts, but ask any person in Manila if they knew "body language" and they will answer you the Dooleys hit complete with dancestep and lyrics. I am serious. The Dooleys' Body language song is part of our history and its still is today.

  • Funny how everyday things in one country become somehow culturally ingrained in another part of the world! Strange.

  • I'm a new 'youTube' user, I joined today (Thurs-03-01-08), The Dooleys were the 2nd act I looked at (1st being Falco as I happend to be listening Amadeus at the time)I was 8 in '76, I had 'the hots' for kathy then & when I look at the pic's/Videos I can see why, so sexy. How I love 70s music. Now to leave the same type of comment about Eve Graham from the New Seekers!!!

  • Thank you for your comment.

Why not check ou some more of my videos. There's another Dooleys montage on offer.

Just click my username to go directly to my channel!

  • Many thanks for posting - These songs were great floor fillers at my discos of the 70s and 80s

  • Wow - do you still have a 70's hairstyle and still do the Smashy & Nicey routine?! HA! My flares no longer fit!

  • Dammit man - I didn't think for one second I would actually KNOW a Dooleys song - I knew all the blasted words!!!!

    The shame, the shame

    ;-D

  • If you check out the very start of the video, you'll see her as she is today....

  • A great band very underated, their music is timeless, Love Of My Life being my favourite, very melodic sound, thanks to the Dooleys the 70s and 80s were great, nice to know their all doing fine in 2007.

  • Thanks!

  • Luv to know what Kathy D looks like these days as she was perfect!!

  • If you check out the very start of the video, you'll see her as she is today....

  • One of the best posting on Youtube, really impressed how you put this together, hats off to you Tube, A++++

  • I am glad you enjoyed this. It took some doing actually! Thanks for you kind comment.

  • Thanks for giving Sony BMG the kick up the arse it needed. I've got this feeling that if I go and buy it, the staff in HMV are going to laugh at me, so I guess I'll have to do it incognito. Mike S.

  • Try Play dot Com! I only paid a fiver for mine!

  • Great! Thanks for posting! The Dooleys really were vastly underrated. Brilliant live musicians. And the first western group to play behind the Iron Curtain!

  • Aw man, Top Of The Pops was so important to us back then. We simply HAD to know who was at number one every week, it was very important to our lives. Nowadays I don't think even the kids really care, we sure don't. The Dooleys are in there with all my other fave 70's memories, like Look-In magazine. Oh, and I agree, Kathy Dooley was a honey.

  • I live in North Wales. The only stereo radio broadcast that we could tune in to over here in the 1980's was RTE 2 FM from Dublin. I used to listen to the Irish Top 30 from 2pm to 5pm every Sunday and then tune into the BBC Top 40 (in mono!) to see what band was where in the charts. Essential to my very existence!

  • what a great posting take a pat on the back my man, absolutely brill mate

  • Glad you enjoyed it sir!

  • The D's were grossly under-rated. Their show featured LIVE musicians & great vocalists (things missing in todays image-obsessed pop). They were pure cabaret which went against them being taken seriously in the music business, but were crowd pleaser. The Dooleys won various awards. After a number of years effort They have a UK "Best Of" cd and Japan release "Singles Collection". All we need now is for them to get back together to perform those classics from 3 decades ago.

  • Thanks for your nice comment. I appreciate comments like yours. I wonder if our friends will ever perform again? It would be nice and I for one would attend the concert!

  • i went to see the dooleys a few times whenever they came to teesside absolutely brilliant
