i think When Kotipelto and Mitchells (i hope it write like this) Tolkki left the band , and gave the band to kotipelto and the others. I don'tremember but i think that Tolkki also had problems with alcohol.

Tolkki left the band because of problems on music with the other members and he disbanded Stratovarius. But Kotipelto and the other members wanted to continue , so Tolkki gave 'em the right s of the name and founded Revolution Renaissance.

Problems between Tolkki and Stratovarius has always been on the music side. Tolkki has his depressive period when his father died , before the release of "Stratovarius" , the last album ( 2005 ) before the reunion without Tolkki.
