you're a great musician too! congrats!!!

    ANdre

  • If you want one for your computer, then I heartily recommend the GS201 Tape Echo by GSI software.

It only costs 20 Euros but is modeled from a real unit and sounds great. GSI make some excellent plugins and the tape Echo is one of em.

  • have you tryed the electro harmonix deluxe memory man? I would think that one is even better

  • Great job, thank you for sharing!

  • A great review! Really good job!

  • Delay is this....this....thi...th,,,s

    and

    Reverb is reveeeeeeeeeeeerb!

    Great explain :D

  • Was this before Bobbe's accident with table saw? Great job my friend, Kenny Clark

  • What was it Jim Campilongo said about most Steel players being able to play rings around guitar players.....

Great review, great advice, nice work!

  • Bobbe you sound so good, there's nothing better than a pro like you playing an old push pull through a Peavey, Boss should pay you a commission for how good you made that pedal sound... thanks for the demo!

  • hot damn!

  • Hey everyone! Maybe someone can help me out..I want to recreate some Syd Barrett era Pink Floyd psychedelia and I am a huge HUGE fan of Syd Barrett especially..does anyone know what Echo pedal would be good for Early Syd Barrett Pink Floyd and where I could find one??

Great video by the way!!! :)

  • If you're a Pink floyd fan like me I would say that this is THE effekt pedal to get. It lets you experiment alot and you'll never get tired of it, you can also get som late Pink floyd sounds like David gilmour.

But this is the pedal for you if you like to experiment with spacy sounds and delays, this is even better than the DD-20, I have one and I'm more than happy!

  • that was the best review i ever saw !

  • What people dont understand about this pedal is that it is not by any means an orginal tape delay. It has tape simulation, which is Great. Also the tap tempo is awesome. This is good on both guitar and synth to get good ambient sweeps and effects. The reverb isnt suppose to be amazing, just added to the pedal. This is amazing for Ambient, Experimental, and Space Jazz Music. I would reccomend it to anyone looking for one.

  • this type of playing is rare now days.....people should play like this often

  • the secret to this pedal is not to think of it as the "Roland Re 201 Space Echo" in pedal form BUT to think of it as regular delay pedal with a few extra tricks.

  • i like this demo but you didnt show what happens when you you hold down the tap tempo pedal it gives you this real interesting sound hard to describe but good vid

  • to: IamsillyyesIam, the space echo is more than some prtoplayers need or want. The DD-3 can fill the bill for some folks for a bit less money, this is why I demo both. Thank you very much for your comment, Bobbe

  • Why did Boss make this pedal? Metaphorically, its like pissing on the Roland RE-201's grave. They sound nothing like each other. Just because you stick a reverb and echo together give you a Space Echo. No matter how much you paint it up to look like it.

IF YOU WANT A SPACE ECHO, SAVE UP AND GET ONE DON'T THINK YOU ARE SAVING ANY CASH BY GETTING A TACKY DIGITAL PEDAL!

  • I think it sounds pretty good. Granted, a real RE-201 would be way cooler, but with the RE-20, you don't have to worry about the tape or anything like that. It's not perfect, but I'm a fan.

  • Wow, for the first half of the video I didn't know he was talking about lap steel........ honky

  • His explanation of reverb is uncanny. I knew straight away what he was talking about!!

  • awesome

  • Beautiful work. Thanks for sharing the RE-20 and your playing with us. I watched multiple times.

  • Great job!! I have to pick that sucker up. Been using the RV-3 religiously since 1999, finally braking on me about a week ago. This will be a great replacement.

  • This is the best demo I have seen of this pedal. Playing sounds beautiful.

  • Whoa,

never thought a steel guitar can sound that cool. So does the RE-20.

    Great video. Thanx a lot.

  • Gotta learn to play a steel guitar someday. Amazing things you can do with it.

  • Thanks for the video. Really enjoyed it! - Mick

  • I'm not sure about the Boss pedal, but the RE-201's tone controls only control the tone of the echo, not the reverb. I think the reverb is after the echo in the signal chain. Nice fingerpicking too, I play a roundneck dobro but not good enough to post a video. :)
