  • she needs to tie her hair back.

  • My girlfriend dosen like it

  • ADD SOME DRAGONS-TAIL TO THE WITCH POT LADY

  • Lol, 3 HOURS?! No wonder the bolognese looked burnt at the end! You can tell by the noise when she sticks the wooden spoon in to try and stir it!

  • 3 hours cooking! LOL i am Italian we never cook bolognese for 3 or 2 hours--well -what u do expect from a Brit they dont know how to cook LOL--milk is optional- always--and its no considered true Italian to use it--her sauce was like a pile of Sh...t -

  • Even the Accademia Italiana della Cucina said for their 1982 official Bolognaise recipe that milk should be used

  • @GrizzlyRecoveryZone1 Milk makes the sauce so smooth and is a must for a true bolognese sauce! Milk and slow cooking for at least 4-5 hours blends all the flavours and you end up with a silky rich sauce which is to die for!

  • Ma è possibile che gli stranieri rovinano tutte le ricette italiane, il latte nel ragù!!! ma è da pazzi. Signora legati i capelli quando cucini.

  • fuzzy wuzzy was a bear, fuzzy wuzzy had too much hair!

  • Love her! I wish the Food Network in the states would air her shows. They relegated Nigella to once a week and have Giada and Rachael Ray on 24/7. TDL is so different. She is fabulous.

  • @ncbotfish

I wish the states would air or at least start a "River Cottage" to show everyone how they can raise their own chickens and have an organic garden. For some reason HGTV which has Garden in it's tile has like 1% of it's programming for gardening. I stopped watching because I got sick of watching rich people buy second homes and gay guys renovate houses for stupid straight women.

  • Good recipe very authentic

  • She looks like an evil witch!!

  • LOL I was gonna say the same thing, the vid's good I liked it but I think next time she's gotta tie her hair up that jus ruined it for me :s

  • The milk can seem a little bit odd, but it is actually working amazingly ( I've tried it ). And I love her Kitchen Bible, this is a very useful Book.

  • instead of milk you can use normal or demerera sugar to loose the acidic tastes of the tomatoes!

    but milk it o.k

  • Milk???? for the bolognese sauce???? oh my god!

  • @nit1374 traditional Italian ragu does have full fat milk and white wine, not red wine. It seems strange but you need to reduce them down for a long time, until the juice is almost gone, but it is delicious!! You should try it!! The longer the sauce is cooked the better! Within reason, obviously, I wouldn`t cook it for longer than 4/5 hours.

  • white wine???????

  • i really want to put a straitjacket on her hair! i bet her foods full of it!

  • what veg???

  • 1part celery 1 part carrots 2 parts onion, it's called a soffrito or mirepoix

  • the veg she put in! duh

  • milk? what does that do to it? a creamy texture? wouldnt cream be better

  • It takes away the acidity of the tinned tomatoes

  • she tells you what its for!

  • I've seen Italian chefs using milk in their recipes many times and this is her summer chalet...

  • It's not her summer chalet , it's her old house

  • is that her house? i thought it was but then i figured she would have a slightly better cooker! that looks like the crappy cookers they have in council houses

  • It 's her old house , she's moved now and has a big green range cooker

  • that was rather a lot of salt! and chop the tomatoes in the pot? why doesnt she just buy chopped tomatoes? theyre the same price!

  • alot of times chopped tomatoes are a diff type of tomato to the canned peeled plum tomatoes and are usually just labeled chopped tomatoes (no plum)... u will see a difference in the color... the plum tomatoes will be a deeper red and richer.. so yeah really the difference is the type of tomato.. if u go to italy you will see pretty much the only tomatoes they sell are plum tomatoes.. so even though you have to chop them yourself they are the better option.. hope this answers your question.. :)

  • ah i see! i probably still wont use them cuz if i have to chop tomatoes id rather just get fresh plum tomatoes. thanks for pointing that out though, i never would have noticed that

  • its a conspiracy - she isnt really a cook and shes trying to undermine western society

  • Milk + Red bloody meat... bahh... don't care if it's tasty, the idea doesen't sit well. - But more importantly - This women needs to learn how to crack a smile once in a while!! (-;

  • this looks disgusting.

    milk ffs

  • Ye, and it was scary how they shown the same clip of the milk pouring twice. made it look like she put a tonne of the stuff in.

Most thing this woman cocks she doe something strange with . she's very "country"

Although . next time i do this . i mite try to sneak some milk in . see what happens . haha.

  • Aaaaaaaargghhhh!!!! What does it mean THE MILK???? It doesn't have sense....People, DON'T put milk in the Bolognese Ragù, i'm from Bologna, Italy and this is NOT the true recipe of the Ragù sauce...

  • what recipe would you use?

    MILK!

  • she didnt say its the TRUE recipe of ragu sauce! theres not one specific recipe for anything, imagine if there was and everybody cooked their food EXACTLY the same! THAT WOULD SUCK! youd be bored of food by the time you were like 10!
