I'm Brazilian and have nothing against the English PEOPLE, but ALL against their police and media. When Jean Charles was killed for nothing, the English journalists made a report about the corruption in Brazilian police. Yes, there is corruption here, but it doesn't change the fact that their famous Interpol killed an innocent man. They're too arrogant to admit their police made an awful mistake and make reports against us to take attention away from them. Disgusting.
i just cant understand why the killers, the real terrorists of that day, didnt even go to court. The British Police just paid a mediocre amount of money and the case closed. What about the cops that killed Jean? And what about those irresponsible policemen that planned the whole operation? Theyr free! Why? Is that justice? Is that the best police in the world? Cmon! British and Brazilian people r not stupid.
@RBaroli The people responsible are the officers who gave the wrong information to the command team. The officers who pulled the trigger did the right thing. It was a tragic circumstance and this guy didn't deserve to die, but you're pointing the finger at the wrong people. If the intel was right, and he was a terrorist, the police would be heroes. Technically, it's a lawful killing as far as the firearms officers are concerned. They did nothing wrong, punish the intel officers, not the shooters
@007RoyalFlush So it's ok that the shooters didn't know they were killing the right or wrong guy!? Didnt they have to make sure who they were about to kill before they do so!? That operation was a total failure. Fact.
@RBaroli Exactly right. The Officers were given a target. Wasting time double-checking information before pulling the trigger in those circumstances is dangerous, they had the target confirmed anyway so it wouldn't have made a difference, as far as they were concerned at the time, they had 100% certainty on the target. I agree the whole operation was a failure, but it was not the fault of the firearms officers.
@007RoyalFlush Ok, maybe you are right, but try to understand my side... when i see things like this it makes me sick, it's disgusting and sometimes my comments are moved by emotion rather then by reason, i admit. They don't teach you to shoot seven times in the head. They teach you to shoot once in the head if there's a known immediate threat from that person.
That trigger happy pig sneaked up on him unsuspectedly, and decided to unload 7 shots into his head, and shoulder. Are terrorists somewhat superhuman and need 7 shots to the head? Really?
"Just doing his job" doesn't wash with me or any other sane person. It didn't work with the Nazis so it shouldn't work with him.
I really hope the Police Officer that killed Jean gets fired eventually and is living in severe guilt for the rest of his life.
What is brave about mistaking a Brazilian man for a Middle Eastern extremist? What is BRAVE about shooting him in the head SEVEN times?
The Police Officer was clearly a trigger-happy lunatic who was BEGGING for an opportunity to kill someone with all that firearms training he got. The Police should've filtered him out as soon as he applied to be a Firearms Officer
Actually, they were'nt 'heroes' because, long before they got there, there were two other policemen who had followed Jean Charles onto the tube. One was sat next to him and one just behind and to the side of him. (Actually, they could have arrested him ..but did'nt!) Also on the train were lots of innocent people who could have been killed or injured by these mad police executioners who did'nt give a toss about everyone around them......just themselves!!
Yet another shooting of an innocent after which they only have to say.... "I 'believed' myself, or the public, were in danger".

Are you, or, are you related to one of the executioners!?
Mark beyond your sense of justice wich i really appreciate and i belive all brazilians agree with me your artistc talent make this sad event became beatifull song! Thanks from all of us here im Brazil!
Brazilian Police is corrupt, all right, but justify an act of brutality with another wrong action isnt an argument for me. Letting the police free of charge like this and giving each day more power to them, as is happening so frequently nowadays in Europe, will led us to a state of siege. Everyone that commits a crime (either the so called terrorist or the police) must be punished.
I look at other countries like the Middle East & weight things up. I always end up appreciating where I live & so do they. LOL that's why their trying to get here on mass.
Anyone who thinks those cops deliberately targeted an innocent man are beyond ignorant...
( 2 of 5) member of society can voice opinions etc. into how their country should be run. This will make it more transparent and a means also to prevent corruption at all cost! Then and only then can there be a true democracy were human rights can be protected and not abused as it is at this present moment in time.
( 3 of 5) Moving on....You refuse to acknowledge that my thoughts on the white britz are not "Luciferians" by nature. I already explained to you why my beliefs still hold including been a victim myself through crimes which have been perpetrate by certain members of society and the state, these are extremely serious in nature. All of which were committed by white individuals apart from one particular case. Basically 99% of crimes committed against me have been by white britz in this country.
( 4 of 5) "Demons" is something I can safely say these "so called" people are, what's also disturbing is that up to date I have not received any justice. So before you criticise people, you must first make sure you know what you are talking about or at least try & understand if there is a meaningful reason why they (people in general) comment or make a statement which may offend you. So every time I see some like Jean Charles a victim of a extremely
( 5 of 5) violent death, in what you say is a democratic run country and criticise other countries for lack of human rights, in this case Brazil, I know this is a problem there but you got to understand that the UK publicises itself as been a democracy and respects human rights, if you believe this, then you are clearly deluding yourself from reality. Anyway I hope this may have been some use to you & shared some light into this conversation peace! R.I.P JCDM, Heaven houses only the good..
What I am saying is that there are problems all over the world my friend. Again, to say an entire nation is wicked becuase of the actions of a few is ridiculous.
Justice? There's is injustice all over the world. I could wright an essay on the subject if you wish :)
They were sent down the tube at Stockwell to do a 'stop and search'!. Why it changed to 'execution' as they got closer to the tubetrain....... ONLY the executioners know!.
(1 of 5) I don't think the world wants to migrate to the UK (as you say) most folks want to remain in their place of birth. The problem is that this world is governed by the ultimate of all criminals which are the "Elite". These are the shadow governments that no one sees but are clearly running the show. What people should do is to eradicate their corrupt governments and in place govern themselves through a council style body which every
I can run through countless attricities by most nations if you wish me too, past ^ present.
What makes me laugh at people like you is your full of criticism against the establishment (which I can understand) although you cannot put any alternative ideas as to how our societies should function.
Are you saying we should have no governemnt?, no rule of law?
(Part 1 of 2) Why did the police get away with murder..the answer here is a simple one, the Labour Party new laws which have over the past 11 years armed the police to the teeth with over 3000 new laws. Each a nail on the coffin on democracy. Why did the police get away with murder & lie at court is because they can! They have the backing of the government! & not forgetting making this country into a police state and fighting wars in the middle east which incidentally are all "Illegal Wars",
You fail to understand that people like Charles and many others come to the UK to escape the sadism that goes on in their own country. LOL you even live here yourself and enjoy the freedoms that we enjoy.
How ignorant does one have to be in order to blame an entire race for one action?
It's like me saying that all blacks are drug dealers & rapists.
(2 of 3) exterminating the indigenous population in the process, then the slave trade that followed causing more hardship to other cultures to satisfy the British in North America & England through slave labour(and this is not wicked?). You need to examine the entire history of your country otherwise youre going to believe that England is actually "Great" Britain. The question is whats great about it? Because is NOT freedom or justice, which incidentally, Jean Charles failed to get during and
(1 of 3) Youre telling me to get some education? I am pretty well educated but thanks for that empty gesture. You say England is a free run country? No doubt you also believe it has a free democracy? I dont know how old you are or how long you been here but you clearly dont know what you are talking about?? This country is one of the most oppressive nations on earth and not forgetting a police state. I recall not long ago when England invaded North America to the point of nearly
(3 of 3) after his murder. Is hard to call this country free when you are watched 24/7 and let us not forget that the government dont often play by the rules but then again all governments are corrupt, some more than others, including the Brazilian gov. (they all look after no.1). Anyway I hope this may have answered some of your criticism and cast away the shadows from your ignorance.
Like you say, there is no such thing as 100% democracy.
My criticism of you lies in the fact that you stated in your previous comments how we (UK) are all evil because of the actions of the rich elite - that is ignorant.
Also, I was having ago becuase the whole world has it's evil, not just the UK.
The fact remains you can walk down a street here without dissapearing like in many countries...
(Part 2 of 2) but then again the British, since the dawn of time, always broken the rules of life by committing human rights abuses globally. Jean Charles de Menedez is only one of millions of victims throughout history, which have been the victims of an aggressive and wicked race of demons which incidentally is the white race!! History is a testament to this very fact.. incidentally those in charged within the police department were promoted shortly after (who said that crime dont pay?).
Hey Paul, your a very tallented man,im sure a lot of people are missing the fact that we have a new singer song writer on the seen, ive heard a song you wrote called Anyones Parade, very moving, ave you any other music out there youd like to share with us??
Cellah1502 you´re absolutely right! We are all humans and shouldn´t be attacking each other like fools. There is injustice all around the world and these feelings only feed prejudice. Let´s Unite!
Cellah1502, voce está completamente certa! Somos todos humanos e não deveríamos estar nos atacando como idiotas. Há injustiça no mundo inteiro e esses sentimentos apenas alimentam o preconceito. Vamos nos unir!

Calm down you moron, I'm from Brazil mate. Where the police shoot down kids for no reason, they made a mistake. I love Brazil, but British tourists are mugged, stabbed and shot daily. So don't get high and mighty, just be in mutual respect with us that an innocent man lost his life.

para de falar merda rapa, british tourist are shot daily, vai tomar no teu cu, me fala um tourist ingles que foi morto, esfaqueado or asaltado recentemente no brazil
i believe he was killed because i saw something going on, on the underground, days before the bombs went off. he probably saw mi5 agents planting something he thought was suspicious and he was killed to keep quite.
Because "brave" doesn't include stupid pseudo-hero who kills a man because he is carrying a bag. You can't call that a brave man, that's a murderer. I don't care if he was fearless, it's not a chield of yours who got shot.
That's no brave, that's stupidity. He killed an innocent man, period. You can't argue with that, he should have checked it, he should have tought about it.
But the cop who pulled the trigger was not a hero, was coward because this man was unarmed. He had no way to defense himself. The police first shot him then checked if he was the terrorist. There's no heroness in such act.
Of course the cops were brave you idiot. They ran after someone they believed was about to blow himself and everyone else up, including them. They made a mistake but are definately not cowards.
I'm brazilian, I speak 4 languages and I've been to many european countries in the past 4 years, but I did not go to England 'cos I don't trust the security measures they take. I would feel more safe walking in the worst areas of Berlin or Amsterdam than getting in a british subway to be mistaken by a terrorist as they did to Jean Charles. People want justice!
I am brazilian as well and I speak 3 languages. I am currently living in the USA and I have to say that up to the point of De Menezes' death I had never completely judged and generalized an entire country...
I can only say I feel anger when I think about this and the sad end of his life...
and yes, I understand it is wrong to think about it this way, but it is very hard when you can clearly see how the case was handled by the entire legal system.
If what you say is true then why didn't they stop him before he got on the train? Why risk letting him detonate a bomb (which they were sure he had, right?) on the train?
Lack of communication was the main reason to be honest. Plus a bit of police mess up! (What a shambles) We aren't used to that type of panic! (Why shouldn't we?) Look what it was like when we had a bit of snow! It was like england locked down! Things need to change to prevent anything else happening like this! England needs to start thinging about themselves instead of other countries. Hint Hint! Plus the main thing is that an inocent man died and he shouldn't have!
I've NOT been talking about the firearms officers. I just think the negligence higher up in the way the op was organised could amount to manslaughter, even though it is a somewhat shaky case.
OK, a charge of murder would not stand in any court, because there was no evil motive in the shooters - so manslaughter. What makes you so sure Noad is a republican? And so what - even if he were self-righteous, doesn't logically make his point invalid. Mistakes MUST be criticised. The police MUST try to improve their operational accuracy etc, don't you think?
I think your attitude deeply unpatriotic. Wishing to avoid responsibility for mistakes plays into the hands of our enemies. Self-critcism is a high form of loving one's country, and is the only way we can improve and keep our standards. Things like the Amritsar massacre, Bloody Sunday, and Jean-Charles are only swept under the carpet by moral cowards. Don't be one of them.
Good effort; difficult subject, but I have to take issue with the contradiction in the lyrics. "The police were convinced they had their man" and "the police get away with murder". If they were convinced, it can only be manslaughter - but it's a song, and words have to fit in the lines, I know!
It's horrific how he would of felt! To be made a suspect because of continuous faults made by the police. He didn't know what was happening what so ever then he was murdered! RIP Jean Charles De Menezes, a life that shouldn't of been taken!
You're right about everything, except "murder". It could only be "manslaughter"; please use the correct word, it's a big difference, morally and legally.
Sorry, you're wrong. Being a legal UK citizen does NOT protect you from being mistakenly shot by police: it has happened before. Also, it was unclear at first if he was legal, but it has been proved now that he WAS LEGAL. Want to know why?
shooting someone 8 times, stopping halfway to sort his gun, no shouting police, is cold blooded murder,no justic for jean rip, murderd by trigger happy retard cops.
The murder of this man was horrific and totally uncalled for. To shoot someone in the head once is all it takes, to shoot that many times is a mark of the sadism that is present in the police force of today.
That is called job satisfaction.
Shame and disgrace brought on the British people brought about by the British police.
762SLR762 thinks that the story of a brazilian student getting murdered by incompetent police is irish republicanism. Bet you were the top of your fucking class. idiot
This young lad should have been stopped right outside his flat, told to strip then checked. Not let on a busy bus then onto a busy train. He was killed by criminally incompetent police. He was dead the moment he closed his door. UNLAWFUL DEATH.
jackakapoopoo whatever stupid name you call yourself. You are prick. So you think it was a good idea to jump on a guy carrying a bomb on a crowded train, then shoot him. You must be one of those stupid coppers yourself. You can challenge a man from a hundred yards if you are plainly a police marksman. Dont reply till you know what you are saying jackass. By the way your reply, what the fuck was the last bit again braindead.
Paul I can't believe you haven't been signed. with songwriting talent like that it's a crying shame. I hear you have other songs as well looking forward to hearing them. Keep up the good work.
The Irish know the evil of the British politicians and their ilk, in the corrupt police force, and there own POLICE terrorist nature.
This is a great Irish tribute song, along with the sympathy of the Irish people who know only to well what it is like to lose a loved one, to the evil British forces.
I live in Ireland. You are so right. Just don't forget that it is the very nature of EVERY army and police force - i.e. of those who support big business - to be used to perpetrate injustice. Look at the "survival" website, and see how governments are killing people and environment all over the world. You can also make a difference by writing protest letters, really: check it out!

( 2 of 5) member of society can voice opinions etc. into how their country should be run. This will make it more transparent and a means also to prevent corruption at all cost! Then and only then can there be a true democracy were human rights can be protected and not abused as it is at this present moment in time.

( 4 of 5) "Demons" is something I can safely say these "so called" people are, what's also disturbing is that up to date I have not received any justice.

If what you say is true then why didn't they stop him before he got on the train? Why risk letting him detonate a bomb (which they were sure he had, right?) on the train?

Huh?? I guess we weren't using the same dictionary when we looked up the word "bravery".
bbpurdygurl 2 years ago

PeterOzanne 2 years ago
Yes, I agree that standards in Britain are high. All I'm saying is, that's not a good reason to rest on our laurels!
PeterOzanne 2 years ago
OK, a charge of murder would not stand in any court, because there was no evil motive in the shooters - so manslaughter. What makes you so sure Noad is a republican? And so what - even if he were self-righteous, doesn't logically make his point invalid. Mistakes MUST be criticised. The police MUST try to improve their operational accuracy etc, don't you think?
PeterOzanne 2 years ago
I think your attitude deeply unpatriotic. Wishing to avoid responsibility for mistakes plays into the hands of our enemies. Self-critcism is a high form of loving one's country, and is the only way we can improve and keep our standards. Things like the Amritsar massacre, Bloody Sunday, and Jean-Charles are only swept under the carpet by moral cowards. Don't be one of them.
PeterOzanne 2 years ago
Good effort; difficult subject, but I have to take issue with the contradiction in the lyrics. "The police were convinced they had their man" and "the police get away with murder". If they were convinced, it can only be manslaughter - but it's a song, and words have to fit in the lines, I know!
