I think the moral is,even a simple thing may have a deep story behind it, example, a normal person that died, the only thing that they may think of that person is his "normal and tall, old" ect, that they don't know that, the person they are looking at was a millionaire that wanted to have a simple normal life..... well... it can also mean like this, a person can have or even hide a secret that cannot be discovered until the end..................... =P......... (sorry for the bad english).

I like animated shorts that tell stories. This one did not have a story. It was just a bunch of nonsense spliced together. Like the animator wanted to practice making a bird and a leaf and waves etc. but could not think of a logical way to make a story including all those things.

I thought it was very beautiful. The interesting part is the beauty of the leaf will be appreciated by future generations, if saved, who admire it for its simple color, shape, whatever even if the generations before them learned nothing from the newspaper or the woman, etc. Nature, often, is truly more sensational than even sensational journalism or people to, oddly enough, people. I would submit it is a perspective and "civilized" "humanity" learning curve problem. Awesome existentialism.

2:55 a red leaf, I still don’t know what it represents (the woman?). 3:05 the leaf lands on the newspaper and it closes. The newspaper closing means that this chapter is closed, and the red leaf means that the chapter FOR the woman is closed, and finished. In that scene the woman is gone, which gives more support to what I said before, about the woman dying.

1:12 an empty box, probably as her life, the woman might commit suicide. 1:22 The woman "drowned" because of the big choice that fell into her hands (I can't understand why she's smiling). 1:52 someone grabs her and pick her up, as in help her choose. 2:17 by then the woman is dead, because the man was too late. As the red bird (idk why it is red), the woman is free, and the empty box has something in it, so not only she is free but she got herself together and now she is better.

My thoughts about this short animation:

0:20 a woman on a bench reading a newspaper, to try and forget for a second that there is no heavy burden on her (the choice). 0:42 like the calm music, the sea is too as well, and her mind is distracted. 0:44 the music starts kicking in and the sea is raging, the woman's mind isn't distracted anymore, and her mind is raging as the sea. 1:03 a black bird, possibly a crow, but I didn't understand what does this mean/what does the crow represents.

basically the woman on the bench was reading most probably a story about a woman who committed suicide. Then we see the woman in the water, she stays in there and doesn't struggle. we see her eventually die. when she takes a peek and sees a guy lifting her up, that was her possibly taking her last breath and her soul was leaving her body. the animator tries to go by the religion / myth that tells of dead people who then go on to become animals or insects etc.

Moral of the story: If you sit on a bench and look at a picture in a newspaper, then black waves will float around an turn into an eagle, and when you look at the eagle, you see a treasure chest, and when you look in that treasure chest you somehow get dropped into an ocean where your hair flows dramatically before a magical man saves you and takes you to space where he ditches you and you turn into a bird and fly to a treasure chest, where you fall inside and die as a leaf stuck in newspaper

This video was really cool! I really like how the music dramatizes the animation. I find that quite better than some of the other animations where the talking for the characters doesn't fit their looks at all. I like how this video stands out and is just an amazing animation.

I think...though I am just guessing...the main character is contemplating suicide. The boxes are coffins. The water is her preferred method--drowning. The boy is either a civilian trying to save her or the Angel of Death. She rises into Heaven as a bird, symbolic of an angel, and then settles at last into her coffin. When we see the reality and her newspaper is closing on the leaf, it means she went through with her choice and killed herself in the river. Am I right?

Why do the TV generation and Hollywood victims need everything to be spelled out so slowly and clearly?

Listen, a story that is not so easy to understand is BETTER, because it makes you think; it forces you to reach for the bright idea and bring it down from the top shelf where it belongs. It makes you work hard to earn it for yourself, rather than just being served it like a spoiled child who only complains that they don't understand why they have to go to bed so early. 1.) job=identity=flight
