Took cover behind a monument to check my VISR only to see and entire fucking platoon of covies barreling down the street with no agles of undetected escape. They had an Engineer, Jackal Snipers, Brutes and Grunts. Nowhere to go, I just hid in in the shade of that monument and praying to Almighty God that they would just continue their patrol and not bother to check that I was right amongst them. THAT was scary but I sneaked by

@SinDawg030 call me presumptuous, but i didn't find legendary to be a challenge in the halo 2 sense. this game should've been near impossible on legendary unless you were god on a good day, if only to encourage the whole sneaky thing.
plus the whole "stamina" thing just sort of killed that note. if they'd done away with staminia (and had you about four hit kill tops on heroic) to encourage the whole sneaky thing. even that much would've made this game twice as good
@Thedeoradude I wouldn't know. I never played Halo 2 on Legendary although I hear that the Jackal Snipers were a fucking nightmare back then. As for the whole "shortness" of ODST, Bungie could have done a better job but they did a pretty good job considering that they were also working on Reach at the time and the team was divided between the two games.

I wouldn't mind a full game about being an ODST on some abandoned UNSC ship that has gone dark (Dead Space esque) and trying to find out what happened with a heavy emphasis on using the mounted flashlight on the SMG, Shotgun and Assault Rifle to clear it room by room only to find a Flood Infestation. It would have to be really claustraphobic, the ship would have to be fully accessible and a single Infection Form = GAME OVER MAN because ODST's don't have MJOLNIR armour

The reason the Covie's raped the UNSC so badly was because they could bend over the UNSC navy and sodomize it ten different ways before glassing the fuck out of a human planet. A game like that would be extremely hard to the point of being not fun because Covie ships are bad news for UNSC ships.

For me, ODST was about worth it at $60 because it has the multiplayer disk with all the Halo 3 maps, and I had not purchased any map packs. Campaign was a bit underwhelming, but Marty never disappoints.

@KevinTheHaloNoob hey I know where ur comin from, the game needed more 'omph' in it because I honestly felt like it was more of a dlc than a game. (ex no matchmaking) BUT it did have an amazing story and wonderful music, and the atmosphere those two aspects created was almost entrancing, as if it blocked out the real world and pulled you into the surreal environment of new mombasa while you played.

i love the stealthy parts of the game....and when you fire yeah every covenant will see and fire back at you...but i found out that if you run and hide again a grunt (i think its called) will say "hes gone for cover find him".....when he says that you'll be in stealth mode again
I loved Halo 1's soundtrack because it was epic... It fit the idea of being stuck on an unknown world with no-one but the marines that came with you... But the streets music for ODST is epic in another sort of way, its got the same effect as 1 which makes you feel like ur alone... But its more emotional... Its awsome

The assasinations look beast, even jetpacks and sprinting ( finally ). All i am going to do is shoot with a DMR and assasinate people in that game. Wonder what the soundtrack is going to be like? Probably beast like all Halo soundtracks.

and all in all, ODST just seemed like a test bed for reach with the charicterisation and health and so on. all in all. good game, just misguided.

I loved Halo 1's soundtrack because it was epic... It fit the idea of being stuck on an unknown world with no-one but the marines that came with you... But the streets music for ODST is epic in another sort of way, its got the same effect as 1 which makes you feel like ur alone... But its more emotional... Its awsome

Remember what Bungies employees said before ODST came out ? In this "new world " where everything is just dark, alone . Seriously , people that said ODST isn't a sequel, they can go eat brix. ODST is trully a game, and its awesome.

I usually just played the game not paying attention, but one time I was helping my friend with the campaign and this song played and I just heard a second of it and I was amazed and just told him to stop and listen. It is amazing.

the beginning part should only be played becuase the rookie's story and levels are sad and sorrowful. he was separated from everyone he knew for pete's sake. and plus his levels are only at night. so this fits the levels

The assasinations look beast, even jetpacks and sprinting ( finally ). All i am going to do is shoot with a DMR and assasinate people in that game. Wonder what the soundtrack is going to be like? Probably beast like all Halo soundtracks.
