  • Your totally right woman!I used that way when studying and memorizing without knowing its actually the right way to do it and not forget ! :)

  • whatever according to my balls i have not gone through puberty

  • An amazing insight there into the greatest

Minds of the greatest race on earth really "well elephants have 6 appendages"

Although the problem with me is that if i had to remember that i would probablu forget why i came to the shops :)

  • is she on something?

  • Video Summary: Elefant, Six Epandages, Pink

And thats how you remember E6

    LMFAO HAHAHAHAHAHAAA

  • @EliteToonZ That's just an example though. It does work, try it with shopping lists etc.

  • hey that's a good tip . but i guess we have to practice that day in day out to keep getting better and faster at it. i have a friend who makes awesome stories out of boring stuff like drugs and their pharmacological properties and spectrums , and she remembers them all at the end of the day ! it's amazing ! she even helped me and am happy to say it was a huge help in the finals!! ;) i hope i can improve my memory.

  • i can't remember what she just said

  • I forgot what they were talking about already. Dang. I need to find a video to help me learn how to improve my mormy, emory. Dang it, Can't spell !

  • ????

  • the funniest thing happend...um......forgot SHIT !!

  • Mnemonic devices? i was expecting something less conventional.

  • LIKE THIS IF YOU CLICKED ON THIS VIDEO BECAUSE OF THE ASIAN LADY

  • thanks now that can help me with actin

  • Its difficult to elaborate it to the point of outrageous if there are so many of them...

  • This is a very good strategy that I think a lot of people call association, and it usually works not only for random things like locations in parking lots, but also when one needs to remember something for a test, for example. At our company Brainscape, we help people learn using flashcards, which is also another effective way to learn and remember. Thanks for sharing this and check out our videos and our site when you can!

  • sometimes thinking crazy can be the smartest way of living life. :) like parking ur car u have to think of an elephant to remember where u parked it.

  • I don't have good memory apparently. I didn't understand have of what these people were saying.

  • And what do you think about Brain Boosters?, could improve your memory as yow were a child.

Just, I liked to feel this sensation again and I can confirm that works, is like your brain requires data all time. Do you remembre the movie? Simple it's awesome! I recommend to try it at least one time, then you will have another point of view.

  • Good thanks

  • Order a brain tuner or bio tuner.Electro therapy works.

  • she is hottttttttttttt

  • thank you

  • I would like to do christine 6 times

  • Or you could think about beating her up so that he has 6 teeth left.

  • "owtrajus" :)

  • ühm_i_féÈl_sò_lÓNély_tÓDAÿ

  • is it me or do they sound exactly alike?...wait... what was i watching?

  • How do I get to remember how many ppl I have sex with?

  • i thin the information at 1:40 is essentialy, very true, and very helpful, and I NEED TO DO THIS!!!!!!!! FOCUS FOCUS

  • But for more complex things in school not fucking parking lot. Remembering a long text... I am not going to think of a fucking image to remember a verse or remember an equation. There must be another way.

  • ....I just remember

  • I don't care remembering where I parked my car, I care remembering all the shit I study for class.

  • if you can't fucking remember where u've parked then ur just an idiot.

  • Ouhh that asian tactics...

  • i think using that method would make studying much more complicated...

  • ths is lame..

  • I use this exact technique anyway, but its an ace way, especially since it impresses alot of ppl. With me, ppl keep saying "how do you remember so much!?". Apparently, curry removes plaque from your brain, and this in turn allows you to remember more. Try it and see what you think. btw you have to eat curry a few times for it to take affect :)

  • Small irrelevant correction: An elephant has 8 appendages. 4 legs, 2 ears, 1 tail and 1 trunk.

  • ahh asian

  • This is pure genius!

  • This is nice. Before I watched this video, I was doing this method without even knowing it! This method does help and has been helping as long as I can remember.

  • What were yWo What did I start typiWtf did I write thiHaaalp I'm loosing my memor-

  • I would just start singing "Like a G6" but switch it to "Like a E6"

  • @leon8chicken LMAO, 'like a E6, like a like a E6!'

  • @leon8chicken good one

  • Thanks for the tips! Playing memory games is a great way to improve your memory also, we offer a mobile memory game for iPhones and Android-Powered phones!

  • I try to use that technique but then I remember the one from last time. Was it Elephant, Dog or Tiger?

  • he? I first thought this is this chick... you know tom cruises wife...

  • what if you park your car in E-1?? i would have to think of an elephant with 1 leg because he had the other 3 cut off due to diabetes and the trumpet was removed because it was bitten by a rattler snake and it ate the flesh of the trumpet away., .....yeah i can remember all that!

  • smoking weed dosent seem to help

  • Parking lot (E6) Elephant Sex! Elephant have sex in the parking lot. You don't see that everyday?

  • @kitno1 Cause I will remember that :)

  • This is child's play.

  • @natureboy295 Not really. The more associations we have with our memory, the easier we can remember something.

  • Well i used this technique even without someone informing me about this technique. it just naturally came to me. But i was looking for a technique where i dont have to put much thought in something to remember it. i guess ppl are born with this ability....

  • this is a nice technique but where is the real answer to improving memory here!!!! i dont wana have to rely on a certain thing to rember something else i just want to remember it whenever i want without have to use any techniques

  • alrite does anyone have a better answer to improve memory rather then connect things to remember im talking about the actual ability to rember just 1 thing whenever you want not other things tht lead on to it maby information like 7-8 hours of sleep certin foods to eat that actually benefit my memory but other then that something else thats relly beificial to guerenti to help me improve my memory cmon i know there has to be a way

  • ive used this before and it works vey well

  • hahahahhaha these kind of techniques made laugh to fucking death... hahahahahha

Show me a technique that how can I memorise a book of 1000 pages in a week.

  • She's smart.

  • Hey, This may sound really random, but for me I trained myself to remember things by first remembering numbers (I do 4 rows with 3-18 numbs). For me at least it has something to do with the amount of things I'm memorizing (i.e. number of words in a sentence, or letters on a key board.) then the actual info I recalling. And always speaking aloud to yourself is a HUGE HELP.

  • Eat fish it works!

  • Her ugly chinese face I will never forget.. Are you sure she is a PHD or she has Permanently Head Damage...PHD..shit, That i can remember very well..

  • @wogok1 Oh hell no thats fucked up. ha ha ha ha

  • If you want to remember just be creative

    thats all

  • i agree; most people who can remember things easily, do what doctor Chan was saying sub-consciously. i think the more detail you connect to an abject or "thing", the easier you'll be able to remember it.

  • Make sure that you can "recall" all the things that you do not want to be able not to "recall" and then your memory will improve from this procedure if you do follow it just as I have instructed you to do so.

  • im able to remeber anything i remember when i was 1 and being carryed by my mother

  • I see elephants in my parking lot every night. But then again I am an alcoholic.

  • what does she a PHD in... It says she has a PHD and she is a doctor... somehow i think she isn't a doctor and all her information is from psychologists... so isn't it better to interview a psychologist rather than interview a fake doctor.

  • @WaterMelon482

    Maybe she has both?

  • The whole point of improving your memory is to enrich your brain. All of you complaining about Dr. Chan's tips are hindering yourselves from enriching your brain and improving your memory; thus making your whole search of "how to improve your memory" pointless.

  • @FifiChanel05 the main reason people are developing poor memories is because of diet...especially sugar, cut down on sugar intake and the brain will function better thus your memory will follow....

  • yea this just gives you more things to remeber

  • yea repeat what you want to remember over and over

  • this is to complicated not really apealing seems like no one would be able to do it. how would i apply this with something complicated?? i dont think this really works, who knows though..

  • I dont mean to be rude but this is obvious, i agree exactly with @ludridoptics

  • Dr.Chang is really cool!

  • ... in my oppinion this way of memorizing is not effective in all ways, like for example memorizing an name. If i try to memorize a name by changing it into something weared orso, people/i would forget the original name and memorizing the weared name instead. So when i need the the original name, i cant memorize it couse the weared name keeps popping up.

  • OK. a technique for big words and also numbers?

  • nothing new

  • This is also referred to as "learning by association" and it actually does help for some people.

  • @setfreejr

OMG how are you going to tell me?. I know plenty of people who say patato.

  • @setfreejr

Same thing, you say Potato I say patato.

  • elephants having sex

  • or you can just remember E6.

  • I was able to remember a list of 10 words in a row :)

  • she is hootttttt

  • im about to punch my computer monitor

  • ohh

  • I can't remeber an elephant, with 6 legs and all that other non sense she mentioned. I'd just get even more confused LOL.

  • I've had bad memory since I was like 10 lol

  • I wish the white girl would emphasize every other word....

  • mehn i really hate studying at night!!im really dyingg and want to go to sleeepp..i hope this will help me from my problem,, i really cannot concentrate that well during days..

  • Comment removed

  • i'm going to tell me course tutor that some chinese woman on youtube told me to think of pink elephants to pass my exams

  • LOL

  • cant i just take a drug?

  • It makes sense. Relate one thing to its close "cousin" is a way to deepen the memory trace in the brain.

That's how Knowledge NoteBook works as well...

  • apandage wat the fuck

  • @IMicky132I

lol , i had the same reaction

  • maybe she should remember to have plastic surgery

  • haha

  • Comment removed

  • These seem to be good strategies to remember, but ultimately, I think memory improvements comes from learning to be completely present...

  • cute. be here now...ommmmmmmmmmmm

  • wut do u mean..completely present?

  • good question...I mean paying attention, not daydreaming, or not thinking about this or that, but instead noticing...a good example is on the movie Bourne-Identity, on one scene jason bourne remembers everything in the parking lot--becuz he was paying attention...this is something which takes practice, but thats y paying attention during class in school is a good training for the mind as well as the subject the teacher is teaching.

  • The free association method that she mentioned is only useful for artsy people.

Logical people like me will remember the sequence of events that lead to the spot E6, instead of that random extra crap pink elephant information.

  • @JimexJimex

Actually, memory-linking (which is exactly what she's discussing) is one of the most popular methods used in science, math, and even in the practice of medicine for helping us to remember. It works for anyone in any field--but is HIGHLY used in those fields we associate with logic. Memory linking is amazingly useful in math--particularly in helping students develop the ability to automatically know how to progress through complex equations.

  • I give you a good one:pick up a reference point. may be a higher point.you can't forget that one,I don't care how bad it's your memory ,It'll work for you.

  • checkout this blogspot!

    brainmemorymaniac

    useful

  • couldnt find it, or its just empty

  • excelent, this is a the way i used to remember my lessons when i was young and no one told me to use this brilliant technique!

  • im scraching my head now. She seems to be confused herself. I guess the music in the video made me watched all of it.

  • this is called creative thinking not "improving ur level of memory"

  • i don't like the technique of thinking of other things to remember something else... there has to be a way to just remember things plain and simple exactly the way they are cuz when you do that it processes fasts in your head (that is if you do remember) I'm not just looking for things that make remembering things easier, i'm looking for ways to actually IMPROVE my memory, anyone and everyone please reply to this comment

  • Luridoptics, I'm looking for the same thing, so let me know any info better than this, I'll do the same for you if i come across anything

  • Comment removed

  • @luridoptics It is somewhat complex to improve your memory. I am not an expert in this field. An efficient and simple thing is to be healthy, get the omega 3-6-9 acids, following the guides lines to a better health, is going to make you able to focus better and remember better.

The method you mentioned i believe to be stupid aswell i remember extremely well, and never used any of those methods, i find them very silly to be honest.

You can also use a "drug" if your desperate but it has down sides

  • @luridoptics If your desperate then you can use a drug perscriped for people with ADHD. It will stimulate your brain so you find everything more interesting, even plain paper will be more interesting, it will be alot easier to focus, and actually remember what you read, because of the huge increase of interest in anything, clining to every word.

BUT here is the side effect. Once you stop using it (if you used it alot) you will find life in general less interesting. these are 2 two i know.

  • @luridoptics hey ill reppy back because you are right, i could'nt have said it better myself man, i smoke a lot of bombay California Chronic b4 kush was around i'm 24 years old and it sucks to forget things.. i just want to improve my memory aswell.

  • @luridoptics Tell me, if you get some decent answers to that.. =P

  • @luridopticspink grape juice it helps

  • @strarabjt organic grape juice helps 40% more

  • @luridoptics use as many of your five senses as you can and you will remember better

  • @luridoptics sleep well eat well and dont do drugs lol sorry but its true

  • @luridoptics That mnemonic method has you thinking about it more, then draws already familiar associations to anchor what you're trying to remember into the context of what you already know. Tho you needn't go as wide as elephants to remember where you parked

  • @luridoptics If only you could use this method to remember your grammar.

  • @sebmck Ha funny better you better write that one down and use it in your comedy act fuck i hate stupid coments like this

  • @luridoptics thats called biology section neuralstructure :D

  • @luridoptics I would normally agree, but that's not quite what she's saying. Think about it like this. The harder it is for you to learn something, the harder it is for you to forget it. She's essentially asking you to do more work in remembering. It's supposedly easier because the extra elements in the example are completely incongruous to your environment. My guess as to why people who have naturally good memories don't need to do absurd abstraction, is that they naturally contextualize.

  • @imshippyupup The context of a story is so important to remember.

  • @luridoptics I sincerely felt that 'the depths of processing' are certainly the key to improving memory retention. However, I contest that it is more efficient and serving to the faculty of retention, to the associate the object targeted for memory with things of concrete and abstract relation. For instance, using the parking lot example she used, if one instead thought to themselves; What is the distance to the building from my car? Am I parked by a light post? How far away from the post? Etc.

  • @luridoptics

This is a form of association, which is one of the key ways to improve your memory. More cognitive connections = more neural networking.

  • Thanks.

  • hehe pink elephants =D

but how do u remember dance easily and faster..?

  • well, its all about having fun and keep doing it. And the more dances you learn, the faster you remember new dances

  • that interviewer was terrible!

  • hahahahaha... this video just shows how dumb she really is,... and believe me guys, all psychologists are like this...

  • ... U do Know all she said is real and working

  • where you parked your car is not the kind of thing I think many people would forget... I know, that this example is true, but I also know, that you don`t need a psychologist for telling you this, and make it look like its something very complicated, and is a new lesson...

  • Oh ok lol

to be honest i kinda knew thisimagining thing from b4 lol

  • Japaneese*

  • soo..Who started the american revolution?

-i know! pink elephants with six apendages!!

  • lmaooooooo

  • -.-;

  • She's smart and sexy :)

  • lol

  • Have you seen this YouTube video? Search for "How to Activate Your Photographic Memory". Fascinating information on boosting your memory and learning at the speed of light!

  • LOL@ the complete idiot interviewer!!! What an inbred! Hahhahahahaha! The asian woman at :44 says "So what is depth level of processing" and then goes on to explain EXACTY what it is! Then at 1:37, directly after the asian woman explains EXACTLY what it is, the completely brain dead, obtuse interviewer asks her " So what does it mean exactly by deeper level of processing?" HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! TIME TO GET A NEW JOB IDIOT! AT LEAST PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT YOUR INTERVIEWEE IS ACTUALLY SAYING.

  • Yeah, yeah, Internet bastard. You got your pleasure from bashing other people, so now you can continue living your miserable life.

  • well.

she didnt really explain the incident, she just mentioned "depth level of processing" and gave an example of how you could do it...

Then in her second answer at 1:37 she explains the incident itself and how it works... I see that it appears weird that the interviewer asks this question again without carrying it out better but result of it (second answer) was quite interessting and useful to me...

  • rofl so good

  • damn give her a break.. lol. hahaha yeah i noticed that too i was like wtf did i miss something lol.

  • Sorry, misted over and missed the end of the vid. So what happens if the Elephant forgets to shit at the end of the row your car is parked! How do you find the bastard thing then? Fuck it! I'm taking the bus.......

  • why dont u just write E6 on your mobile phone and store it... Then you dont even have to remember anything...

  • Would you give up your memories for technology?

  • Lol i agree with Coconutuke

  • she just explained how you lengthen the depth of processing by the elephant, and then she asks it again

  • That is what I was thinking.

  • Assuming you can remember how many limbs an elephant has.

  • instead, why can't you just say E6 six times?

  • usualy saying it more times when u stop and get distracted u instantly forget it

  • because of the neural 'map' concept which was just explained to you. By simply repeating e6 6 times you will be better off than having seen it once and nothing more however there is more you can do for yourself because you have ot yet added a visual component nor activated the creative process (both such faculties would add neural reference points which would later lead you back to e6). Ex: instead of repeating it alone, imagine a red Engine with six green cylinders. if u try later, ull c E6 2

  • Always listen to asian when it comes to smart

  • I was going to write a comment but I can't remember what I was going to write!!!!!!!

  • Try elaberating lol

  • omg i thought of elephant 2..

    fish+elephant=fishaphant :)

  • its different from when u rem when u were young, your memory cells start developing at the age of around 3 months-1 year and u start actual visual memorization around 2 years old. but since ur brain is very active u intake that visual actions and it is sort of imprinted on ur brain but this is memorization as if something totally new that you remember rather than remembering something your brain cells first see

  • hahah omfg when she said E6, the first thing i thought of was elephant haha

  • how many elephants...i forgot...,my brain is killing me

  • in college i used some kind of techinique like this to pass many exams. it works.

  • help me out... i wanna kno
