  • all my friends use them and so do i theve caught snook big bass and ive never caught anything i dint no why is there any tips

  • I fish a golf course all the time, and one hole has a beautiful pond... but its covered in lili pads.... we used to just not fish there, but then we discovered Zoom horny toads, we have moved on from those and our now on ribbits!... no one else around knows how to fish their so the place never gets fished.... 10 lb 9oz largemouth is our biggest catch outta their... and guess what? it was on a ribbit

  • Use in strips the bass love this bait a must have for my tackle box

  • The Ribbit Fraaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwg. :-)

  • I started using these Ribbits and they have been kicking Bass butt in Florida !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • im goin to bass pro this weekend and imma pick up about 3 packs of each color lol!

  • @trophyfisher13 lol same here dude tell me if you like em becuase i wanted scum frogs but i think these would be way better now and you would never have the problem with them filling with water

  • @177gaga dude i picked up some black ones and the first one i used, the nose ripped off on about the 10 fish. BUT the second one lasted allll the way up until today... no frekkin lie dude. the are actualy very durable, especialy with owner twist lock hooks..

  • Nice job guys check mine out from Sam Rayburn Reservoir, Tx. I hve a few Ribbit Frog fish on there too.

  • They dont get water in them at all. I love ribbit frogs, but i like frogs that have more action such as popping and walking and chuging... No hard feelings :)

  • @skeetless1122 it's not what you like, its what the bass likes that matters!

  • Listen to what he says at the end about the eleven o clock part seen a lot of guys miss big fish on early hooksets on a frog. Skeet spo's suck they fill up with water.

  • skeetless you can keep your spro's I'd rather have a ribbit on the end of my line anyday.

  • Spro Frogs and Koppers frogs are the BEST

  • Love using these Ribbits. The plastic is stronger and last a lot longer.

  • ragetails are better

  • where and what time of the year is this?

  • fet men

  • Definitely my favorite topwater lure

  • I want to buy the mold for these make a bunch and sell these babys

  • I have spent few hundred bucks on these frogs. Black bull and White bull frog with the double take hook. #6. I have used these since the season opened in WI. I am hooked I can't stop fishing these things. Today I cought a 44 inch Muskie 15 lb. in my 180$ kayak. The frogs last a long time. They can be fished really slow even stop and jerk them. I tend to steady real in but at times I change it up and when I do I hook up with something.

  • where can i buy those hooks they show in beginning in stuff........

  • @bassallyear when u find it tell me i think i no what they r but not sure.......

  • @bassallyear They're made by Stanley. Most stores that carry the frogs carry those hooks. Academy carries them and so does landbigfish. com

  • i going 2 be fishing with this 4 the first time monday any good tips or sum kind of help

  • this is all we use in oklahoma on ponds

  • fish with ribbit and dont catch any thing any tips

  • first cast yesterday caught a 4 pounder first time ever using it too ahhaha

  • my fav frog on the market

  • Comment removed

  • I LOVE these!!! The strikes are like somebody dropped a brick on your bait! You can even let it sink just abit in the weed pockets and twitch it... GREAT lure.

  • ive fished both rage tail and ribbit i just spent 130 bucks on ribbits im totally sold on them i caught 6 bass yesterday abd 3 today and probably would have had more but i missed hooks more then half the time i was fishing melon and pearl bull larger then regular with tokar 5/0 w/corkscrew stopped missing later on near evening i used melon with red flake i totally suggest tokar hooks they cost more but well worth it

  • @nico4kp2 lol i used them in the keys in open water near the bays , if you're familiar with the famous pier down there where the bottom glass boat is, i hooked a tarpen using the frog LOL its not even native to that area.

  • strike king rage toads are better

  • Far out. I guess I've been fishing these types of frogs too slow. They're pretty much using them as buzz baits. With angry top water bass like that, I wonder if zipping just about anything over their heads at that speed would induce just as many strikes.

  • I just bought these ribbit frogs. Do you reel them in fast or slow?

  • just keep it on top

  • I love the Ribbit! I fish them at all types of speeds.

  • These guys are ripping there lures fast through the water. I thought topwaters are more effective when fished slow.

  • not all the time like a jitterbug that is more medium to low speed when a buzz bait is more fast pace over lilly pads or weeds it all depends on the type of topwater your fishing

  • Fishing Frogs, soft plastic worm lures, bass lures 30pk on ebay: seller: jcstriper

  • I have had awesome results on these frogs !

  • strike king rage tail toad best frog ever not ribbits

  • could you do the same thing with a buzzbait and a frog trailer?

  • This is an outstanding bait in spring through fall. Also good with the swimmax hook.

  • god i need a boat lol

  • Looks like i might have to get one of these and give it a try. But i know it will not out produce my favorite top water lure the "jitterbug".

  • i love this frog i buy the new high floaters in bulk, i fish them in thick hydrilla and in algea the thicker the better the fish are extremely explosive its the best time ive had fishing

  • best frog baits hands down

  • bo i bet the buzzfrogs and the horny toads are better than these

  • Ive tried them all and in my opinion, nothing attracts bass more than Stanley Ribbits

  • what color are you using cuz mine suck and there to light to cast and i cant fine the weighted hook i just cant cast them anywhere

  • and if i find the weighted hooks do these work at night

  • by letting it sink i've caught at least 5 bass ranging from 4lbs to 7lbs. I've fished it on top (hard to set the hook unless they swallow it) and twitching it on the bottom, best luck was sinking.

  • cool. Glad to see your catching the big ones.

  • To date the best lure. Ive been using these lures scence the prespawn in 09. Fishing them Topwater/ Bottom/ or in the middle. Let me tell ya, Awsome!! Show me the money babe!!

  • I love these frogs, i hooked an 8pounder with the baby bass. how fast do you fish it? I dont' fish mine anywhere near as fast as this video, maybe I should.

  • I fish mine bumping the bottom at a slow retrieve, using a Gamakatsu EWG hook with XPS 3/8 hook weights. Ive never seen it used in open water. Ive away's used it in Shady cover, on clear hot day's when it's in the upper 80's. Water temps in the 80's too.

  • I also like to fish it by pulling it up and letting it sink, I've caught quite a few bass doing this. I've wondered about using it on the bottom like you say, I'll give it a try, I bought some of their weighted hooks to use with them too.

  • I mainly like to flip in into cover, with hardly any splash and try to keep a stealthy Presintation. Letting it sink to the bottom and then slowly retrieve it.

  • Have you tried it yet? How many have you caught. Give my the detailed...

  • I prefer the sizmic toad but those are just as good

  • wow you reel it in fast

  • I had to get these and the Hot Foot ones!

Goin' back and forth between them, I caught 27 fish in 3 hours and missed well over 40!!!

They love when I throw them in the weeds and whatever else is stickin' out of the water, and pull them across the top out of the cover!

  • that is quite a few fish

  • I was using these today and the topwater fishing was slowing down so i fished it really slow like a swim bait. It landed me a decent 3lb bass. Not bad for being 98 degrees outside haha.

  • Can't wait to use these tomorrow in the everglades! COME ON PEACOCK BASS NO WAMY NO WAMY NO WAMY POP!!!

  • Can you use the Stanley Ribbot Frog from shore?

  • Kovic, By now I hope you have tried this.. These frogs are amazing. I used them from shore and have very good success. I fished them with NO weight and had a truly awesome day.

  • hey should i use a Ribbit Frog during the summer...do i have to use it in shallow water only?

  • I had alot more success with this fishing it slow and in the twilight hours around 7p to 8p central time, or that is when I would catch the most anyway...You will not be dissapointed.

  • does it matter if u reel it in slowly or fast like in the video ?

  • no it doesn't matter...i go slow because sometimes the bass dont get it all in their mouth

  • yes it does matter on water temp, clearity, if the lake is flat or a little windy. and what kind of area your fishing(lilly pads or open water

  • Here in North Central Georgia, this lure fished around grass weeds, stumps and blow downs is a big bass lure. Be sure to use 30# spider wire braid so you can horse the fish out with the weeds it dives into.

  • I have a few questions.. first, does a heavier line cast further(baitcaster)? second, how do you get enough weight on a top water bait to cast it far without puting split shots on it ( which always make it sink). third, how do you keep buzz baits on top of the water?

  • Get a better reel.

  • 1. a heavier bait(most lures come in same color and orientation at different weights) cast farther which means heavier line and medium action rod.

    2. heavier lure

    3. keep your rod tip up find a reeling speed that keeps you at the top.

  • THese look awesome i actually just went up to buy some of these because i've watched this video. ;) can't wait to use'em

  • i bought some at walmart

  • Never, have I ever!

If there's one thing I don't put up with, there's probably two.

  • What is the best size? The big bull ribbit or the regular size one?

  • these are fished without a weight right? comment me back at my account

  • that is right do not use weight, except put a small glass bead or plastic round bead avove the head it really cuts the water n weeds. Plus put a small jingle bell on the shank of the hook before hooking the frog.

  • your wrong. the screw in head has a small weight on the tip of the hook so it doesnt roll.

  • what the hell r u talking about dude i never said it didnt stupid

  • you said that " That is right do not use weight." so ya you said that.

  • Yeah I said do not use weight! Ok Damn thats my opinion i fish it without a weight instead of a weight on the hook i have both hooks n i prefer to not use a weighted hook. So quit acting like the only way to fish this frog is to use a weighted hook, because its not. Stupid

  • also what are you talking about keeping the bait from rolling over? I went through about 6 to 8 different packs of ribbit frogs in less than two months last summer and never had a problem with them Rolling Over! If your having that problem then your doing something wrong. Get a Clue

  • no they use weights at the tip of the screw in hook.

  • im not wrong in offtering my opinion to not use a weighted hook instead of using a weighted hook. I have both i have used both probably just like you have n i absolutely prefer to fish this bait without a wieghted hook.

  • I have had my best luck in weedy areas, but they also work great off of the banks of 'regular water' as well.

  • do u have to fish frogs on weedy areas or can it be just regular water?

  • no,you could fish them around docks.but i have better luck in heavy cover.

  • bagus

  • I had the same problem with my frogs ripping. I went to Gander Mtn. to get some more frogs and told one of the workers about my problem, he introduced to to the Parasite. It is a lure accessory (a sort of clip) that prolongs the life of worms and other rubber lures like the ribbit frog. It is easy to put on the lure and does help the ribbit frog last longer. When I used the Parasite the frog did last longer. I would recommend the Parasite to any anglers who use the ribbit frog.

  • ive figured out these lures work very good in ponds where there is a rapid decent and a little bit of weed or lili pad's. i fish it by casting it righgt on the edge of the bank and retrieving it at a medium speed.

  • xy262, in cold weather nothing ,nothing beats a straight rapala. stick to the basics

  • i dont know ,in open water i thro a buzz bait, pads ,drilla, ect. the scum frog with some mods rules never rips/tears very basic bait that works

  • ive thrown this frog alot and caught a considerable number of bass on them. my only problem is after 2 fish your frogs usually ripped and its time for a new frog. i suggest throwing this frog over matted hydrilla and lilly pads.. but a hyrdilla mat is my favorite!

  • what pace do you reel them in

  • Well it depends reel them slow when its cold outside and when its warm reel them at a speedy pace.

  • Man that looks fun!

  • oops whoever comments im newbieairsoft i 4 got to logout of my friends account

  • ok nevermind about the weights im fine without them , also the first day i used this in the baby bass color in my friends lake maybe the 7th cast a fish hit it and exploded out of the water right next to shore i didnt have a weigher but i guess it was about a 8 pounder and it brings the biggest bass out of a lake that u dont think has big fish for example i went to the lake in my neighborhood and i caught a good 6 pounder -recamed this to anyone that wants to catch big bass

  • I think that for some lakes, these would make too much noise and scare the fish away. But just for some lakes.

  • These guys are actually throwing stanley frog hooks specifically designed for these type of frogs. You can get these hooks from Cabela's. I believe Stanley produces these hooks in only two size and weight, 3/0 & 4/0 and plain or with a 1/8 ounce head. Stanley Ribbit Frogs comes in both a floating and a super slow sinking model when rigged weightless. Gotta love the hook slot making it weedless even when the hook is not sitting flat on the body = great hook sets! Hope this helps guys.

  • on this video there using 8 oz weights connected to the hook does anyone suggest to do that and if u do where can i get the hooks and what size

  • ugh..I've had this lure for a few weeks now, haven't caught a thing =(

  • its best mostly at ponds

  • can some one help me!!!!?

  • gambler cane toad is the best but ribbits ok..i dislike the strike king rage tail.

  • the gamblers cane toad beats allll

  • nice bass why do you put them back

  • i need help how do i get worm luers to float i dont use weight either

  • I just tried out my first ribbit frogs this evening...they worked very good and I caught some nice bass on them. The frogs had good action and the bass hit them hard. One problem I had with the frogs was they seemed to flip upside down while reeling them, any suggestions?

  • The ribbits are great man! One of my favorite toads!

  • Very nice video

  • I have some ponds by my house and I absoulty kill it with the spro frogs,I tried an old style rubber frog and didnt do as well.G3 if you send me a couple I will try them out with video. Come to think if it lets me post a video of some spro action and let you tell me if your frogs will compare. Great video Sir. Every time I take a video camra out fishing I cant ever get any one to flim be we are catching 30-60 fish in a 3-5 hour period. Glad to see a good top water video.

  • I am verry upset with this video not mad but i bought 3 or 4 of those and they dident work for me

  • so how do you fish these? Do you just keep with a steady constant retrieve or do you use more of a stop and go method?

  • a steady retrieve works best. you can rig with a weighted hook for more distance or without weight for finesse. let the feet do the work and hang on. you can get the floating frogs and use a stop and go method over vegetation

  • nice fish.. i have to get me some of those frogs.. hopefully they sell them at turnurs outdoors, if not wallmart.. would u consider them for spring time spawn bass out here in cali.. ??

  • I just cameback from Cabela's in Reno and got me a five pack of the Ribbit firetiger/orange hot feet. they look like there' going to bring in some super spring bass, going to try them this weekend. (Sac area)

  • You bet. Bass will react to the sound if not just seeing it

  • Fished today using a lily pad weighted ribbit frog slayed bass with slow retreive under bright central florida skies. Ribbiet frog a must pay!

  • I had a three pack of ribbit frogs for years in my tackle and never used until recently and had two nice strikes!!! VERY EXPLOSIVE!!!! I did not land any fish that day but my go to bait is the ribbit frog!

  • ya ill still take buzzfrogs over these frogs anyday. Buzzfrogs are way more durable!

  • gunna try that

  • i love these frogs in the spring and up shallow near weeds i caught a fish pushing 6 lbs early last spring on the pumpkin frog

  • the only time I have had a chance to use them the fishing was not very good and the fish were not hitting top water lures so I cant say but looking at how they move in the water they should work

  • good bait!

  • what is that lure called? and where do you buy it?

  • Ribbit Frog. Manufactured by the Stanley Jig Co. You can buy them in most all major sporting goods.

  • can you buy it in wal mart or big 5?

  • I know Bass Pro has them. Not sure about Wal Mart

  • what about fishermans warehouse?

  • academy walmart big 5 and every other big sports store has them

  • ok. do they work good?

  • oh yah..damn fish nearly scared me to death when they popped out of nowhere to get your frog..make sure you have pliers though..they inhale those frogs

  • cool. how much do they cost? are they separate or in a pack?

  • they cost $3.00 in a pack of five..five frogs, 3 bucks

  • they are in 2 sizes the large frogs have 3 the smaller 5 in a pack and where im from in michigan i can only find them at gander mountain

  • does it matter in the lines too,im using 12 lbs test lines

  • when is a good time to use those ive order some but not doing so good

  • we have good luck late in the evenings throwing them around lay downs, pads, and grass lines

  • i would use them mostly during spring, late spring, and fall...sometimes during the summer..use them like a buzzbait around structures suited for bass (heavy vegetation, stumps, lilly pads, grass lines, etc..)and along the shore line

  • dude ur a genuis
