Hi, I just want to help Karl out by saying that workers who cut pineapples often have no fingerprints whatsoever due to the keratolytic effect of bromelain. What I think Karl may have heard is some sort of urban myth based on that. That pinapples dissolve skin means that if you had a bath of it, you would dissolve etc. Which is not true because keratolytic effect of bromelain is not due to Citric acid.
