Also, the uniform worn by the Sisters of Purgatory is the Angel Mort maid uniform with a red suit jacket. Eva-Beatrice's resemblance to Rena is most likely a coincidence (the bangs of their hair are different); Kanon's use of a hatchet is just a one-scene shout out; and let's also not forget the several shared voice actors between Umineko and Higurashi, which hold little significance.

It is also possible that Rika was a mere pawn who ascended to piece. In episode 7 it says that Bern got trapped in a logic error caused by another which. It could be Featerine who was playing against Lamda

Uh no. Higurashi is influenced by Umineko. Higurashi is in fact a game set up by Bernkastel and Lambdadelta, in which they fight for something that I can't remember. Bern's piece is Rika, while Satoko is Lambdadelta's.

Rika is, basically, Bernkastel's furniture.

Actually, this theme fits that context perfectly. It has a sense of elegance, while, at the same time, giving off an air of uncertainty- plenty of which that incarnation of Beatrice gave to show the others on the island. Beautiful, yet hollow, graceful, but evil, calming, but serious. That's the sort of paradox this theme has.
