I'll agree with you here. Final Fantasy VII is pretty overrated, it's true. But the 16-bit Final Fantasies actually have a cast of characters you can get to know (excluding FFV, unless you REALLY liked Galuf. XP), and their soundtracks are pure excellence. Without an argument to back FFVII up, I have to say, you can't go around calling people "nubs" or "fags", just because your 3D FFVII is so "amazing". I think I'm done ranting for now.

FF4 is great because it's story and gameplay is smooth and easy to pick up and play in minutes... It also keeps you in detail of the story and it introduced the ATB concept... Both are equal... Each had something new to bring into the series... Both are awesome...

Graphics and story are rad, but VOICES SUCK. Kain is a PRETTY BOY - his voice is WAAAAAY to deep. Way too deep. Cecil's works, Rydia... GAH, NO. SOMEONE GET GOOD VOICES IN THERE.

I really hope there's a way to turn them off or switch to the japanese voices or something, or I'm going to get SO annoyed playing this game. *sob*

You can turn the voices off but you should notice that in the Japanese version, Kain's voice is deep too which must mean that it's meant to be that way.  I also don't understand why everyone hates the voice acting in the NA versions and love the Japanese ones so much. I think the voices are fine... if only they'd say who's doing Edge. :)

I actually like Kain's voice, it's incredibly similar to his Japanese voice. Cecil's voice sounds a little too young for him. The Japanese voice for Cecil sounds a little more mature, but his English voice is pretty good.
